After reading several conflicting reviews about the length of the tone, I was nervous it wouldn't ring for long. I had a helper and we used a stopwatch while I struck the fork and held it very close to my ear and indicated when I could no longer hear the tone. As far as my hearing goes, the sound became undetectable after 32 seconds. That's a good long tone! People reviewing saying it doesn't ring for long are either striking it too close to the base or may have partial hearing loss. Per the advice of another reviewer, I used it for my small dog and, after getting used to me hovering the fork around his body, he totally blissed out. He was closing his eyes and swaying. I've recently become interested in sound healing and also purchased a full chakra tuning fork set and a 528hz pipe chime but this fork will travel with me everywhere always. This tuning fork met several requirements for me: I wanted it to include a striker and a closing pouch so I can keep it in my purse for zen on the go.

Accurate and inexpensive. Good value!

I purchased this tuning fork to check the accuracy of my electric guitar tuner. I was pleased to find that the electronic tuner measured the tuning fork at exactly 400Hz. ( I think it's much more likely that they are both right, than both wrong by the same increment.) Some people have mentioned that it's not very loud but can hear it by holding up to their ear. I prefer to place the round end against the bridge of my guitar and let the guitar amplify the sound. It's not only quite audible, but the electronic tuner, attached to the headstock, picks up the vibrations just fine.

Works GREAT for my guitar!

This tuning fork is in the key of A standard. It gives the A string of your guitar or bass a PERFECT pitch everytime. Very accurate. If you are thinking about using this tuning fork for your guitar or bass here is how you use it. Very easy : Pluck the A string of your guitar, then tap the tuning fork against your knee and put the bottom part of the tuning fork close to the bridge of your guitar just above the A string. You'll hear it resonate. Then simply tune your A string to that pitch. Then tune all of your other strings off of the A string. Plenty of YouTube videos on this. You can also tap against your knee and put the tuning fork against your ear and listen. This tool is old school , but one of the best ways to tune !!

Crystal tuning fork works well!

Nice petite size and pouch to carry along anywhere. Clear ting. But does t actually work to clear crystals? I test my crystals by holding a clear quartz pendulum over them in their energy field. When it spins counter-clockwise, it needs to be cleared. I tested crystals before and after—crystals that spun the wrong way would spin clockwise after using the tuning fork! If you check out my uploaded video you can see how it works, or go ahead and try this experiment yourself! It is effective on quartz, moldavite, tormalines, fluorites, nuummite—basically every crystal I tried it on. Not to mention that it’s quicker and easier than salt baths, saging, brown ricing, etc. And the price cannot be beat. I have since ordered one for each of my family members.
