IF THEY WORK.
THE CASE IS WELL PUT TOGETHER ALL THE PIECES LOCKED DOWN. I ONLY HAD A SMALL JOB TO DO AND IT WORKED GREAT. SHORTLY I'LL HAVE LITTLE BIGGER JOB TO DO FROM SCRATCH, DRILL AND TAP. I EXPECT THIS SET TO MEET ALL MY NEEDS FOR NOW AND INTO THE FUTURE. HOPEFULLY I WILL PASS THIS ON TO MY GRANDSON AS HE IS WEARING OUT HIS DAD'S. THANK YOU.

Great Tap and Die Set
Good quality and variety of taps and dies. Already used it to clean up threads that had been stripped. A worthwhile investment. Highly recommended.

Excellent Toolset for the masses.
After using a couple dies, to rethread, found the quality of the tools great, and itβs seems a totally complete set. The case is well made and organized. Only question I have is for the die handle, as to the purpose of the rotating part. Tried to figure out its advantages, but not useful for my current project. Huh, what is it? No instructions or guide with set. The foam pad in the case prevents pieces from falling out of place. I double-face taped that to the cover to keep it in place, prevent the foam from damage. Would have been nice if already attached. Otherwise, for the competitive price, and the completeness of the set. Give it 5 stars.

It will do the job
I bought this for an occasional fix, a just in case I need it, so far I have used the 5/16 threader and it does the job, I am happy with the purchase, but as I look around my work table there are some items that I have put off for some time that need to be re-threaded, glad I got it when I did, the pricing is very reasonable and the quality is not bad at all. ππ

Fixed my screw up and saved money and time.
On a recent project a bolt got crossthreaded and had me dead in the water. Not having a kit like this I bought it as I liked the number of items and positive reviews. I believe I made the right choice. It was easy to use and fixed my screw up easily and had my project done in no time. It cut the thread easily and really worked well. When you open it you will find a clear plastic sheet and a sheet of foam. At first I was going to throw them out but I found that once they were removed the small parts inside could move around and fall out of place. I found leaving the foam in alone kept everything in place so I kept it. I would recommend doing the same.

Nice inexpensive Alloy Set
I don't think you will find a better set for the same price. This is one of the best values on Amazon. I could not even get a set of cheap carbon steel tap and dies for the same price of these alloy ones. My set was complete and all taps and dies were very sharp. The only negative thing I could find with the set is the stamping on the dies looks like a bunch of kids tried to stamp them individual punches. Some numbers were scrunched together while others were stamped so lightly it is not as easy to read as others. Outside of that I have only tried a couple of taps and they worked flawlessly. I will update this review if I have any issues down the road with this set. But as of now, I am pretty impressed with it. Update: 4/22/18 : After using this several times the dies and taps seem to still be sharp and cut nicely. However, the tap holder and die holder fell apart right away. Luckily I have several other Irwin holders that I was able to replace with this set. But it is still a great deal for the money.

Great set, worth it!
This tap and die set is awesome! I bought it because my Dwealt set didn't come with a smaller tap that I needed. This was the same price as a four piece Dwealt set but comes with way more. Worth the price as I have tapped about 10 holes in 5160 and 304 stainless with no problems. I would buy this again no question.

Exactly what I needed! Great Quality!
After searching every hardware and automotive store in my area, my husband couldn't find the set that he needed to finish putting in the new transmission to his truck. I got on here, found this kit and it was here the very next day. Delivery was super fast, the kit is great quality! My husband was thrilled and his truck is running great!

Phenomenal Tap & Die set
This is one of the best values on Amazon. Made of High Speed steel and excellent quality - very sharp. Don't purchase a cheap carbon steel tap and die set. Also don't pay attention to the negative ratings who claim they broke a tap because it was cheaply made. More than likely they didn't use cutting oil, didn't turn the tap backwards to break away the cut metal chips, or they didn't use the proper drill to bore the initial hole size. All taps and dies and high quality materials (HSS) and excellent workmanship.
