sturdy metal bookends

Simple, sturdy metal bookends. Exactly what I was looking for. I would have thought I could get them anywhere, but couldn't find any in local stores. Good product. Good price.

Terrific Basic

So, I decided I needed some bookends and headed to a brick and mortar store to pick some up and they didn't have any plain ones. I knew exactly what I wanted and I couldn't find them anywhere and the more "decorative" book ends weren't what I was looking for and were far more money than I wanted to spend. I was so pleased with these basics, that I ended up order another two sets...they're terrific for what they are.

Nice Sturdy Simple Bookends

I received these bookends pretty fast and they were everything as described. They are very sturdy and stand up without falling over even with my heaviest books. I also received them very promptly and without any problems.

Love 'em except for one small thing--

These are sturdy and tall, perfect for my over-sized books. Just one little thing bothers me: your logo and serial number on the outside of the bookends. Couldn't you put them on the inside? I don't see them in the picture. But I am picky. This small detail would not stop me from buying them again--why would I not buy again the perfect solution to my heavy books, and many notebooks, on top of bookcases, desks, and tables? Excellent quality, fair price, prompter than expected delivery.

Good choice

I don't know that there's anything absolutely astounding to mention about these stands; they just do their job. I recently installed shelves onto my wall and I needed a means to keep the books from falling over with a domino effect onto my floor. These have done exactly that. They're made of a good material, they're sturdy, and they keep the books from falling over. That's all I expect. Five stars for a functional product, as well as for reasonably priced.

Keeps my books in line.

Before the MaxGear book ends universal premium bookends my books, were EVERYWHERE! Loose, Unruly, Wild. Coming home at all hours of the night, sometimes not at all for long weekends. They acted like they owned the place! Now... after putting them in between two of these sturdy bookends, they've straightened up and are flying right. They stay in order standing tall. I take a look in the morning and when I come home from work and they're all in the same order. These bookends put the fear of GOD into my books, and I am thankful for that.

Perfect for lots of reasons!

Love this product. The bookends were intended to replace some others I've owned for eons. Husband needed the old ones in his shop, so I ordered these new bookends in a slightly taller size. Nice and heavy duty, taking up barely any space, I use the bookends in my crafts area for "stuff" such as direction cards, die sets or stamp sets awaiting indexing, followups, using one book mark for holding things in place inside drawers and cupboards - even using them in the kitchen to hold all the plastic lids for glass containers. For any item requiring a little separation to hold things upright, these are the perfect solution!

They Hold Up My Books Without Slipping

My house is filled to the brim with books and in order to make some sense to the chaos, I purchased these bookends. They are sturdy and don't slide. I am very happy with them. All you readers out there with loads of books, you will like these book ends.

Not spilling on the floor

These are the generic bookends. When you think of bookends from a library or a bookstore, these are what comes to mind. They're in an unobtrusive color, sturdy enough to hold the books without bending, thin enough to slide under the books already on the shelf, but won't slide when the weight of the books are against them. If you want bookends that do the job well, at a good price, but want something where the books are the attention grabbers (not the bookends), this is for you.

Exactly as seller described - and no disfiguring brand labels.

These solid bookends were exactly what the seller described and were exactly what I wanted. Some reviews mentioned a brand marked where it could be seen on the outside, but mine arrived with no marks or brand visible at all. One had a label on the bottom - it was easily removed - but no disfiguring advertising logos or brands could be seen on any of them. Only odd thing was the packaging was a simple flat padded envelope, not a box, and that the envelope was totally ripped wide open from one side to the other along the top. How the bookends managed to stay inside is a mystery, but they did and are tough enough they weren't damaged.
