I only had this heater for 2 days so longevity is unknown but everything else is great so far! I need to keep 1 gallon jar for brine shrimp at 27-28C (~82F). This heater has compact rounded shape so it fits great in the jar, the controls are outside so I can make adjustments without making a mess, large numbers show current temperature in the tank, and even so the heater is 50W which normally would be too much for 1G tank, it maintains 27-28C temperature at all times. Most mini heaters don't even have a thermostat!

These are my go-to now! I absolutely love that you can see the temp right on the heater. You don't have to worry about not knowing if your tank is at proper temp. I have these in 2.5 gallons, 3 gallon, and a 15 gallon and it works exceptionally in each!

This is one of my favorite heaters. We needed to heat up a small aquarium for a Beta and this was perfect. We were trying to use a flat heater and it just didn't work. It would not keep the temperature up and the water stayed cold. These little heaters have kept the temperature up and I love the digital reading right on the heater. It is easy to read. I have since bought 2 or 3 additional heaters for small tanks replacing others that just don't seem to be up to par. I love this little heater.

So cool to be able to see the temp readout. Also the design is about the size of a pack of smokes so you can place it deeper or higher and have little temperature variation in your tank which is probable more natural. I keep it higher so the bottom is cooler. The cord has a one button switch to set the temperature. Just keep pushing it until it rotates around to where too want. Only metric but no big deal. I keep mine at 21c. Which keeps my tank at 70f

I bought the 200 watt version and I use it for a 1 gallon humidifier. Why 200 watts for 1 gallon of water?? Because I want the water to heat up as quickly as possible to it's max temp. (34C or 93F) - Which it does!! It takes about 5 minutes is all. The humidifier is only used at night so the heater is turned off during the day. When I turn it back on, it goes to the temperature that it was set to when I turned it off. When it reaches temperature it's set to, the red light flashes which I really like!! When the temp drops a bit, the flashing stops (the light stays on) - when it warms back up - it flashes again. It was delivered on time, it works great and the price is reasonable. Thats about as good as it gets!! (-:

It's perfect! Just what Blue needed. I know I'm probably not supposed to use it on this type of container, but anyway. I have a betta that after every treatment I could find it turns out he is just getting old. But he's not giving up so neither am I. He was struggling to reach the top for air and since he was originally in a 1.5 cube which was tall it gave him no room to swim when he could, I had to reduce his tank water to more than 1/2 & the heater was a preset & did not keep him warm therefore stressing him out. So I decided find him a heater I could control to maintain a steady temperature for him. Believe me I look & compared and this was my choice. He lives in a 3 gallon temporary plastic tank with fluval stratum, gravel, live plants his sponge filter, moss ball & his new heater. I'm proud to say he is a very happy aging betta. Temperature stay the same so he doesn't stress, he's eating good and actually sleeps on his amazon swords. I would definitely recommend this heater to any one in need of a small reliable controllable heater.

I've got 3 heaters I've tried and this one is my favorite. It is small and not in the way, even in the 5 gallon I have. My betta (Mario) actually loves to be near it and it doesn't cook his very long flowy fins. I love that I can set the temperature outside of the tank and then be able to look over at any point of the room and easily see the digital number very clearly. Some people might want one more "hidden" read out, but it makes me feel more secure that the thermometer is doing its job. It may actually suction too well. Once a month or as needed, I try to take it out for cleaning. I always have to battle the bottom suction cup. But again, I feel good that it's so secure and won't move and squish Mario or my snail (Tony). I have it set at 79 and have noticed it goes between 78 and 81 frequently throughout the day. But that doesn't seem to bother Mario or Tony so I don't mind either. I've had this for 3-4 months now and will update if anything should go wrong but I'm thinking of getting another one for my 15 gallon with my other Betta (Angelo) and several snails. That heater will not be named but its supposed to be stronger and its just not working out.

All of the sudden this heater is stuck at 90+ degrees and won't allow me to adjust it any lower. I've turned the heater off, I hope I caught this before it did the tank inhabitants lasting harm. We'll see. Looks like I'm outside my return window. This is my third heater from this manufacturer. I love that you can adjust the heat from outside the tank with the switch on the cord. It’s super accurate, too, which I love in a heater this size. I have two thermometers checking this thing, a stick on and an old fashioned alcohol floatie and both agree it is spot on. You have to give it time to acclimate itself to your tank temp- because it will act a little weird at first. For some reason it is preset in the 80’s and mine kept going back to that at first. Just keep dialing it down to your ideal temp-I think it’s just the computer getting acclimated to your tank temp. Needless to say, put your fish in something else while this is going on. They are serious about not having these out of the water while they’re on. My cat knocked a tank off the table (big cat) one night and the heater melted its plastic guard before the problem was discovered. Unplug for water changes just in case.

I own two of these little heaters for my Nano Tanks. Decided on them after a long period of hit and miss with several other brands. Love the idea that I can adjust temp and not have to worry about freezing or cooking my little fish. Very reliable accurate and worth digit not being in Fahrenheit but in Celsius - solved that problem by purchasing several low cost digit thermometers with both readouts and always cross checking. Like that its circular and not typical tube shaped. Peace out.
