Sturdy and Lightweight
Bought this stand to replace another one that I had purchased in the same price range. This one is built MUCH better and surprisingly very sturdy! Like others, I have noticed that the top is a tiny bit wobbly (on a horizontal axis) which I may try to tinker around with, but for the price, I think it's great.

Ease of use
This music stand is super helpful and easy to assemble! It's as simple as pulling out the three rods and stand section and boom! It's a great height and didn't hurt my neck when I used it and it has nice clips to keep your papers from falling. Attached is a picture of it near my minifridge to give you an idea of how tall it is, I love it and it's great to practice with.

works fine!
I note this item is "Currently unavailable", so I may be wasting my time, but I did value other's reviews when I purchased, so here is my 2 cents' worth: I like that the platform does not need to removed off the shaft and just hinges forward. You have to be careful to not let the metal piece on the back of the hinge hit the plastic knob when fully unfolded. It simply takes a slight rotation of the middle section of the shaft to move the knob out of the way. The weight is appropriate for my kids and the nylon bag is of a slightly sturdier thickness than the cheapest nylon, which I appreciate. There were other sellers with what looked like the identical stand, but the lifetime warranty sold me on this one. I hope I do not need to use it, and that they are in stock again one day.

Very good Quality for the price
For the price this stand is very good and came just at it was described. Very tough and doesn't seem to be flimsy. Small enough for storage, light enough for travel, and easy to assemble.

Lots nicer than the picture
For years I've carried a crumby folder in my gig bag for those "oh, you were supposed to bring your own stands" moments. My old one is a flimsy piece of junk that barely holds a light folder, but FITS IN MY GIG BAG. This Gleam is the only stand which folds up to under 18" and so will fit my bag; on that basis entirely I got it. It was a very nice surprise. It is all one piece that folds up like origami, and is very solid when erected. In the picture it looks as bad as my old one but it is actually solid and stable; I don't think they used the right picture. Definitely a good buy.

Excellent Music Stand
I love the way this music stand folds up and unfolds. I've gotten numerous compliments from other musicians. It's a lot more convenient than the older 2-piece designs out there. Other reviews mentioned the carry bag having a strong smell, but I couldn't tell if those people were just more sensitive to odors than normal. Let me tell you, the carry bag I received had a VERY STRONG smell, like gasoline (petrol). I don't know if it's made out of rubber or plastic or what, but it's the first time I've ever received something like this with a strong gasoline smell. Our house had a strong gasoline smell almost as soon as I took the carry bag out of the package. I put the carry bag out in the garage for several weeks to air out, and now it's fine. In spite of that, I believe this product is worth 5 stars. I would easily buy it and toss the carry bag if needed. It's not difficult to carry the stand without the carry bag. The quality of this music stand is very good, especially for the price. The stand is strong, height-adjustable, and stable against tipping over. I would buy it again. I hope this review has been helpful!

Item is as described and works great. The bag comes in handy when transporting it to concerts. Cannot think of any cons so it's a great product.

Awesome Stand!
Thought we needed extra music stand for church, but turned out we didn't. However I opted to keep this for a future "just in case" situation. Right now it is sitting in a corner of my living room with a piece of artwork, but I'm going to look for some old music and use the stand for a display piece. If we need it at church we'll have it. I was surprised at the sturdiness of this stand. Very pleased. Only took a couple of minutes to assemble and came with a convenient carrying case if ever needed.

Love it
Bought for my 14 year old daughter that plays viola. She loves this stand a lot; must better/sturdier than the standard wire foldable stands.

Very Impressed!
This music stand (GMS-001S) is very sturdy and well made. We almost didn't order it due to a review that showed a "desk" that is not horizontal. Ours arrived in excellent condition and we agree with the numerous favorable (5 stars) rating. Only negative, a small one, is the bag does have a strong chemical odor. Unfortunately ,we had to dispose of the bag due to sensitivity issues. But all in all, very pleased with this purchase. We use it as a stand for our guitar lessons book and it holds it quite nicely. Also we like the adjustability of the height. This was shipped directly from Gleam and arrived 4 days after ordering (ordered on a Saturday) and arrived on our door step Wednesday, even with the Tuesday New Years Holiday.
