Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges, Smartphone Powered Augmented Reality Experience This thing is amazing...from the moment we took it out of the box, everyone was beside themselves with excitement. After getting it set up (which was extremely easy) we jumped right in and started down our path to becoming a Jedi. The headset fit very well over everyone's head, and worked extremely well over my glasses, which most AR/VR/FPV headsets don't. It also worked the same with everyone's phone...my wife's motoz, worked as well my pixl2 and my daughters iPhone. The lightsaber is cosplay ready, as my daughter took it with her dressed as Rey to see the Last Jedi! The holochess game is much better than I expected, as is the strategy game...but ultimately we all went back to what was the most fun, and that was swinging the lightsaber around at bad guys! It was also a hit at our party, with adults lined up to take a "stab" at it. I highly recommend this product..and buying it direct from Lenovo was the best way to go as it was packed and shipped professionally. I cant recommend this thing enough, and I guess my only criticism is that you cant choose your own path to become a Sith....caus that would be cool!

Bought this as a self Bday present when the price went down to $99 and man was it ever money well spent. As a life long Star Wars fan I can imagine there being a better Star Wars based game this. Its not VR is Augmented Reality which really just means in layman's terms everything looks life size set over the room your are in its not like VR where you just are looking at the screen blocked off from everything else. You want to battle Kylo Ren in the snow on starkiller base ? Turn it on outside in the snow this winter and have at it you see your surroundings wherever you are when you are playing. now me personally I turn out the lights in the house makes it seem so much more intense but I can only imagine playing this out side vs Kylo in the snow or VS Darth Maul in a forest. The holo chess game is surprising fun as can really have to learn the game from scratch and its not simple either :-) the ground battles can be tricky but fun as well. But yes everyone gets this for the light saber battles right ? its worth the $99 for just the light saber battles anyway everything else is just a bonus. PS ... there will be an update later this year where you can fight as a Sith and take on Jedi's OHHHHHHH I cant wait :-) so if your on the fence BUY IT will be the best $99 you spent on Star Wars ever hands down :-) oh and ladies ..... There's Porgs in this thing too PET PORGS ;-)

It really is difficult to describe the quality of the AR other than to say that you really feel like it's real. It was super easy to setup even though some reviews suggested otherwise. You just have to follow the instructions. Me and my husband were instantly hooked to the game and I must say it was a really nice work out as well. The Lightsaber battles and Strategic combat on the planet Crait was awesome, I heard that was a new addition, so if you haven't updated your app, I would suggest you do so. It was a big hit at a party we had at home. So it's a great product to purchase for entertaining and just seeing people get excited and swinging away. I must say my girl friends were more animated and more into the game then the guys. Finally - for $200 this is a really high quality AR device and a fun must have.

My child loves this. I actually had to set it up and I enjoyed it so much that she eventually asked if it was for me or was it REALLY HER PRESENT😜. The set up is very easy. Granted I did follow the instructions stop by step. I had no problem with getting it ready for the 9 year old. We will most likely purchase another one since she is the only child living with us and then the grandparents (US) Can use the excuse we want to play with her. It is a fun game and it involves a little physical activity. I prefer her to play those instead of the ones that leave her in the couch staring at the screen. Very well done. Easy transaction

I got this product as a gift for my brother who is a HUGE SW fan. I had read a lot of the tech press on this when deciding what to buy, and everyone said this is the must have SW gift so I figured I'd give it a try. He LOVED it! The first big thing you have to check is that you need a compatible phone. There are not a lot of phones that aren't compatible, but his daughter has an iPod so we checked. Guess this is for Dad only! You get to play three different modes, and there are 3 levels of difficulty on your way to becoming a Jedi Master. I was surprised how much content he really got for this, and your saber even changes color when you beat a certain number of levels. The Holochess game they play in the movies was really cool, Strategic Combat you actually play on the on the ground with all the characters fighting each other, and of course you get to use a lightsaber to fight Darth Vader!!! I am not nearly as big of a fan as my brother, but this thing is cool. I got a workout wielding my saber all around the living room! The app wasn't buggy and didn't crash, which I was also very surprised. The phone did get hot (I have a iPhone) but we played for an hour so that's expected. Great game, great price, highly recommend!

