Carving Tools

Product was as described. Arrived prior to anticipated arrival date. The holding case for the tools is much better than the plastic ones offered at or about the same price. This is for my granddaughter, age 9, so storage is important. I would recommend this to any beginning carver.

Impressive Tools

These wood carving tools are very impressive. I am using them to carve linoleum prints. They work great and the handles are comfortable to hold. I can't wait to finish my first project. I will update my review when it is a finished product and I can upload a picture. The quality is very good and they come with a very nice case to protect the different blades. I highly recommend this wood carving set.

Good for rubber and linoleum letterbox stamps

Way back in the day, I did a lot of woodblocks in art school. And I would have to agree with the 4 star review that they are good for beginners and probably won't hold up if pushed too hard. That said, for my needs which is for carving rubber and linoleum for letterbox stamps, the tools are perfect. I handled quite a few knifes, and I like the wood handles; they are very light. At the top of the inside of the case is a elastic strap that I can put in a sharpening stone. When I get presentable stamp done with the tools, I wll post.

Decent set

Good little carving set, would be nice to see another v and u notch in the set. I picked these up to help with a project I'm currently working on which is making faux solid wood beams which I need to distress and these tools help to achieve that look. These in combination with an angle grinder work well to create the look I need. I also carve pumpkins each year as you see in pic. This set with an exacto knife is all I really need.. the tools are short which I like and they are light and likely pine, a hardwood handle would have been better but for the price fine. Best used for Pumpkins, Clay and soft wood like pine.

Sturdy variety of carving tools

Very happy with this set of tools. They come in a nice black case that has a holder for each tool on the inside and can be folded in half and zipped up all the way around. The case also has a strap for carrying that can be pulled out or tucked inside the zipper if not needed. The tools are sturdy and sharp. The set has blades of several different angles and sizes. Great variety!

Versatile with carrying case

I don’t know much about wood carving but this product works for me. The compact carrying case makes it easy to keep them organized. There are many different blades for various types of carvings and seems sturdy enough that it can last a long time. Make sure to clean after each use to avoid rusting

Handy set of tools

I bought these tools to use for various projects from building RC aircraft and models to detailing pinewood derby cars. They are a nice little set, easy to work with. The handles are comfortable to hold and I like that they are solid and I can give them a little tap with a hammer if I need to. The blades are sharp and cut with ease for the soft wood, foam, rubber, clay and plastic that I work with. Nice selection of tips for cutting various ways. Having a storage case is wonderful, so all the tools aren’t getting lost in my tool box.

Outstanding Customer service

I wrote a bad review for these, and was then contacted by customer support offering me a full refund or replacement for free. I opted for the replacement because the seller really stood behind his product, so I figured that it must have been a faulty batch. I received the replacement tools and am happy to report that they work just fine. Just as they should. They hold an edge and are easy to use. I would recommend these tools if for nothing else, because of the excellent customer service.

Great Gift for the Beginner!

Great Gift! My daughter has recently shown interest in wood carving. She carves just about every stick she can find, so I decided it was time to give her an upgrade from the pocket knife. I like that these are durable and easy to use, not to mention they have a carrying case so she can bring them just about anywhere. It was a great buy!

More than a starter kit

I was hoping to pick up a "starter" kit for a family friend and this is more than a starter kit but not overwhelming. Add a 101 carvers guide and you have an amazing stocking stuffer
