Worked and responded right out of the box. Dont get a universal remote from the store that wont work, wait an extra day and you'll be happy you did. I have the 65" vizio and it works just like the original.

Great remote!!

Put batteries in & it worked instantly! The original remote that came with my 65inch tv has never worked unless you were standing right in front of the tv pointing directly at the sensor. Finally, I bought this remote & im so happy I did ! I would definitely recommend this remote ! Great price & simple set up!

Problems pairing the remote? SOLUTION! Try this!

I bought two of these to no avail just plugging in batteries and using, and was wondering if something else was wrong. I did a lot of research online and am hoping my solution will help others, too. Straight from the Vizio site, I power cycled both my TV and my remote (not sure which one worked as I did both, but given that it got an old remote to work, too, I think it was the remote power cycle). Please try these steps below before you give up on this nice, inexpensive remote replacement! "1. Power Cycle The Remote Power cycling the remote resets it. This can also loosen a button on the remote you may not have realized was wedged down. Take the batteries out of the remote. Press every single button on the remote while the batteries are out. Press each button at least once. Doing this clears residual power from the remote and sometimes helps us get rid of odd problems. Test the remote again to see if it can control the TV now. 2. Power Cycle The TV Sometimes the problem isn’t the remote. Sometimes the problem is the TV. A quick way to fix this is to power cycle. Just unplug the TV from the power outlet and hold down the power button on the side of the TV for 15 seconds. Doing this drains residual power and can clear up odd issues. Then plug the TV back in and power it on. Test the remote again to see if it’s working." Hope this helps!

Great replacement remote

I bought a few for replacement, and because kids kept losing the original before the keypad gave out. They were economical enough to get a few. My only complaint is really a design flaw that causes the battery cover to constantly fall off. Piece of tape or one of the gel cases solve the problem.

Couldn’t be easier!

Loved it! Took it out of the package, popped some batteries in, and it worked immediately- I didn’t even have to set anything up! It is so simple and cost effective, I am probably going to buy another one just have around the house in case this one gets lost or my daughter spills on it again (my issue with my original remote, lol). I especially love how I can just press the Netflix button and it pops up immediately, as I don’t have cable and Netflix is the only thing I watch. Totally recommend it!

IT WORKS

After months of trying to figure out why my TV was slow to respond to commands I decided to go online and see if and update was needed. In doing my research I found that it actually might be the remote. I followed a couple of steps and was able to determine that although the remote I had "worked" it didn't do so consistently - as in it would work if I held down the button for 3-4 seconds but not if I just pushed it. Anyhow, got this remote and it works. It works great and I love it.

So Thankful, So Relieved, and the Dog Gets To Stay......

We have an older large Vizio that was given to us - and apparently there is NO WAY to turn it on without the remote. I turned my back for one minute and our new rescue puppy - one giant Lab/Shepard mix, hopped up on the sofa, sprawled out and had a chew down on the remote. Fortunately I heard the crunching sound and safely recovered all the pieces before harm was done to the dog. I was so relieved to find this replacement remote for half the price of other sellers and I had it the next day, popped the batteries in and we were back to normal. Lesson learned - remotes go up and thank you to amazon and to this seller!

Works Amazingly!

So glad they have replacements at a cheap price! The remote was in perfect condition, and works amazingly. :) My kids break our remote every other month so having a replacement available is a life saver!

My dog ate the original remote that came with the TV, this is the exact replacement. It works great!

If only it was dog-proof

Remote arrived on time, installed batteries and was up and running in minutes. New TV's that you are using for streaming are useless without a remote. Universal remotes will work but do not have the specialized keys like this factory original. Now, just to ensure to keep it out of the dog's reach.