My boys are huge Star Wars fans thanks to their Dad, who I can say got his own Jedi Challenges because he was using the boys' so much! I like it as a mom because it is pretty reasonably priced. I looked at a lot of techie stuff this Christmas. The boys are always wanting something new and fun. When searching, I took them to Best Buy to try Oculus - which had so many overwhelming pieces and set up needs and would have probably required a brand new computer too. Jedi Challenges is phone based which means download a free app – insert the phone into the headset and you are good to go. Since we have two at home my husband wishes they could use that to battle each other (but you can't do that yet). I am hoping someone from Disney and Lenovo is reading this and will make it happen.

Bought for my daughter. This is sooo cool! She has a Samsung phone and it works well but be prepared for a bit of a setup drill before you start your Jedi training. Once setup is done and phone installed it was totally amazing. I tried if for a few minutes once I could pry it away from my kids and it's serious fun. The phone needs a good battery as it heats up and taxes phone but that's a plus to keep them from spending way too much time in VR sessions which is easy to do - I could get hooked on this thing. Headset and light saber are well made and provide a good solid fit. You need a space about seven feet square for room to move and it's best in reduced lighting. I'm going to have to get a second unit now...

If you are considering this product, then I'm sure you are wondering if it's worth the cost. In my opinion the answer is a resounding yes, as Lenovo Star Wars meets and exceeds all of my expectations. I'm a Star Wars fan and a gaming fan, with numerous consoles, PC games and mobile device games in my collection, so I have some perspective. I don't see how any Star Wars fan could resist the opportunity to wield a lightsaber and this system does not disappoint! But it also has more than lightsaber battles alone to keep you entertained; it also includes strategy games such as Dejarik (or Holochess) among many other challenges. The packaging is befitting of high end electronics and can be reused for storage when the game is not in use, though the lightsaber is worthy of keeping out for display. The components are all well made and feel very solid and built to last. Setup was easy for me as the app walks you through the entire process. The app works smoothly on my device and quality of the visuals and audio is very good, though it does drain your battery, so plan accordingly. This is my first experience with the immersive AR style of game, though I have some experience with several full VR games. I discovered quickly that AR doesn't make me feel the "motion sickness" that many people get with full VR so I was able to play as long as I liked with no ill effects physically. Overall I think this is worth the plunge for both Star Wars fans and gamers alike. I hope Lenovo will add additional games to this same platform.

This is actually an Augmented reality game and not virtual reality and that’s what makes it cool. Its better and cheaper than any Augmented (or Virtual) reality headset I’ve experienced. And I have literally tested them all – from low cost kickstarter products to the really expensive like Microsoft’s HoloLens [$3,000] and the original Google Glass [$1,300]. Its also nothing like Pokemon Go or Snapchat's suite of filters. I believe Disney and Lucas Films have hit the nail on the head. If you love Star Wars, then you’re probably already sold, but there’s so much more to this for 200 bucks. They found a way to make you feel like you’re welding an actual lightsaber. You battle storm troopers and duel Darth Maul and Vader -- a childhood dream come true! Disney updated the game a few days back which ties into the latest movie release (The Last Jedi) and I’ve read on multiple Star Wars forums that a big update is expected around May the 4th (get it? May the 4th be with you :)). I have seen myself and my son choose this over my xbox on many weekends. All in all – I’d say buy it

This is the coolest augmented reality game. It took me a little getting used to, but the feeling of holding a real lightsaber is so fun. My 5 year old seems to be learning pretty fast as well. The force is strong with this one. I would highly recommend this product - it's a great gift for a Star Wars fan. The light saber even vibrates and has real feedback when you are battling. Super cool. It's probably best to do this in a dark room for the most optimal experience. Stay away from any other lights or windows. As a suggestion, I wish there was a mode to just dual and fight big characters right away as opposed to having to play "the game" to get achievements to the next level. I just want to fight Vader like, as soon as I turn this thing on.
