Its cheap...and well...kinda cheaply made also, but it will be all you need for a long time as you're getting into the hobby. Going to fatshark is a good upgrade that allows removable modules like the HD3...but, it will cost you $400 and then you need to buy your modules...after you've got your modules and a battery...whatever else you will need you're getting close to $500-$600. Personally I like how turn-key the EV800D is for now and I will upgrade to a fatshark eventually but so far I've been very happy while getting into the hobby.

Working awesome so far. Battery light turns red quickly but it hasn’t shut off on me yet for some lengthy sessions. Glad there is the option for external batt. as well.

Excellent goggles. They dont lag when you use the DVR like the knockoffs made by "ls" and "makerfire". Even with my crappy drones weak signal, these are able to pick it up just fine without lag. These actually have 2 recievers (true diversity). The recievers are really good ones too. They are both r5808 recievers instead of the crappy recievers you get on other goggles in this price range. A pair of nice fatsharks might give you 20% better range, but they also cost 3 times as much as these. These goggles are all about bang for your buck. They serve that purpose very well. The only minor issue seems to be the battery indicator. It thinks the battery is much lower than it really is. If it says its low after only 10- 15 minutes just ignore it. It actually lasts about 60-90 minutes which is plenty for me.

Relatively light, considering screen, battery, and all the other electronics are 4 inches out in front of your face. Not HD, but I knew this going in, does deliver a good picture, with great brightness, and contrast. Will not work with glasses. Using them with Caddx Turbo Micro F1 camera, Flysight TX5804 VTX, and flying on a Carbon Cub S+

These fpv diversity goggles with dvr are great. I mean unless your on the racing circuit or just have money to spend go with these. I own many and these are my favorite every day goggles. Dvr is great quality and I could even slide the frame of my reading glasses into the frame of the goggles. A little foam was needed in my situation on the nose area but that's an easy fix for me. All in all still to this day the best over all box goggles available.

These are awesome for the money. If yours keep turning off after you turn them on with decent battery life, then check the sd card. took out the 64gb for a 32gb card and it stopped shutting off randomly. Also the 3x magnifier in the googles part make me sick. But since you can take it off and mount to a tripod this is not an issue!

So far very happy with this product.Everything works as advertised.Been using as a monitor attached to controller with makeshift sunscreen.I wear glasses and haven't taken time to modify the goggles yet..I still have the protective film over the screen so it looks very glossy and very reflective out in the sun,so I can't see it very well.Don't know if removing the film will help,,will try later..But on the porch with a dark background,,Bingo !! I can see the screen just fine and can easily fly FPV..I'm also close to a outlet so I can keep the 800D plugged in.DVR works fine and reception is great,,for the money what more could you want ?

I dinged it because the video out doesn't work. This is the 2nd one I've tried, same results. I've tried different laptops, tv's and cable, same result; color lines then turns blue. I have a cheaper set of goggles with lower resolution and the setup works great. Other than that, I like the FOV, clarity, changing of the channels separately. The weight is fine and you can hook up an external battery if the internal doesn't last long for you. I'm also able to take the sides off of my glasses and fit the glasses in, that works great. I'm not sure if that was the design intent or not. I would recommend. If anyone has any ideas on how to get the video to work, let me know.

Works perfect with my EMAX TINYHAWK and my FORCE1 220. Press and hold "start recording" just amazing!! Easy to copy and upload to YouTube. Facing the drone really helps with direction antenna, but coming around behind you, Omni kicks in, never lost signal! They work great together. Scan, find any FPV signal FAST!!! Great Price!! Comes with bag. NICE rubber feel, lite weight, A++ highly recommend, JF

Great Picture, Diversity Receiver with DVR! Great Value! Only negative is the goggle battery indicator is not accurate, it gives a lower voltage than what the battery actually is. Plenty of ways to fix that at home so, I say BUY IT!
