I am a concert sound engineer at an 850 cap performance arts venue in Portland, OR. Between the similarly spec'd Westone and Etymotics, these immediately stand out as passing the least colored sound. Specifically, they filter noticeably less out above 5khz than the other ones I compared them to; this leads to less of an urge to take them out and in frequently while mixing. They also have a large amount of taper on the part that fits into your ear, leading me to believe they will work in a wider variety of ear sizes. One of my ear canals is slightly larger than the other; these fit perfectly in both. Overall, a tight and realistic sound at concert volumes, great fit, easy to get in and out. Great ear protection for the money!

I work in a bar that has live music and these were suggested to me. I hate the cheap foam earplugs because you can't hear anything, and I need to hear my customers orders. These dampen the sound just enough to not cause ear damage yet still allow me to hear people speaking to me.

A truly innovative product. I go to a lot of concerts. I was irresponsible with my ears growing up, and I have a bit of tinnitus as a result. These allow me to go to as many shows as I want without having to deal with the next-day deafness or long term hearing loss. I am very impressed with their ability to transmit quality sound.

I feel that I have to write to you to express my satisfaction with my purchase of Eargasm earplugs. I have been experiencing tinnitus from not using earplugs since I took up riding again a few months ago. I have had motorcycles off and on since I was 12 years old and I am now significantly older now. After a bout of vertigo and tinnitus about a year ago, my ears are much more sensitive than they used to be. I knew that I needed to use earplugs but I use a Sena SMH10 sound system in my helmet and I was very concerned that with earplugs I would lose the ability to hear music clearly but I certainly wanted to protect my hearing. Well imagine my surprise when after the first ride with my Eargasm plugs I discovered that the helmet sound system sounded much better than with no plugs and no wind noise! I hope that anyone looking for earplugs for motorcycle riding reads this first. These are extremely comfortable and astoundingly effective. Great job guys! (or girls if that is the case) I could not be more pleased.

Solid quality, fast shipping, and great sound. The best way I've found to describe these is that they're mimicking your ears at the end of a concert from the beginning. At the start of a concert the sound is extremely loud, often uncomfortably loud. Over time throughout the concert your ears adjust a bit and by the end of the show everything is at a comfortable sound level. These take you directly to that perfect sound level right away. The concerts are still loud, but never overwhelmingly loud. Taking them out momentarily during a concert is startling.

They worked out amazing! Could hear everything at the show but also knew my ears were being protected.

I have been to a lot of concerts in my life. I wore these for the first time and they are LIFE CHANGING! You can actually hear what the artists are saying and singing, it's not just a muffled mess. You can still hear the crowd. Heck I can even hear when someone talks in my ear. You can still hear all the music and the bass. Best part is you can actually hear after a show. I would recommend though that you not take them out until AFTER you leave the venue. I took them out as soon as the show ended and I realized how insanely loud everything was. Biiig mistake. I would highly recommend these to absolutely everyone. They are worth every penny.

Ever since moving to an actual city where bands regularly play shows, I've been going to more and more concerts. However, I always had some trepidation about such events due to the sheer volume of most shows. I have sensitive hearing and sleep with generic earplugs which do a great job of blocking out sound--too much so for a concert. With generic plugs, sound becomes heavily muddled and incoherent ruining the experience of the concert. With high fidelity plugs the difference is night and day. Essentially these knock the decibel rating of the show down to a manageable level, without (hardly) touching the quality of the sound. Instruments are distinguishable, vocals are clear and drums punch through the mix. It's been a total revelation, making concert going an infinitely more enjoyable experience. I settled on these high fidelity earplugs after comparing them with several others. I doubt there is much difference in quality, but I like the feel of these earplugs. My only gripe is that the little plastic nub for pulling them out can be difficult to find, but they usually come out with minimal finger manipulation. Also, the plugs themselves have a tendency to stick to the inside of the plastic chamber they come with (which attaches nicely to a keychain for easy travel) and can be difficult to get out without fear of dropping them on a perhaps filthy venue floor. Overall, if you like going to shows high fidelity plugs are a must have to protect your ears without sacrificing sound quality.

