Use for my painful neck

I know fishing people will laugh at this, but I use this for massaging my painful neck and it works great since the design is perfect for holding and rubbing on my neck. I highly recommend anyone with arthritis for a holistic relief. I have many strong magnetic balls, but tend to drop them when I was rolling them. It is well known in acupuncture community that magnets relieve your pain. I haven't had the time to truly test this for the claim of 330lbs. I do know that it is powerful enough to cut your finger off if you carelessly handle it. You could make it a little safer by grinding the sharp edges down to a rounded profile. This will remove the plating and make it vulnerable to rust. So if you do this then consider putting a layer of Plastidip or Krylon paint. Look up Neodymium magnets to know the maximum temperature these can handle before becoming permanently demagnetized. You definitely would not want to powder coat these. If you are a magnet fisherman, this should be able to lift in excess of 330lbs. When you consider the displacement of the volume of water that the object you pull up is occupying. If it is really big, don't pull it out of the water until you get to shore.

Strong magnet and great for the price

I have been using this product for magnet fishing. It has held up well and I thought I was going to loose about 50ft of Paracord and my magnet because I hooked on to a outlow pipe and I couldn't break it loose with all my strength. I had to get another person to help me pull it off and lucky for me the Paracord held. And I got to keep my magnet and Paracord. Just make sure you put some locktight on the threads

Super Magnets

I searched many places for a super magnet strong enough to hold the doors to my refrigerator and freezer tightly closed. Both appliances were functional, but heavy usage weakened the door seals until neither were ever completely closed/sealed. Proven time-saver for fishing wires & tubing through insulated walls

Worked like a charm, in combination with a magnetic bullet, to pull 8-gage, 12 gage and 16 gage HVAC wires up a tighly-insulated wall. Used a string on the other side of the stud to feed the flexible R410A copper tubing. The magnet allowed me to steer the wires exactly to the two cut-outs on each wall segment, which were foam-capped. Zero drywall work, zero painting; a huge time-saver!

Very powerful, not a toy.

Very powerful! Dont laugh too hard, but I got this to magnetize my drinking water as an experiment. Removing the ring, it is wide enough to function as a resting place for the cup in which you have filled with filtered water. Dont know if it is effective as "magnetizing" the water but I am still unable to leap tall buildings. I will update you on my 100th birthday.

Used for magnet fishing and very pleased

I included pics with this review... We made a super magnet for lakes and ponds and here's how we did it: used a palomar knot to tie on 70 feet of 3/8" diamond braid rope with a working load of 244 pounds, then put silicone sealant over the bottom of magnet to protect it from scratches and knicks in the event it smacks against rocks, and to ensure we didn't accidentally drop the other end of rope in the water, we used a sturdy carabiner and a palomar knot, then clipped it to our belt buckle - that way it's always attached to you. Magnet works! And not once did it come off the rope, nor did the bottom get scraped up. TIP! we made a carrying/storage case (see pictures) with PVC pipe parts and welding epoxy, then cut out a slot for the rope - affordable, quick, and makes the magnet easy to travel.

STRONGEST MAGNET I HAVE EVER OWNED.

I USE THESE SMALL BUT STRONG MAGNETS ALL THE TIME. NOW THAT I HAVE SOMETHING THIS POWERFUL, AM FINDING MORE USES FOR THEM ALL THE TIME. AM A CMM PROGRAMMER BY TRADE, AND THESE ARE THE BOMB FOR HOLDING THINGS WHERE I WANT THEM TO STAY. ONLY THING I HAVE AGAINST THEM, IS THEY ARE A LITTLE FRAGILE. BE ADVISED, DO NOT LET THESE SNAP HARD AGAINST A LARGE METAL SURFACE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT, THEY DO CRACK. NOT SELLERS FAULT, JUST THE NATURE OF THE BEAST. GAVE IT 5 STARS FOR EASY TO REMOVE, BUT BEWARE, THIS MAGNET IS SO STRONG THAT I AM AFRAID IF YOU GOT IT DOWN INSIDE A POCKET WHERE YOU COULD NOT SLIDE IT OFF THE METAL YOU WOULD NEED A TRACTOR TO PULL IT OFF. VERY VERY POWERFUL MAGNET!!!!

This damn thing was exactly what I was hoping it would be when it comes to the pulling force it has. It can definitely be dangerous though if your not careful, so I highly recommend NEVER allowing a child, or person under the age of like 14, to handle one of these whether supervised or not, but they are very legit, and work real well for "Metal Fishing" which I like to do when going real fishing just to see what kinda different stuff we can find lol.

great, powerful magnet!

I like to search through black sand to find gold. I insert the magnet into a plastic cup and all the black sand which is magnetic will stick to the plastic cup with the magnet inside the cup , pull the magnet from the cup and all the black sand falls leaving hopefully the gold . Then I then I try to find the gold by using a gold pan. It does work , If you are luckly looking in the right places. I have found some gold , but it is small amount. But it is fun, and good exercise.
