Pros: - Battery-less pen - Small form - Programmable shortcut keys (on both tablet AND pen) - Little to no lag - Decent cord length - Pen stand with extra nibs - Crazy high pressure levels at a crazy low price Cons: - Cord could be longer (just personal preference) - Some programs don't work well with the pressure sensitivity Summary: When buying this I wasn't sure what to think. I never drew digitally outside of a few things on my phone back when touch screens were a new and exciting thing. With everyone screaming the blessings of Wacom tablets I looked away at the cheaper ones with that "Oh no one talks about them, they must be inferior and don't work." I learned back when I swapped my Galaxy S3 for the LG G3 that just because it a smaller company with cheaper products, doesn't mean it's worse. Fast forward to now and seeing many reviews comparing this to Wacom's offerings saying that it's close to, if not better, I decided to give it a try. Now my art skills have diminished from years of not drawing but this tablet works well. Using a free trail of Paint Tool Sai and the free program Krita I was able to draw, paint, doodle, and whatever else with the full range of pressure. Gimp however does not work with the pressure sensitivity. The only real complaint was learning the softway and drawing without hitting the buttons on the pen, time will of course make those issues go away. If you new to digital drawing or just on a budget, this is a great purchase.

Huion, I'm sorry I ever doubted you...

I honestly thought this would be too small when I first opened the box, but after about 10 minutes of use I realized this was an ignorant assumption born from years of Wacom tablets with thick plastic borders surrounding the much smaller box of actual usable drawing space. My Huion does away with the pretense of girth and just leaves me with a perfectly sized tablet that happily invites me to draw wherever I like on it, saying "Don't worry, kid. I'll capture your strokes even if the pen goes up to the edge. I've got you - just go ahead and draw how you like." Pressure sensitivity, handling, pen grip - I've stumbled into a new best friend that, like all miracle friendships, instantly gets me and is prepared to jump head first into all sorts of drawing adventures with me. I would say that this is a great tablet for the price, but that's frankly selling it short. It's just a flat out great tablet. Period.

The Huion performs amazing and was very easy to set up and there ...

I used a Wacom Bamboo Splash for about 5 years before i decided to get a new tablet. This tablet is slightly smaller, but the surface is smooth and the nib hardly shows any wear even after using it to draw for several hours. With the Splash tablet, the nibs would get run down fairly quickly. The Huion performs amazing and was very easy to set up and there are far more customizing options here than with the Wacom one (which was more expensive and didn't have any extra buttons other than the two on the pen). The cord is also nice and long so I don't have to sit so close to my computer. It's comfortable in my lap or on the desk. I don't recommend small tablets to artists with wrist problems but for anyone else, it's great for beginners or advanced artists. I have had no software problems either. The Huion works well with the SAI program I use to draw and doesn't randomly disconnect from my computer or program like the Wacom one did. Over all this is a great, affordable tablet and I am very happy with this purchase.

I LOVE IT

This thing is awesome! I'm using it on a MacBook Pro, and let me first say this: If you type in the website to download the driver, it will say that there's no website available. If you simply just google s search it, it will pop up. Download was instantaneous - seriously, like a minute. Button and pen button shortcuts are so easy to create. I'm going to say this, though. This is my first graphic tablet. I have used my uncle's wacom which is more than $300 more but does the same thing. I'm new to graphic design and the illustrator world, but I got the hang of this tablet so fast. This is only the first full day I've had the thing, and I know I've seen people say that it stopped working after the first week. I will have to see for myself and come back to update. I drew my first ever illustrator piece with this tablet. My little buddy peppy.

My Huion Inspiroy H640P Graphics Drawing Tablet vs my One by Wacom Bamboo Splash

Since purchasing my Huion Inspiroy H640P and One by Wacom Bamboo Splash have been using them to learn how to use a graphics tablet for digital art, and editing while also seeing what direction I want to go for a upgrade in the future. At first glance the H640 tablet feels heavier, and more rigid compared to the One. The drawing surface is smoother on the H640P feeling more like writing paper as compared to the construction paper feel of the One. This does have it's ups and downs though as yes you will wear out less nibs, but it also means that when making quick strokes there's less resistance on the pen nib and you go further than what you intend. Neither Tablet has an eraser on the pen which isn't terrible because most programs you have a hot key to enable/disable the last eraser used, but it is a little hard to get used to habitually when you're so used to just flipping your pencil over and erasing. The H640P's 6 buttons on the tablet I use for my main 3 brushes, eraser, and to size up or size down.The buttons feel fine and compared to the One's lack of buttons anywhere but on the pen this is a plus for a few extra quick shortcuts. Both pens are battery free, light weight, and come with extra nibs. The H640P also comes with a stand for the pen, and to store the nibs the One does not. Both tablets perform very well with Photoshop or Krita, and I try to switch between the two often to see which does better for what I am doing. At the sensitivity level I have them both set at there is a clear distinction between the two's pen pressure with the H640P having far more, but not as easy to keep at a constant with a light sensitivity setting like I prefer. The H640P is newer and thus still has driver updates whereas the One is several years old at this point, and may not have support much longer with newer OS's.Overall both tablets are very nice for the low price especially for beginners who may not stick with digital art and art ready to invest a ton of money in a graphics tablet, but the Huion Inspiroy H640P obviously has more features with near identical performance at roughly the same price. Going forward I don't know which brand I will choose to proceed with, but I can say for someone else starting out I would go with the newer H640P just for security in having driver support longer, more features, and a well built/programmed product.

BETTER THAN WACOM? .............................perhaps.

