I constantly drop my Kindle Oasis with this cover because of medical issues
I have owned the Fintie Origami Case for Kindle Oasis (9th Gen, 2017) for seven months. First I should say that I have owned several Fintie Origami Cases for my Kindle Fire Tablets over the years, so I am familiar with the covers. The cover has many good abilities such as hands-free reading and opening/closing the cover waking up the e-reader. Over the past year, I have had to take fairly heavy doses of pain medication to function with the daily activities of living. I have difficulties holding/carrying the Kindle Oasis and drop it at least once a day in the house, the sidewalk and the walkways in malls (I don’t go anywhere without my Kindle Oasis). Considering how much I drop my Kindle Oasis (over at least 500 times from an average distance of approximately 3 feet) with the Fintie Origami Case, I am surprised that the cover looks reasonably new and that I have not damaged the Kindle Oasis. I hope never to need to buy another cover for my Kindle Oasis, but if I do, I will buy this case again. I rate this cover 4.5 stars.

Probably the best practical case for Oasis 9th Gen
I ordered Y-Denim Charcoal version and it was much better than I expected for that price. Product covers you Oasis 9th Gen perfectly from all corners. And it already helped me when I accidentally dropped my book on the floor. Integrated magnets are working with auto-wake feature. I love origami style cover since I bought "Limited Edition Premium Leather Origami Cover for Kindle Voyage" and I think that it is quite cool and useful feature. I love this cover. See my attached photos.

Great Case: HORIZONTAL and Vertical Stand, Real Fabric, Light Weight.
Charcoal Denim. First day using it, but it's great: 1. The case flap stand can easily be folded for vertical or horizontal reading. NOTE BELOW. 2. It's actually denim fabric (and darker than shown)! Has the texture of denim (of course) and the inside has a soft non-scratch suede feel to it. Some other cases claim to be fabric/denim, but they're just a photo of fabric texture on vinyl. 3. When the case cover is folded back to hold in your hand, it's not flappy. The magnets keep it in place. 4. Oasis sleeps when flap is covering screen, as it should. 5. Case fits the Oasis securely and the dark denim fabric gives it a safe grip. Note on using Oasis in horizontal mode: You can find the vertical/horizontal setting, while reading a book, open top menu and select "Aa," then "Page" and then "Orientation." The horizontal setting gives you a wider page to read.

Holding up well
UPDATE 03/04/18 Received a replacement and this one seems to be holding up much better. So far so good ;) ---------- UPDATE 02/12/2018 I'm not sure If I just got a bad one but the case has not held up. The fabric on the edges of the case has started falling apart. ------------------------------------------ Decent protection, decent price. It provides decent protection and I love the origami concept. The back side on mine had a small flaw but it doesn't bother me. It does look a little cheap but overall it's great for the price. The stand on this case is very convenient due to it still being a book-style case. My MoKo stand/case is better in terms of quality but it can't compete with this case's ease of use and thinness.

Sturdy as Well as Vibrant
Not only is this case vibrant (which I love), it’s also sturdy. I bought a cheaper case that was good for the low price, but when I fold the cover back it slides around behind the device. No such irritation with this cover because it has well-placed magnets that secure the cover nicely to the back of the device. This is a small pleasure (or nuisance depending on which cover I use) in the grand scheme of life, but it’s something I’ll look for in the future because I’ve found it to be important to me. I forgot about the kickstand feature because I rarely use that, but I tried it today and the device seemed securely positioned while using it. Time will tell if using the stand will weaken the cover from bending it, but my hopes are high. Love this cover!

Good solid case. 4-1/2 stars.
I recently bought the pricey new 9th generation (waterproof) Oasis and immediately noticed how difficult it is to carry safely. The oversized square shape combines with the slick surfaces to produce a device that seems designed for bouncing off floors. The Oasis really demands a good case. I've owned Fintie Origami cases for other devices, so I immediately bought one. My Oasis fit snugly. The edges and all-important corners are protected by hard wrap-around plastic. The well-made case is lightweight and slim, adding little bulk. The lid folds relatively flush with the screen surface and edges, and the Oasis turns "on" and "off" when the lid opens or closes. Both the power button and USB charging socket are easily accessible. I particularly liked that this case allows reading in any position: horizontal or vertical, even "upside down" or the cover folded back. The interior is lined with a soft velvety material to keep your expensive new e-reader looking new. --Minor downsides-- The Fintie cover material is more plastic-looking than I like, sorta slick and cheesy-looking. It's nice and tough but I got spoiled by the elegant material used in the MoKo (non-standing) case. Also, the hinge does not extend the full length of the case so it is slightly floppy. These are minor quibbles, however, and I could only ding the Finite case 1/2 star. So, 4-1/2 stars, folks.

Great intuitive origami cover!
For a case at this price, this is an incredible bargain. The origami cover works very well, and to me is much more intuitive to unfold and set up than others I have used. The quality of the cover, while not luxurious, is very nice. It protects the Kindle very well, doesn't add a whole lot of bulk, and seems quite well made. I'm very happy with it.

My Favorite Fintie Case
I love the Fintie Origami Case for the Kindle Oasis. They are definitely my go to cases, and I have several. They hold the Kindle up nice and straight when using the origami stand, no leaning at all. My Oasis is nice and snug inside, it definitely provides a nice fit and the cover closes and puts it to sleep and wakes it upon opening. Best of all is the origami part of it. My hands get tired holding books and eventually start to ache so the stand provides some definite relief. I just prop a pillow in my lap, the oasis on top of that and I only have to touch the button to turn the page. No holding anything. And yes, it’s very sturdy even on a pillow or on my bed mattress. It really is a perfect bit of cover engineering.

Great case!
I recently upgraded to the pricey Oasis 2 and I was looking for an inexpensive case (see the 49$ case provided by amazon) to keep my kindle safe from breakage and scratching. I saw this case featured in a YouTube review on the kindle & decided to get it. It hold up really well, I brought the brown case. It mimics leather well, and looks nice! Although I figured this were a tad bit lighter even though the new kindle is heavier than its earlier counterparts. I think they can improve on the weight of the case, but I’m not complaining! It’s a very good bargain at the price.

Best case for new Oasis
I first bought this Moko case: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J0S9C9M, but ended up returning this case instead buying and keeping this case by Finite. I found the Moku case to have problems that I did not have with this Finite case The Moku case magnet didn't connect the case well, making the stand weak and unsupportive. It was also more difficult to take the Kindle in and out of the case, which due to the weight of the case, I do often if not reading in kickstand mode. I am pleased with the Finite case. It looks nice, works well as a stand, and can easily be removed if I want to just hold the Kindle while reading. Some people complain that it can only be stood up one way (with the buttons on the right), which is true of both cases I tried. It would be nice if it was symmetrical, but it doesn't bother me, really.
