The huge heavy pkg arrived via UPS... I felt bad for the delivery guy but he had no problem. I removed the outer cardboard wrapping and was amazed that the chipper shredder was securely encased in a wooden frame. I thought that this would be difficult to remove but it wasn't. High quality all throughout the shipping. No damage at all. I had no difficulty assembling the handles and wheels to the unit all by myself (a 70 year old lady at that). First time using it required a couple of cranks extra but it took off and I used it about a half hour and no problems. No jamming. Nothing broke. I shredded dried yard waste, rose bush clippings and got brave and tried a piece of wood. No problems. I am looking forward to shredding the leaves when they drop this fall. That was my main reason for purchasing a shredder but it is turning out I am shredding lots more that I had thought I would because it is so easy. It is a heavy piece of equipment but it rolls around easily. (in my case from garage to back yard over lawn).One drawback was the location of the oil fill. It took juggling and in 100 degree heat (Central TX) I went out of my mind. So unless I missed something, I'll figure it out.I purchased extra blades (in case) but even early in and getting accustomed to the shredder it presented no problems. Fine product. Good shipping.

MADE IN CHINA

It's a Workhorse but it can be overloaded. It was damaged in the shipping. Also the air cleaner housing was broke. Check back in 25 days to see if it holds up. The air breather can be replaced as well as the bin being fixed or replaced. How good is the warranty? We will find out if they will fix it. It's a good product the only thing is it's made in China. Otherwise I'll probably keep it because it's a good machine. UPDATE 6-22-18 Seller said they would send me a new air breather housing. That's good response I had no trouble with service of this machine. The problems could be that they overloaded it with a size bigger than 3 in. Even at 3in you can only feed it in a little bit at a time or it will choke out. Otherwise it's still a great machine so far. Some people would give this for stars but that's where it is right now. UPDATE 6-26-18 IT'S A GOOD WARRANTY THE SELLER SENT ME A NEW AIR BREATHER HOUSING 👍 THANK-YOU ! ☺

I myself study product reviews prior to purchase so I hope this helps anybody interested in buying a product like this. I have used it for several moths now and ready to review. First of all I must say I am greatly impressed by this chipper and it has exceeded my expectations. This thing is a real work horse and does everything as advertised. I was skeptical when I first unboxed it thinking for its size it would not handle the job I bought it for but boy was I wrong. I had a overgrown fence row that needed clearing but no way of hauling off debris, the man I have that does my tree trimming told me he would have to charge a hefty price to do it because of the man hours involved. This thing chewed up and shredded everything. What I didn't use for mulch or to big to shred someone picked of for mulch and firewood for themselves . But be CAREFUL like I said this thing is a real hoss and you have to pay attention to what youre doing especially if you have never used one. Please read instructions and heed warnings. After a bad storm I lost two trees and again this thing was put to the test and it do a fantastic job. When it came time for the annual leaf clearing this was a real time saver and made work much easier than years past. Second thing is the customer service. My chipper arrived damaged from shipping so me and the UPS guy took pictures and he advised to contact the manufacturer and see about replacement parts. I sent photos and emailed to Great Circle and within a few hours I had a reply outlining corrective measures to ensure my satisfaction. I had replacement parts (along with some extras) sent out that evening. That kind of customer service is really rare these days. Third is the engine . Again I had doubts the 7hp engine could handle driving blades to shred a 3 inch diameter limb but it sure did and it starts very easy. Closing Ill say I am completely satisfied with this purchase and if you are considering purchasing a shredder I recommend this one. If you have a wooded lot or just a lot of trees and shrubs this thing is great. With my fence row project, storm damage and fall clean up mine has paid for itself this year.

