Outstanding product for shade!

Can't say enough good things about this product. It really provides shade and is well made. I have had a couple of different brands of these and this one is superior. Can't beat the price and it holds up in 115 degree temps and monsoon rain storms. I would buy this over and over.

Loving it!

Instead of the typical awnings over a patio with the wood slats, my husband decided to try one of these tarps which he tied to posts that he concreted into planters he got at Home Depot. We haven’t finish furnishing the patio yet but we are so happy and excited with how it’s all turned out and it was a huge savings as opposed to lumber!!!! This review is for the smaller one on the left but we purchased the larger one on the right from the same seller.

Really helps beat the heat!

Good quality material. I definitely suggest not using the nylon rope supplied. After some trial and error using cable ties, I decided to just go with light duty chain and turnbuckles on all four corners. It is highly suggested that you use a ratchet tie down to tighten all four corners and getting the sail as taught as possible, then going back and tightening down on the turnbuckles, taking turns on opposite corners and adjusting until there are no sags. If there is any wiggle room in the sail, it will buck and pitch wildly. I mounted two aluminum fence poles to the I beam of my metal fence but you could also set them in concrete. Took some effort to get all the slack out, but the difference it made to the outdoor area was well worth it!

Perfect for adding shade over the pool

Great for addi g shade over the pool. It covers enough to get under the shade when needed. I ordered the 16 x 12 and the mounting kit. Additionally needed a rope . and 30 minutes later shade. Sweet.

not a complete sun block

this is excellent for what i wanted. looks better than an umbrella and covers more area. The patio in question gets pretty blasted by sun and since its sunken, between 3 walls, retains the heat. so this shade, through not opaque, provides a nice compromise at a very fair price. if i have to replace it every couple years, i'm still far ahead of the game vs. a custom option. now that the mounting points are in, replacing it is a 10 min job. the blue tint provides a soothing color under which to sit as well.

12x12 is from corner D-ring to corner D-ring. I use it as a top to my PVC Tent which is aprx 10x10 and it fits decently. It is not waterproof but if its drizzling chances are you wont get wet, if its a down pour you will get wet.

Affordable Product!

The canopy is exactly what I need for the summer time. With the harsh sun rays beating down on you and all the humidity in the air this is perfect. The canopy's size is great and big enough to cover a small pool and half of the deck. It provides excellent shade so the hot sun is on you all day.

Great shade.

We used this as shade at the lake in the middle of the summer. It was great! It was a good 10 degrees cooler under it. It held up great in the sudden thunderstorm we had too. We put the west side down 2ft shorter than the east side and it made a massive amount of shade from noon on. Will be buying another one for my yard.

Good!

This turned out better than expected. Seems pretty durable. Hooks and grommets seem strong. It blocks a lot of sunlight which I love! Put it on top of our pergola. I ordered a diff size for the other half of our patio.
