• The arduino turbidity sensor detects water quality by measuring level of turbidity
  • It is compatible with Arduino via Gravity interface
  • It is able to detect suspended particles in water by measuring the light transmittance and scattering rate which changes with the amount of total suspended solids (TSS) in water
  • Turbidity sensors can be used in measurement of water quality in rivers and streams, wastewater and effluent measurements, sediment transport research and laboratory measurements
  • Please note that the top of probe is not waterproof. Product wiki >>> https://wiki.dfrobot.com/Turbidity_sensor_SKU__SEN0189 Note: $14.90 is the price of the one kit, not two.

This is basically the exact same part you'll see in the bottom of your dishwasher, but broken out for generic usage. Device works nice. No complaints, and there's documentation floating around on the internet about it.

I use loads of sensors and really enjoy building electronic gadgets. I have this connected to and ESP32, with 2 DS18b20 temp sensors, a PH sensor, 2 ultrasonic sensors, light sensors and this turbidity sensor. Purpose, to monitor my pond, and filtration system. There is nothing worse than the pump failing, water levels dropping or rising too high, UV failure - or bad PH levels. Linked up to a dashboard on Blynk i will know exactly whats going on even when I'm not home - once i get it all installed.