It is what appears to be a nice unit. When mine arrived, the unit went together well although bolts were missing.I had metric bolts to correct.That's was O.K. The biggest complaint I have is the air filter came almost torn off the carborator ! I'm not able to use the engine until the filter housing is replaced. If only the makers could have put more into the crate to protect the plastic housing, it might have arrived unharmed. Today is the first of June and if I don"t hear from GreatCircle I just may return it. Amazon needs to screen there Shippers a little better as this is not the first report of this sort of damage reported. Just better-crating will correct the ongoing reported damage.....I later was able to reach GreatCircle and ordered part # Z300610 and three days later it arrived !! The folks were very nice and did there best to help me in my damage part. Being a California connection I must give these folks SIX STARS for quick service and product construction. My unit is well belt and I plan to break in the engine before putting it through it's job of chewing all my branches. THANKS GreatCircle !!

Does The Job quickly and efficiently

I did a lot of upfront research on what unit would do the best for my needs and finally took the chance on this unit. I was only hesitant as many reviews mentioned the poor packaging and shipment damage-NO PROBLEM THERE. Our unit arrived and there was no damage to the packing used and the UPS driver watched me unpack it and helped me move it into the garage. Next my grandson came down and we put it together in about a hour. The only comment we have on the assembly is: the manufacturer may have provided illustrations on what hardware WENT WHERE? Yesterday my wife and I ran the branches from a 30ft tree and were impressed with the ease and efficiency we were able to shred/chip all in about two hours. This is the only use as this time, but I have a dozen smaller trees we plan to do today. AT THIS WRITING - ALL MY EXPECTATIONS HAVE BEEN MET! It is still early in its use, but I believe it was an excellent machine for us and it replaced a Yard Machine, that we purchased in 2003 and had poor reliability and spent much $$$ on maintenance and repair-it gave our in Sep 2018 I give this a five star rating so far. Since my initial review, we have ground up about five more twenty foot trees with no problem.

Best wood chipper/shredder

What can I say? This product is awesome and far more than what I expected for it to do. First Amazon sent me a faulty product but in the end we contacted the manufacturer and they made it right. They went above and beyond to help us to get a working machine. We called Amazon about the faulty machine and they were zero help. So we ended up calling manufacturer and they were so helpful and sent me a new shredder in a few days. The person from tech support name guy was beyond helpful. He was there from day 1 I had a problem till the day I received the replacement and made sure it works it's supposed to. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a wood chipper/shredder.

Great chipper. I've used this for three days and was easy to start each time. I used it on my property and was fairly easy to move from one location to another. There were certain areas where the terrain was a bit uneven and was worried that the chipper would tip over, but there was no problems at all. One lesson I did learn was using the bag. If you don't remove it before it gets full then the wood chips would not shoot out and clog the system. I had a hard time pulling the starter when the system was jammed. I had to remove front part of the machine that held the motor and was able to unclog it. The whole process was relatively easy. I still give the product a 5 star.

This is a nice machine for the money

This is a nice machine for the money. Of course there are pluses and minuses, but overall you get what you pay for with this unit. Its well painted, solid and the engine runs well, although of course its noisier than a Honda, which is the gold standard IMHO. The machine arrived in very robust packaging, home made wooden crate. It was a little difficult to open, but with the right tools it was overcome. In spite of this the unit did sustain some minor dame in transit; the air cleaner housing was cracked. However when I called, 100% to Great Circle for the response, they had a new one out to me within 2 days. Now the operation. Its a 3" machine. I read the other reviews, yes its not going to take a 3" branch, but this is because the aperture is 3". So unless you can find a dead straight branch, practically the best you can feed into it is 2" or a little over. I found this perfectly adequate. With some loppers, and a saw, I was able to trim the branches and chip up a substantial tree in a morning, having cut up the 2.5"+ branches for my fireplace. The engine had enough power to deal with 2.5", it did slow a little on the bigger diameters, but it still chopped through the branches. I did not try the bag and just let the chips fall. Had to keep raking the chips out of the way, which was a little annoying, but otherwise everything was good. To be improved. Protecting the engine air cleaner in transit and also the chain holding on the plastic cover on the intake (for when leaves are processed) was a little flimsy and snapped. Overall, for price point provides value for money.

works very well, was going to rent one they wanted to charge $360 for 8 hours. I now take my time cutting small tree limbs. very satisfied.
