I modded my Nintendo Classic and added this adapter, I am now in retro gaming heaven. I bought a PS4 adapter a while back and this works a treat. Very happy with this adapter. I did not feel that at a higher price point I was getting much of a value, so I purchased this product. I have had no issues with lag/latency, connections, reliability or accuracy. This lil thing checks all the boxes and does it as well as any other brand. I did not buy any "special" edition, this is the standard version of the adapter, and it is working perfectly well for me. Very happy with it.

It seems not to work and may even fail to connect on its first try. All I can say is, read the instructions and try again. It takes forever, but once it connects, your controller connects immediately from that day forth. I use a ps4 controller and it’s flawless. Great product- needs another light or two to let you know what’s going on during initial setup.

I searched on if anyone else used this for a mini but did not find any answers on it so Ill share my experience. I bought this so i could use a controller to play. As for the 8bitdo controller, once I plugged it into my SNES classic I just had to press the button on the reciever, and the start button on my 8bitdo controller. Instantly connected and started working. What more can I say, if you want to get this for the SNES/NES Classic Mini, this is what you need! Have not tried to connect other controllers though. Ok : After using this for a few hours I have one gripe with it One downside of this product is the sync button is SO SMALL. when you plug it into your SNES Classic it kind of wiggles around and feels loose. When you try to press this TINY sync button, I feel almost as if I am going to break the reciever or the port itself. I also fumbled around trying to update the firmware on my PC since the button was so small I was trying to hold onto it while inserting it into the USB port, it was quite painful to do. I think they should make this button slightly bigger. The Long design of the unit also makes it feel flimsy when plugged into the SNES Classic and feel not very sturdy. If they ever revise this or even read our reviews, I think maybe they want to design it to be shorter so it doesnt feel like the port will break from us just pressing the sync button. But I would assume most people just sync once and forget about it so they wont touch the receiver often. For me I had the issue since I was trying to use the controllers both for my PC and the SNES classic

The dongle works as intended when used with my SNES Classic paired with the SN30 pro remote. One MAJOR call-out would be you MUST UPDATE FIRMWARE before it will work with the SN30 Pro remote. I almost turned into the Hulk trying to pair this thing until visiting the support site and reading the FW update notes and what it fixed.

I had a hard time finding out if this would work connecting a Switch Pro Controller to a Wii U so here's some info from tests I've done. It works. Put the receiver into a wiimote and sync the receiver to Switch Pro Controller and it controls perfectly. It works with Wii U games as well as VC/eShop games. A few notes... The Home button wont work on the Pro Controller, and if you press the Home button on the Gamepad, the controls from the Switch Controller will spazz out. All you have to do is, leave the menu that popped up from hitting the Home button (go back into the game), uplug the receiver and plug it back in. You don't even have to re-sync it, the controller will still be tethered the the receiver. For VC/eshop games, this method doesn't always fix the 'hitting the Home button on the Gamepad' quirk. In this case, you unplug the receiver, restart the game (from the menu when you hit the ZR button on the Gamepad), and plug the receiver back in. Anyway, this fulfilled what I was hopping it would do. Hope this helps some of you guys.

Works great on all fronts in regards to it's intended purpose. Something I was wondering when I ordered this was if it worked as a classic controller for the Wii/Wiiu. The answer is pretty much a no for now. I was able to get some functionality, but when you go between applications, such as from the menu into a game, the cursor begins moving on it's own and other random button commands are stuck in. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the dongle but not with much success. They will have to do some testing and a software update if this is going to be a thing in the future. Not a problem for me though, for now I will just use it on my SNES classic.

This little device works like a charm. I already had an 8Bitdo controller (the SN30 I believe it is, the one that looks like an SNES controller) and I plugged this into my SNES Mini, paired it right away and was off playing Super Metroid right away. Works flawlessly from 15ft away without any noticable lag, and draws power straight from the SNES mini. It comes with a microUSB power cable, but I've never needed to use it. Kudos for including it though, just in case.

Extremely happy with this purchase. Serious gamer here. I've been using this 8bitdo wireless receiver paired with a Wiimote + SNES Classic controller for a few months now. I've been extremely pleased with it so far. Setting up is as easy as clicking a red button on the receiver, and the 'sync' button on the back of my Wiimore. It's great playing wirelessly. For me, performance is paramount. I've seen no detectable lag when playing on an LED TV in 'game mode.' This device is very easy to set up. I tried pairing with a PS4 controller, but the button mapping was a little weird so I need to update the firm ware.

Fantastic product. Nowadays we get spoiled by wireless controllers with every system. This brings the wireless convenience to the classic consoles back. I'm using it with the snes classic controller hooked into a wiimote for wireless functionality and it works flawlessly. One thing of note. To get the wiimote to turn on after initial pairing press the 1 and 2 buttons the wiimote and it'll turn on. Happy gaming👍

One of the biggest problems with the SNES classic (and NES classic but I don't have one) is the short controller cables. It is highly impractical to play and sit so close to the TV. This receiver solves that problem and allows you to use a large number of controllers with the system. I have now dedicated an unused PS3 controller as my primary SNES controller and it works perfectly. When the receiver was first released the buttons weren't mapped correctly on the PS3 controller so I would not have recommended this at that time. Since then they've put out a new update for the receiver and it's perfect. If you buy this item, make sure to update its firmware before using it. As an added bonus, this receiver allows you to go back to the SNES menu by pressing down + select on the controller. You can't do that with the pack-in SNES controllers and must actually get up to press the reset button on the system. At the end of the day, the SNES controllers as they're included with the classic console are not practical. That leaves you with two options: buying controller extension cables or buying a wireless receiver like this one. I actually have both and both are good options. I like to use the wireless receiver because it lets me toggle back to the SNES menu without leaving the couch.