I ABSOLUTELY HECKN LOVE THIS TABLET, THIS COMPANY! OH MY GOD THE TABLETS ARE AFFORDABLE AND AMAZING. I HAd a Wacom Bamboo Touch for the past 6 years; my first tablet ever. Once I got the h640p I noticed an immediate difference, the pen to the tablet was very smooth. When I drew, the lines were not blurry when I zoomed in the canvas unlike the blurry lines the Wacom produced. The pen has a grip and fits very nicely into my hand. Also, with my other tablet for some odd reason sometimes I felt like I couldn't get the correct angle to draw. Like, the pen and tablet felt awkward, but with this tablet I can draw extremely comfortably. I had no problems setting up the tablet, and it was extremely easy to program it, but it may differ between computers and drawing programs. I included a comparison picture!

Okay, I will start off by stating that I am not a professional graphic artist so don't expect an especially artistic bent to this review. I am an avid photographer and have worked in the creative arts my entire career. I love digital photography and the ability to manipulate photos after the fact. The ability to control light and shadows, exposure, midtones, saturation, etc. and being able to control tiny areas of the photograph are all things that I manipulate in the digital darkroom. In order to really work well with masks and feathering to control the effects it really helps to have a tablet and pen. For years I have been using a Wacom Bamboo tablet and pen. They were great for entry level work and for experimenting to see if a tablet was really going to be the tool of choice for me. Well, recently, I built a new PC and the software that I use for photography was upgraded. The response of the Wacom tablet and pen had become unpredictable and disappointing. Wacom no longer had new drivers for the Bamboo tablet line that worked well with Windows 10, so I went on Amazon to see what the latest crop of tablets was like. I didn't want to spend a ton of money since I don't make my living doing this. After reviewing several of the tablets there were just a few criteria that were important to me: The size of the tablet, the number of customizable buttons and their layout, and a pen that didn't require a battery or recharging. I was intrigued by some tablets that were wireless and would allow me to avoid worrying about cords dangling around the keyboard. But after considering how I use my pen and tablet, I realized that I didn't need a wireless version. I had used a Huion tablet before and had been relatively pleased with how it works (it is still at my desk at work where I use it on occasion). But this H640P looked particularly intriguing and the price was certainly appealing. I hooked it up for the first time today and I can tell that Huion has made great leaps forward in the design and function of their tablets. This one is FANTASTIC for what I need it to do. It is SMOOTH and responsive. I have customized the tablet buttons and layout a few times and think I have it roughly where I want it. Using the pen as a digital brush has become a true joy. Having used Wacoms on Macs at work I can tell you that the response and ease of use on my PC with this new tablet feels just as good. I am so impressed with the ease of use I am looking for additional photos to play with! The size of the tablet is great and I can shift it on and off of my lap easily. I keep it right near my keyboard and mouse (yes, there are some things I like to do that require a mouse) for easy access. The tablet is very lightweight yet solid. The nib of the pen glides on this surface. The pressure sensitivity of the pen is fully adjustable in the driver software and I couldn't be happier with how that function works. It has more than 8000 levels of pressure sensitivity allowing me to manipulate the size of the brush on the fly. If I want to expand my brush I just press a bit harder and watch the cursor expand and contract as I press harder or softer. And price is $50.00!!! This thing is a STEAL at this price. If you are on the fence and you have the money to spend (and with Amazon's return efficiency should you decide this tablet isn't right for you) you should DEFINITELY LOOK HARD at this model. I am very pleased with my choice and look forward to a long relationship with my new Huion Inspiroy tablet.

Total beginner, totally in LOVE

I love this tablet! I've been doing digital design and art from my laptop for quite some time, but I recently wanted to start getting into animation. I've always been terrible at drawing, but its even worse with just a mouse or trackpad. I won't say this made my drawing better ever night, but it certainly did boost the confidence I had in my art to finish something and be proud of it. I've always felt intimidated by the idea of animating or purchasing a tablet like this because of the top-shelf price that comes along with searching for similar products. It was always "Either pay hundreds of dollars or have the lowest quality and hope it works". Im confident that I'm learning on a tablet that will be more than adequate as I progress in my learning. The setup of this tablet was so simple (it can be a little wonky, but if you restart the computer it should be fine), the packaging was sleek and uniform, and the construction of the tablet and pen is amazing. I love that I don't have to worry about batteries or charging with this pen (major bonus!). I really can't think of a bad thing to say about this. Its amazingly light and portable (when I'm taking it to or from school it fits in my accordion folder wrapped in bubble wrap, housed with all of my other sketches). I seriously couldn't recommend this enough to someone starting out, especially at the price.

Great Drawing Table for Beginners!

This is a great graphics tablet for beginners! I am hobbyist artist and I mostly do my art on traditional mediums and I decided to transition to a digital medium because the resources cost less than traditional. With that in mind, I needed a digital tablet. The most popular tablets were the Wacom Tablets, but they are pretty pricey and they don't have a lot of shortcut buttons. I did my research and I found this tablet and I'm really happy with my purchase. The Huion Inspiroy is light, small, and portable. It's smooth to draw on, but it also has a bit of tooth to it, so that it's not too slippery like drawing on glass with plastic. The installation for the drivers was quick and easy. You just download it from the website and install on it on your computer. When you open up the program for the tablet, you can see that you have a lot customization options for it. You can assign the shortcuts you want for the shortcut buttons on the tablet and the pen. You can also adjust the pressure sensitivity for the pen. The only cons for the tablet is that it does not support touch, so you can't use your fingers to drag the cursor or use gestures and the calibration and shortcut buttons stop working if you leave the tablet plugged in when power off and on the computer. To fix that problem you just simply unplug and plug in the tablet. Beginners will love this tablet and maybe some professionals too for just sketching out ideas.
