This has been so useful for drying lettuce. I've also dried some small vegetables. Be sure not to overload it or some stuff can get stuck in the lid and make spinning it harder. It's very easy to take apart and clean if you need to, and the bowl is a great size. It basically fits exactly 1 head of living butter lettuce I get from Safeway.

Its nice, it does its work very well

I've had a salad spinner for a while and bought it at a 'big box' store and have been happy with it but it finally broke. The Gourmia unit is about 30% smaller than the one I had but it definitely is built to a higher degree, making the trade off worth it. It will do a whole head of romaine but is quite full and if your doing a party you will have to plan ahead of time to have this done. I would recommend this product it looks like it's built to last.

Wow, this salad spinner came the very next day. Was supposed to take 2, but nope she was at the door the next day!! Unboxed her and tried her out and wow, easy to use, easily spins without any labor intensive arm wrestling and doesn't take up any more space in my cabinet than a medium sized pan. I like the non-toxic plastic feature and the grey color is attractive rather than a bright color that would annoy me. I wouldn't call her jumbo as the labeling implies, but for the two of us it is perfect.

Love it. I do have to put have a paper towel in to cut down on spin time, but it works.

Only used it one time but that one time but that one time was good.

I'm 27, I have lived on my own since I was 19, and only this year did I finally "invest" in a salad spinner. I feel like a true grownup now... that's such a weird thing, but for real- I'm not spending ages blotting my salads dry after washing them. It spins, it dries things, it's entertaining for your boyfriend to put marbles and other random things in it... Nothin too fancy, but it works like a charm and was definitely affordable.

My wife was always telling me we didn't need a salad spinner. She was wrong!!! The salads we made for dinner were fine, but the lettuce didn't store well because it tended to be a little wet. I got this so I could prepare salads for the whole week. I just go to Sams/Costco and buy a bunch of romaine. Prepping with this makes it so much easier and the lettuce lasts the whole week. She was wrong!!!

I bought this as a replacement to a flimsy IKEA salad spinner. This one is so much better and more sturdy - really do love it and see what I was missing. There is a thick plastic outer bowl with a mesh "spinner" inside. The lid gets fastened to the outer bowl very easily and the hand crank is super easy to turn. The hole in the top of the lid makes it easy to drain water as your greens get spun dry -- so they are crisp for your salad or cooking. The color is ok - the gray is a little drab but the green plastic trim perks it up.

So far this salad spinner is a gem. It's fun to spin and the lettuce comes out dry. It's all that I ask of it. But then it's also easy to clean. The locking mechanism is secure. The added bonus is that we will save money and resources by not using paper towels that don't come close to drying lettuce as well. Two thumbs up!
