My wife asked me to buy new small and large frying pans. I looked on Amazon and found that the TeChef 8" and 11" frying pans seemed to get good reviews so I added them to my Amazon shopping cart. I also noticed this TeChef 11" wok / stir fry pan which looked really neat. We stir-fry quite often so I decided to buy this as well, even though I wasn't originally looking for a stir-fry pan. I also bought the 11" glass lid. I can say that this is an absolutely excellent pan. It works very well on our induction cooktop, something I was concerned about, as I've purchased pans before that I thought were induction-compatible but it turned out that actually they weren't. Well this for sure works well on induction. The depth is good for stir frys and curry and the like. I cooked a curry in it last night which was the first time I've used it and it worked very nicely. The whole thing looks very high quality, the internal patterning looks good and the exterior color is attractive. As I mentioned I also bought the TeChef 11" glass lid. The lid is really nice, the glass is sort of smoked and there's a vent for steam which comes out through the middle of the lid under the handle. I've not seen that before. Now I expected that the lid would work with both the 11" wok / stir fry and also the 11" TeChef frying pan. Eleven inches is eleven inches, right? Wrong! The lid fits perfectly on this wok / stir fry but does not fit the 11" TeChef frying pan properly. You can sort of balance it on there, but it never seals properly nor feels completely secure on the 11" frying pan. Clearly the lid is only intended for the 11" wok / stir fry. I'm OK with that but sort of expected it to fit both. I can't recommend this pan highly enough. What you're getting is an absolutely top quality product at a mid-level price. No it's not the cheapest around, but the price is extremely reasonable for what you're getting. I think you'd have to pay a lot more, maybe several times more to get anything better. I would recommend buying the 11" glass lid for it as well, it really completes the set. I haven't actually used the 8" and 11" frying pans yet but they look just as high quality and I have proven that they work on induction. Recommended.

So, the pan was amazing, right out of the box. It has a nice heavy bottom...very flat and a bit thick even. No rivets to clean around on the inside either...I like that. I gave it a quick cleaning, dried it off and onto the glass top stove it went. I went easy at first and was amazed. No oil, generous amount of heat and I dropped an egg onto the hot dry surface and yes...no stick! None, whatsoever! The little egg slid around easily and eagerly. I was impressed, indeed. As time went on, I used more heat, was more severe in my cooking techniques. Daring the pan to stick something to it. It would not. I was impressed. 6 months (nearly daily use) of this abuse and it never failed...til...it did. I started noticing that it wasn't letting go of food like it once did...I was not happy. I started looking online for others with the pan...some consolation that I was not alone. In the end, I wound up at the TeChef homepage...easy to navigate and found information on proper use of the pan. I was the problem it turned out. I had been using way, way too much heat...heating the pan on HIGH, cooking on HIGH, daring food to stick. I had compromised the surface with my cavalier cooking. I contacted TeChef and they will replace under warranty. It won't be for free as I will have to pay shipping back and include $10 for service and return of the new pan. I have no problem with that. Small price to pay to get my beloved nonstick back. Had I not been so aggressive with heating the pan and cooking on HIGH, I believe the it would still be amazing me. My Bad, not TeChef's. It's a Five Star Pan all around. Once upon a time, I could have been selling these door to door...Love this pan.

This pan is heavy enough to feel substantial when using it, without being so heavy that it strains my relatively weak old wrists. I have only used it once but the stir-fried food came out fine and nothing stuck to the pan. I had been using a slightly larger traditional frying pan for my stir-frying, which allowed food to slop over the edge and was difficult to serve neatly from because of the right-angled wall. This pan, for nearly the same diameter, has a smaller bottom surface area but that is wok-like so I don't mind. It was much easier to serve from. I am happy that I bought it and am now looking at their other frying pans.

I'm Asian so I like to use wok in the kitchen but most Asian woks are not stick-proof. It's a great discovery to find this one!

Nice and heavy wok, but not so heavy that it is difficult to handle. It retains heat very well and is great for making curries with very little oil. I've been looking for a pan like this for a very long time, I am so excited to have finally found it! I have one of the universal lids from Walmart, and it works well with it. I compared it to the balti pan by LeCreuset, and this is better - the handle makes it easier to manipulate while cooking, and is 1/4 the price.

We use super expensive Swiss Diamond Induction Nonstick Wok for about a year before its non-stick coating gone bad. We decided to look for a different brand, there are no many choice out there. After we place the order, the wok arrive in great condition with stirdy pacakging. The pan is beautiful and works great on our induction cook top. No complain so far, would recommended to anyone looking for a wok.

I have a 12" wok from TECHEF already. And I thought TECHEF wok really works best, and decided to purchase one more to replace my other regular fry pan. This one comes with its own lid which is very sturdy and beautiful. Whenever I made fried rice, I needed to keep it warm for a while without letting them dry off. The lid is doing its job perfectly. If you're looking for a non stick wok, TECHEF will provide you great selections to choose!

I received mine last week and started to use right away. The build quality is very good - It's thick and sturdy. It's a little bit heavy because of the built quality with layers but not a problem at all. Especially "No PFOA, No Cadmium, No Lead" is a big plus. Cooking food is important but your health is even more important. Those other brands with these chemicals can cause serious health problems in future. Even though this is a very good quality pan, you still have to take care of it gently. Always use a soft cloth or sponge to clean it. Do NOT apply too much pressure when cleaning if you want to keep this pan in good shape for a longer time. Try to avoid running cold water when it's hot. Overall, it's a very good quality product from Korea. I'll definitely look into getting more of their pans. I highly recommend this pan. Don't hesitate to buy it !!

I bought this wok back in January and must say it is the most beautiful wok I have ever bought and used. Not only does the pan display a flowery pattern in the pan, but the underside of the handle is designed like it is carved out of wood - that was a surprise discovery. I also love the flat bottom of this wok instead of round-bottomed ones. I bought a TeChef 12" wok before I bought this 11" one and honestly, I prefer using this 11" as it is slightly smaller and lighter to handle than the 12". When I say "lighter", this wok still feels heavy and sturdy, and I hope both my 11" and my 12" woks last a long time but if I ever have to buy another wok, it will be another 11" TeChef wok.

I watch a lot of Asian cooking shows on youtube and I noticed that alot of them use this same design. I can see why now. It is amazing.
