As transformers go this is a good choice.

This is a good choice for RIGHT age group (8 and up), if child has a mechanically astute parent to assist initially. Well build as transformers go. Still requires a touch of delicacy but more durable than many.

Be the BEST Grandmother ever!

Haven't given this to my little grandson YET but it looks really good compared to his other Optimus Prime guys-bigger and more sturdy. My son was a uber transformer enthusiast-could transform the toys before we even read the directions and I think his little guy is the same. Will update when he opens it and plays with it!!!

Great Toy!

I bought this for my 5 year old. We bought a different one last year and it was waaaaaay too complicated. None of us could follow the instructions to transform Prime. This one transforms in only a few steps and the instructions are easy to follow. My little one loves it and I love that it doesn't make the adults feel stupid for not being able to figure it out :)

Durable

Pretty durable toy. My 5 year old plays with it. Difficult for his age, but he can get it transformed with assistance.

What 3.5 year old wouldn't like Optimus Prime? One small caveat...it is quite hard to go from Optimus Prime to truck. My husband and I both had difficulties.
