Like 3 months

we give a year of netflix to our sister in law every year for Christmas. I just wish they'd do what Hulu does and sell the gift cards in monthly increments, not dollar increments. Like 3 months, 6 months 12 months. The dollar amount just never works out right the way they're doing it, and I'm sure that's the point, but it's annoying to a consumer.

Worth the money.

Well worth the money if you like to sample shows, but don't expect to find everything on Netflix. From a two page list of movies I wanted to watch this winter I only found three that I hadn't already seen available on Netflix. From a five page list of TV series that I wanted to sample this winter two pages were left after I got done scratching out the series that aren't available on Netflix.

Am I reviewing Netflix..?

Not sure if there is much to say about this one. It's a gift card.. and it works perfect for the service it's advertised for. In case anyone is curious as to how it works, I purchased as a Christmas gift for someone. They were able to sign up for a free 30 day trial of Netflix, and then apply this card to the next few months of Netflix flawlessly.

Worked for me... although I did have to wait a few minutes before the added card balance was reflected in my account's credit balance.

I ordered a few of these and they work great. When I apply them to my Netflix account it takes about 5 minutes for my new gift card balance to show up, but that is not really an issue. Overall, these make an excellent gift or if you prefer to use Netflix without a credit card then this is an option for you!

Great Way to Introduce Someone to Netflix

I'm trying to help my 72 year old mom save some money since she's on a fixed income but still thinks money grows on trees. She is not tech savvy and hates change, especially when it comes to anything that involves a computer, TV, cell phone, etc. (she still owns and uses a VHS player). I purchased her a Roku and decided to get her this Netflix gift card so she could see if this was something she could possibly use to cut down her cable costs without making any long-term commitment. I helped her set everything up (okay, I set everything up), showed her how simple it was to use, the HUGE variety of shows Netflix offers AND no commercials. Well, this might be the best purchase I've ever made for her. She loves it and is obsessed with Netflix! It frees up some additional time for me because she's 'too busy watching her shows' to need me to come over and help with her 87 projects. Win win! Using the card was easy - no problems and new subscribers still get their first month free! She's already had me add her debit card so when the gift card runs out, she'll still have all of 'her shows'.

I have found that the streaming works very well, I do have high speed internet. The Netflix streaming option is great for TV shows as well as movies. Often Netflix will have something Amazon does not, or vise versa. DVD plans currently offered range from $4.99 up to $11.99. Although, there used to be more expensive plans that allowed for more than 2 DVDs out at a time. With a DVD plan, you are allowed to have 1 or 2 DVDs out at a time. They arrive in your mailbox in a prepaid return envelope, so when you are done you just pop them back in your mailbox. As soon as Netflix receives the return, they will ship out the next DVD in your Netflix DVD queue. DVD Plan pricing: $4.99: 1 disc at a time, 2 per month. $7.99: 1 disc at a time, unlimited per month. $11.99: 2 discs at a time, unlimited per month. It is wonderful not having to go anywhere to rent or return the movies. As a reminder, you do not have to sign any contracts with Netflix, it is month by month fee. You can cancel your account at any time and if you decide to activate it again in the future, Netflix will load your old DVD queue back in. However, once you load a gift card into your balance, you can not cancel until the remaining balance of your gift card is depleted.