These came in about a week ago - I picked up a pair for me and a pair for my 17 year old son. Upon ordering them I was immediately contacted by Ryan - letting me know they got my order and they would be shipping them out - and adding that if I have any problems to let him know - You see - they believe in old school customer service/satisfaction. Once they arrived, I was impressed with the case, and the fact that they came with two different buds to fit to your ears - I had to swap mine out for the second set for a better fit, my son did not. Again I was contacted by Ryan checking to make sure everything was OK with the order . . . Last night we had ultimate test of these little things - Metallica kicked off their 2017 World Wired Tour in Baltimore with Volbeat and Avenged Sevenfold as their opening acts . . . I am over 50, have tinnitus in both ears as well as hearing loss - so I was concerned about the noise levels . . . These passed the test with Flying Colors Test One: Getting a 17 year old to put these on and keep them on throughout a 6 hour show Results: Passed - He actually did take them out at the start of Nothing Else Matters - you know where it is nice and soft - He said he thought "This isn't so bad" Then they started rocking it and he was "Whoa better get these back in!" and put them back in - He said he could still hear everything and it was still an amazing show. Test two - Intermission conversations Results - Passed -I left them in during most of the intermissions between the acts - and was able to have normal conversations with my son and those around us Test three - The post show conversations Results - Passed - While a lot of the people around us were yelling to be heard over the ringing in their ears - he and I talked in normal tones - His ears weren't ringing - mine weren't ringing any more than they normally do . . . Test four - Comfort and Fit Results - Passed - They pretty much stayed on for 6 hours - I never felt them slip or feel like they going to fall out . . . and they were easy to pull out by just grabbing the tab. They also are very unobtrusive - I had to ask my son a couple of times if he still had his in because I couldn't see them . . . each time I asked he would turn his head and show me that they were still in . . . I still have one more test for them - that will come Memorial Day weekend - I will be riding over 2,000 miles on my motorcycle - which means a couple of 8 - 10 hour days in the saddle - I will see how they fit and feel, and how much wind noise they block while letting the music and conversations flow through my helmet speakers. If they pass this test, they will be permanently affixed to my bike's keychain . . . I was a little reluctant to spend $25 on a pair of ear plugs - But I am now Happy - VERY happy I did . . . *********** UPDATE June 2, 2017 ************* These are fantastic for motorcycle use!! I put just under 3,000 miles on my bike since getting these. They go in and stay in and are comfortable enough for all day use (I had to check on them from time to time to make sure they were still there). More importantly, after a long day of riding - I did multiple 350 - 535 mile days - I took these puppies out and could hear. They block out the wind noise that damages your hearing. I ride with a half helmet - My bike's communication and audio systems are routed to helmet speakers. In the parking lot, these do mute the music a bit, but on the highway - I can hear the music and communications better because they eliminate the competing wind noise that usually over powers the music. I found that my ride was far more relaxing and enjoyable with these and will use them and my helmet speakers all the time now, not just when riding two up or in groups. In the past when riding solo, I routed the music to the bike's 4 external speakers - yeah the neighborhood could hear me coming - now they will just hear me signing along off key as I ride . . . Another bonus - the case - I have had other ear plugs in plastic cases - when it goes in your pocket or sits on the bike - they get hot and bend or deform making them difficult to close and seal. This case is solid and keeps the ear plugs safe. It has found a permanent home on my motorcycle's key ring . . . Thank You Eargasm!

Excellent. I went to U2 in D.C. and left with ringing ears for 3 days. I bought these, and went to see U2 in San Diego and had a wonderful experience. I had to shove these babies in deep to get them to work (thus necessitating me using the smaller set). Excellent results and was still able to hear the music in the right key without suffering hearing loss or damage. Love them!
