Happy to see a more substantial buckle

I have 2 of these bands, one came with the watch when I bought it from someone used. I was very nervous about the prospects of losing the watch due to the TINY piece of metal holding the clasp in. It is just a friction fit post and is a fraction of the diameter of the Garmin branded bands. I don't understand why Garmin is making the price point so high with their bands since they are not anything fancy, just a silicone band. I just cant justify $50 for it. I had been looking for some replacements but they all seem to have the lightweight clasp design which I am not a fan of. I noticed they have changed the clasp post on this band to a Garmin copy, screw together style, that is much larger, but its currently only available with the black band. I assume the intention is to offer the other colors with that style clasp in the future so I will probably buy more, especially with the reasonable price point.

Nice replacement band for Garmin 935

It took me a while to figure out how simple this is to get on! The two hex screwdrivers were a plus - although it was difficult for me to get the original band off (weird design, Garmin) - once the OEM band was off and the post was back in place I doubt I'll ever try to unscrew that again. The latch on these bands wasn't "easy" for me (probably just me) but it sure is a lot easier than unscrewing that post. After the neon green I bought the multi pack (red, white, blue, orange) and plan on swapping them out as the mood sees fit! Nice little splurge!

these things are awesome. I ordered 3 different colors

Wow, I have to say that I am very impressed.. I waited for a while to see what others have said from the reviews, I decided to take the chance. I really thought that these straps would be cheap and not very durable. I was wrong, these things are awesome. I ordered 3 different colors, I have 3 others that I paid $49 which are the original Garmin straps. All I can say is that Garmin is in trouble once everyone finds out about the quality of these straps for less than half the price. I will definitely get other colors and will not buy Garmin straps for the $49 dollars, complete rip off . I only got the others because these from Amazon were not out yet. These are a bit softer and much more comfortable than the original. The Easy Fit is just like the Garmin as far as fit and ease of use. The size is perfect for the Fenix 5 When I put them next to the original Garmin straps, even I can't tell the difference. I highly recommend these to anyone who is looking to give the Fenix 5 a different look. I have been asked so many times if I have a new watch on, These straps really make it easy to change for whatever the mood or whatever the occasion is. I got them in two day's after ordering, thank you..

Slightly more green than the OEM strap.

I have several Ancool straps for my Fenix 5 and love them. They do feel a little softer than the OEM straps. I was hoping the OEM amp strap would have a little more green in it, but it is definitely more yellow compared to this strap having a little more lime in it. Here's a comparison of the two - Ancool on the left and OEM on the right. And as an aside, the Amazon picture makes the strap look like it's textured with an inverted pattery to the regular OEM strap (which is partially why I bought it - I thought it would have a different look) but it's exactly the same pattern.

As good or even better than the official Garmin Fenix 5 band

I got this band to replace the stock band that I got with my Fenix 5 which had started to get cracks in the band in the notches that I commonly used after a few months. I got this band about 8 months ago, and its lasted until one of the notches (I basically always use the same one or two notches) failed. I contacted Ancool via amazon and they sent me a replacement band out the next day, saying their watch bands are warrantied for 12 months. I am giving this product 5 stars just because it seems at least as good if not better quality than the OEM Garmin band its essentially a clone, and it is much cheaper. I think its about as durable as you could make a band with a material like this, and they replaced it after 8 months of wearing it every day for daily use, sleep, swimming, cycling, gym, etc. Honestly i wish Garmin stood behind their products like that. In the photo note the old band damage, but otherwise is in perfect condition. You probably can only tell with them side by side, but the old one has faded ever so slightly in color, just a bit duller of an orange vs the new one.

Feels great, looks great, and functions well!

The stock Forerunner 935 band has a retaining band with a nub in it, which invariably locks into the strap. This makes (for me, at least) for excessive effort to remove the watch from my wrist. Enter the ANCOOL silicone replacement strap. Not only is there no nub in the (two) retaining bands, the strap feels GREAT against my skin, compared to the feel of the stock strap. Further, I have a little more play in where to cinch the buckle vs. the stock strap, which allows for comfortable tightness choices. Bonus feature has to be the Easy-Fit support (using the stock strap mounting rods). In addition to the black, I bought a yellow/green band to complement my running motif; swapping bands is a breeze.

AnCOOL what a nice 3rd party Fenix 5 band

Pleasantly surprised with this Ancool Fenix 5 band. I got this band for a run event coming up and I wanted to rep my team colors. It is very close to the original Garmin Quickfit band at a fraction of the price ($15.99). It has similar markings and mold as original, even the black clasp looks similar. I was tempted to purchase this item on a popular auction site but after reading the negative reviews of the sellers and extremely long ship times, I decided to order here. I ordered this on a Saturday and received it on a Monday! Worth the extra I paid. Material has a soft velvety feel to it BUT the flexibility is the same as the original. It snaps on securely and doesn't feel it will come off or come loose. Upon close inspection here are some differences to note: The two loop fasteners aren't beveled like original but rounded but it does include that nub on the outer one. The clasp on original has a torx screw while the Ancool does not, its smooth no screws The screws on the Quickfit system on original look to be torx and the Ancool version is philips The textured surface on the Ancool feels more pronounced but looks-wise they're near the same I recommend this item if you're looking for something pretty darn close to the original. I plan on buying a few more colors. Only time will tell how it holds up. I'll update review accordingly.

Better than OEM for Forerunner 935!

Great strap for the Forerunner 935. Soft silicone that feels appropriately durable for a sports watch. Very easy to attach and remove with more than adequate build quality. The black metal hardware feels solid and is more appealing than OEM. For 1/4 if the price of Garmin branded straps, I will not hesitate buying more of these in various colors.

So highly recommend this, as opposed to the $49 Garmin strap

Being so new I bought with no amazon reviews. For anyone else looking, this was almost indistinguishable from the Garmin black and neon green that came with the watch. I would not notice if someone swapped it out with the original Garmin ones. So highly recommend this, as opposed to the $49 Garmin strap, they are pretty much exactly the same! I hope someone makes some nice leather and metal ones for a lower price then Garmin in the near future.

Fantastic!

These watch bands are fantastic! The band material is a little softer than the stock watch band which makes it feel nicer on your wrist. Band is of quality materials, locking mechanism for removing bands is the same exact as the OEM. Colors are actually true to the pictures unlike replacement OEM band! Highly recommend. Price is right where it should be! To the guy who gave a 1 star review because he tried putting this band on his Fenix 3, the Fenix 5 and 3 are not the same size in the least. It was your mistake and your mistake alone. The 5X and 3 are the same size.
