The plants grew within a few days!! Very cute idea to teach you child how to care for a plant that has low maintenance. It was also fun to design the terrarium!! Includes plenty of extra seeds to replant if you lose any.

This was a great activity for my 3 year old! The spray bottle that comes with it is perfect for little hands, making it very easy for him to water the plants. The seeds started to grow after just one day. The decorations and stickers that came with it are adorable and my son loved them. Definitely recommend this to any age child! Worth every penny.

Bought this for my 9 year old Granddaughter. She was able to do it all by herself and loves checking on it each day. There was growth by day 3 so you don't have to wait too long.

Easy, very well made and rechargeable LED light! Great gift for boys and girls.

I bought two of these for my grandsons, an almost 8 yr old and brothers aged 6.5 and 5. It is very easy and well constructed. They all needed my help to assemble the soil and use the spray bottle to moisten the rocks and soil but were delighted to place the figurines, put the stickers on and turn the light on. They have placed the terrarium in a sunny window and will keep me posted regarding the sprouting of the seeds. It comes with a small computer cord to charge the LED light which is in the lid....it is an awesome little project that the kids all understood and they loved looking in at the figures with the light on. When done sprouting the jar and lid (where the light and switch are) can easily be used for another growing project or adding figurines, etc. Very clear and easy instructions! It was a hit for the boys, just this weekend we had an early Christmas.

Special needs students interacting with the terrarium for our classroom garden theme.

We loved it! We are a special needs school in Warren, Michigan. Our special needs students took turns with adaptive switches, devices, pictographs, etc to communicate and request and respond. The tactile items were great for our VI students. Looking forward to watching it grow within our classroom with our “little explorers.”

A gift other than electronics for those growing minds

This was a present for my great grandson and he loves it. He had received a sunflower seed packet and it never grew so he wanted to grow something. This was very easy to put together and he saw immediate results. If you're looking for a project that doesn't involve TV or video games this is a great one.

Great Quality and Exceptional Experience

My daughter and I love the Light-Up Terrarium Kit by Mini Explorer! The contents of the box were all clearly labeled. The Setup Guide was very well done with step by step instructions, including photos for each step. There were more than enough materials included and they were all good quality and exactly as pictured. Our seeds started to sprout after just a few days and my daughter looks forward to watering her plants every day when we get home. It has provided a fun forum for us to educate her on the importance of plant life and the importance of taking care of things. She also likes to use the included sprayer bottle to water Mommy and Daddy. :) She is much younger than the recommended age for the product, but with our help and supervision she has really done well and enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a fun, educational project that's also pretty, to do with their child.
