Perfect.
Too many complainers. Wah, wah, wah! This is NOT intended to replace a guitar. IT IS a tool to develop muscle memory for chords. IT IS a tool to develop calluses. Tighten the strings to increase tension and develop finger strength.

GREAT SOUND, PERFECT STARTER MIC > if your upgrading to passive power mics!!! (Which you should!)
ORDERED = 09/05/2016 || SELLER = Ohuhu Direct || PAID = $21.99 (Beware of Seller changes! That's when you may get burned!) :: PROS :: 1.) Well made metal construction, no rattles. 2.) Feels solid, gold is a bit over the top, but whatever, it's presented well in this product. 3.) Not a Yeti & not $200 - with a passive power this sounds rich & full vocal range. 4.) Adapter fits PC mic, I use a passive power with this into my PC .. no issues as it should be! 5.) Shockmount actually seems to work...very little vibration issues if any. :: CONS :: 1.) It does eat the passive power up quite a bit. (Feels power hungry, probably condenser mic sensitivity issues.) 2.) Shock-mount is a lot of plastic, but it has not failed even when hit with a hard elbow (Hit now it several times accidentally, still works fine.) 3.) Would like a carry case, even a drawstring pouch would of been nice addition. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, they are a phenominal deal. the YETI equivalent is hundreds more, so what do you have to loose? :: NOTE :: Make sure to buy the following items ( I use them on a daily basis for YouTube Videos...) Ohuhu 1- Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply with Adapter, BONUS XLR Extension Cable Ohuhu Microphone Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand Dragonpad USA Pop filter Studio Microphone Mic Wind Screen Pop Filter That will complete a good value recording system for proper Voice Recording. You can buy other makers or spend more, but this setup is fine for me and now has been involved with dozens of YouTube narrations. If it fails me I will return to update this rating to show that immediately!

a great practice tool
Other reviewers have their own purposes for their purchase. As for me, it was to practice chords long forgotten and decrease the time between the repositioning of chords. Tuning the strings is of the least importance as I have a guitar for that purpose. This device helps me practice in the car while I wait for the return of my wife's darting into stores.

Great for redeveloping those callouses .
This thing is awesome. I use it on my drives to the VA hospitals for my appointments which are about an hour and a half away. I kind of wish they gave you an option for a bigger fretboard for people with bigger hands, but other than that, it's great.

All Beginner Students Should Have This Tool
Wish I would have given these to my students on the first day of guitar class. Students are able to concentrate on the motion and the pattern of a strum and not the sound. It can be taken places a guitar can not. I purchased this tool for a student that could not keep in tempo. He was ready to give up. He could not play a strum pattern at all. In just one class using this tool he was able to keep in tempo, and could easily play strum patterns. His left foot and the strum was finally in the same rhythm. This tool is also useful in teaching fingerstyle patterns. From now on, all my students will start with the Pocket Guitar.

Amazing Budget Mic. Great Sound! Updated
Update! I have used this microphone for a year now and I can confidently say this is one of the greatest microphones for the price I have ever used! This mic has gotten a little beat up over the past year and it still works perfectly fine! This microphone is amazing for the price, I have used it for vocals, voice acting, skype, recording instruments, and sampling. The quality is crisp and clean. It works best with a mixer but that isn't required as they send you a usb audio device to plug it into. I use this weekly, and I could not be more pleased with it for the price.

This is one of the nice ones
Exactly what I needed for quiet practice and much-needed finger strengthening flexing exercise

Excellent for this price!!
Sound quality you cannot get better at this price level, I found a problem, maybe is only my mic, it had the sound phase inverted, this is a problem if you want to use it another different mic on the same recording, if you only have this mic the inverted phase is not a problem at all. Solving the issue is easy, just open the mic and exchange the red and the black cable in the middle. Other thing on this mic is that if you talk or sing directly as shown in the picture, will be bad quality recording, the membrane is in the side of the mic, you have to put the mic vertically and sing or talk to the side where you can read the brand and model.

Does it's job just fine
Does it's job well enough, is sturdy and comes with a nice carrying case and replacement strings. I takes a little while to get used to the overall size and placement of the strings (it's not even close to the "dimensions "of a real guitar), but once you get used to it, it's just fine. Remember this product is JUST for finger placement. It does NOT produce sound. You have grooves to strum if you need that stimulae to help with your switching chords timing too, so that's pretty nifty. The high e string is super, super, super thin, but it's not that big of a deal.

Happy to own...
This is a great little chord practice tool. I expected the strings to be dental floss but I was pleasantly surprised. The strings were initially a bit loose but that was easily remedied with the hex tool provided. Replacement strings and a chord chart are included as well. This is perfect for my upcoming cross-country flight. I didn't put it down for the first 30 minutes after I opened the box!
