The light's lens is made of plastic. This is my only, small, very small bitch. However, given the price point this is a very small complaint. If I had not installed the light I would not know. I liked the TWO lights that we purchased so much that I ordered two more.

We recently remodeled our Guest Bath and we were in need of a new ceiling light to complete the project. The original fixture was a 20+ year old builder's model which was less than 10 inches making any replacement light in this size difficult to find. So, this Cloud Bay light has been the perfect replacement fixture in size, dimmable light source and brushed finish. Thank you.

Got the Cool White version for the kitchen and it brightens up the place perfectly. I don't think the color would do great for something like a relaxation space - it seems like it would feel harsh for that purpose. I will note that the plastic parts do feel rather cheap, but nothing came damaged and for the price, it looks fine. If anyone is going to scrutinize my ceiling light close up enough to remark the cheap plastic cover, then they'll be in my way in the kitchen and need better things to do.

If I were writing this review for Consumer Reports I’d rate this product as a “Best Buy”. That is, a good combination of price and performance. The ceiling light cover is made of a thin, rathy flimsy plastic, but when mounted to the ceiling with the trim ring, it looks like a more expensive fixture. The light output is about 1200 lumens (equivalent to a 120 Watt bulb). If this is too bright for the location you plan to install the fixture, you can use a dimmer switch. The only caution I’d give before buying, is to check the “color temperature” of the fixture you plan to buy. Warm White (3000 K) lights have a yellow tint, similar to an incandescent bulb. Cool White (4000 K) lights have a blue tint, similar to a flourescent bulb.

I was skeptical that this LED light would be bright enough for use in a small bathroom but it surprised me. The light is more than enough to apply make up, shave, etc.. The bulb itself is not replaceable but is supposed to last for many years. The light looks contemporary and is a flush mount, which saves head space in lower ceilings. I really like how this looks and love that it provides bright light, a necessity for safety with children and seniors in the house.

Great light fixture that very easy to hook up. Ordered three so far for different areas and connected them to 3-way switch dimmers with zero issue at all. They are low profile and super bright. I did prefer the warmer color choice, the daylight and medium ones are extra bright but then again it’s a light so it’s really personal preference. LED, ZERO LIGHT BULBS EVER! Get it!

I live in a rental apartment building and the hall lights were too bright and not dimmable. I had them replaced with these and they're great. I was a little worried about what the quality of the LED light would be, since the whole point of my exercise was to have something natural and warm in this hall. These did not disappoint. Very natural light that gives off the right nighttime glow for this space that I was looking for (I ordered the "warm white" version). While they are very plastic-y to the touch, once installed they look great. Hard to beat at this price.

I bought this to put in our recently renovated bathroom to go above the toilet and shower area. I ordered the wrong color at first because I did not realize how big of a difference it would be. I ordered Daylight and should have gotten 3000K Bright White to match the rest of our house. The 3000K is a color temperature in between Soft White & Daylight and I love it. Not too cool or too warm. We’ve had LED fixtures before and I’m a strong believer that is the only way to go. No more changing bulbs. Love it.

I bought 4 of these - one for a hallway, two for our kitchen and one for a small bathroom. I got the 4000 brightness and it's very bright! I can't imagine how much brighter the 5K would be. We updated a bunch of lights in our house from the dome style ones to these and I'm happy with the change. It gives everything a more modern look. These really brighten up our kitchen without making everything look garish. I had these installed professionally so I can't say what the installation ease is.

While renovating my house, I used these to replace some very tired and ugly light fixtures in my hallway. What a difference! I can actually see things now! I was initially worried they would be too bright for the narrow, L-shaped hall, but it turns out that they give off just the right amount of light. I've installed a lot of light fixtures and these were some of the easiest to put up. Can't beat them for the price!
