Works Winter or Summer

I put in a garden bed over the summer 8' x 20'. I was collecting my tools and noticed my knife was not with my other tools. I was upset, but was not going to dig everything up to find it. I was sick about it. Finally you have an 'ah-ha' moment. So I looked up metal detectors, and this one had the best over-all ratings and price was right. The size is great. It was easy to put the battery in and read how it worked, Took it out,(mind you this is Feb, in Illinois, and started to run the pinpointer over the garden bed, 2 mins later it went off. Had a little problem digging in the frozen ground. I now have my trusty knife back. Thanks RICOMAX! It works! In warmer weather, I'll look for some of my other tools. Christine D. I live in California and I took this with me to a job site in Oregon thought it was going to take me forever to find what I needed with this tool I expected to be on a job all week I found the problem with this tool within an hour I was on the job site not even a full day.

A great tool when you're treasure hunting!

I got this for my wife and June and she uses it every time she's out treasure hunting! It comes with a great little belt holster and she pretends like it's her secret weapon! She uses a larger metal detector to identify the general area of the search and them gets on her knees and uses the pinpointer for her final search. This is a must have if you're into treasure hunting and want a reliable device to make your adventure more productive!

I love this pinpointer. Its comfortable to hold and its loud as well. Only thing is i feel it doesnt search deep enough but thats ok!

A great deal

This is a sleek, easy to use pinpointer that carries very easy in the field. It does a great job pinpointing targets and is a great tool to supplicate my metal detector. I really like the audible , visible , and vibrating alarms that will get your attention under all conditions. Thanks Ricomax for helping me out because of my bad knees. Once a target is found i do not have to stand back up to use the metal detector to locate the target which i do with the pinpointer .

Ricomax Pinpointer Metal Detector

I am very pleased with the Ricomax Pinpointer. It is a very durable unit and is everything the seller says it is. I used it the very first day I received it , along with my full-sized detector and found this child's easy-bake oven (type) cookie cutter in 4 inches of soil in my back yard. What a time saver; from having to sift through a pile of dirt and sod. (For you metal detecting buffs) this item is more than likely 40 to 50 years old.

CAN'T BEAT IT FOR THE PRICE!!!

After I bought a Garrett Ace 250, I started looking for pinpointers. Most were almost as much as a beginner-level, full size metal detector. So, finding this one was a lifesaver. For $50 you get a pinpointer that could easily stand up against giants like Garrett and Bounty Hunter. Not only is the price great, the quality is also outstanding. With just one 9-Volt battery, you get a flashlight, a notification sound, and vibration to help find objects on the edge of a hole. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE GUYS!

Excellent Pinpointer for the price!

I would like to say it exceeded my expectation for my first PinPointer. The quality of material is good doesn't feel cheap, sturdy. Accuracy of finding items has been great, it has helped me find coins, rings, and random metals. The green LED lights turn on when close to an item and vibrates - I find this very useful when item is deep gives you indication if you're getting close to it. There is also small light that is close to probe that comes in handy when metal detecting late in the day. Its really simple to use, single button.

Very Reliable and Dependable Pin Point Metal Detector

We are putting a fence in so I needed something to help me find buried rebar property line markers. I had found them twice before with a neighbor's help who had a regular metal detector, but I didn't want to bother him a third time to help me find them yet again. I knew about where they were, so I didn't need a regular, expensive metal detector and found this on on Amazon.com. I thought it would be worth a try. I went out today and found the first one very quickly and was able to document where it was for future reference. I also found the rear marker which I had trouble finding the last time I looked. With the pin point metal detector, I found it in less than 2 minutes and it was not where I thought it would be. I am very pleased with this product and how easy and well it worked. Really amazing. This isn't for general detecting, but when you have found a proximity location, this detector will tell you right where the item that you are looking for is.

I couldn't be happier

I have been involved with metal detecting for almost 40 years. during that time I have probably purchased 6 or more pin-pointers and none have had the ease of use or the performance of this one. I am able to detect a dime at about 1 3/4" ar a quarter at about 2". The only thing I am unsure of at this time is the durability...time will tell on that point. It does appear to be well made and hopefully will give long service Update: I have run into a bit of a problem, the first time I had it out was with a Tesoro detector and it worked perfectly. Today I took it out with my Whites and I believe the detector interfered with the pin pointer to the point that I have to turn the Detector off to have the pin pointer work properly. I am guessing that the pin pointer has a very similar frequency to the whites which is 6.595 khz
