It was time to replace my old Dlink cameras. Bought this Wansview camera as a one day deal for try out. This camera is well built and doesn't feel flimsy at all. I was very impressed with the material and how sturdy it felt. The wifi set up was easy, especially because my modem has WPS and so does camera. The micro USB cable is very convenient and long enough to place the camera easily anywhere. Once connected, I was amazed on how beautifully it displayed the video either 480 or 1080 on the app. The app has many wonderful options. I tested the microphone through the app and actually had a conversation with my daughters while I was at the store. They said it was loud and clear. I showed my sister who owns an expensive security camera system and she was amazed how cleared it displayed. She was to buy one for her house now. Now the only difficult part I had was setting up the email notification on my Android phone using Gmail. Google security has to give you a password for the app to work. Took a YouTube video to understand it. I finally got it to work after a few days searching. So I went and bought another camera. Eventually I'm going to be buying and outdoor wansview camera next month.

I already had the previous model of this camera and was very happy with it. I needed another camera for baby’s bedroom and decided to purchase this model because seemed easier to mount on the wall above the crib. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase, it was easy to connect and mount to the wall. It has great range of vision and the quality of the image is outstanding. If I need more cameras I will definitely go with this brand.

I have about 20 various cameras so I get to know what is good and bad. The first thing that surprised me was the size. It is much smaller than I expected. I'm sure the dimensions were given but I expected a camera the size of your usual Tenvis tilt/pan. This is about 1/2 the size. It makes it really handy to find a suitable place to mount it. The coverage area is great. I debated on getting another tilt/pan but this one covers just about all the area and I don't need to mess with the controls on a tilt/pan which seem to work about 1/2 the time anyhow. Installation was a snap. Just plug it near the router and scan the code and a couple more steps you are ready to go. Mention is made but make sure you are connected to 2.4g Wi-Fi and not 5. Most routers have that option. The phone app works well. It is simple but does a great job. I also use a 3rd party app with this camera so I have all my other cameras all on one app. There are a few brands you can't do this with, Another reason I ordered Wainsview again was the great customer service. On other models I had question on how to configure them, When you get that many cameras running at the same time you can get conflicts. The customer service returned my emails prompty and with the information I needed. They really seem to care. To sum it up I am a happy customer and will continue to order more Wainsview cameras as my other one become old and out dated.

EXCELLENT SECURITY CAMERA!!!!!!!! I’ve been trying to find a reasonably priced camera system that runs on WiFi with no monthly fee for my horse barn and this camera does not disappoint! I love it so much I ordered more for the other horse stalls and two weatherproof ones for outside! Superior clarity! Night vision could be better but it does the job for what I need the camera for!

So I have slowly been upgrading my 6 K2 720p cameras (soon to be 10 overall) to this 1080p version then relocating them places less important. First thing I noticed besides the crisper image quality ( the K2's look great for 720p don't get me wrong ), better FOV clarity around the edges, and oddly better wifi reception but maybe that's just my addition of an AP. I do recommend a dedicated access point for any ip camera setup that's more than a few cameras. I have also been using these outdoors. I know these aren't meant for that but I've had 2 of my 720p models outdoors for an entire year. These are under some cover from the roof but not 100% protected from the elements and thankfully no issues in the snow or during storms. Now I've swapped those to this model and they are also holding up fine so far. Myself, parents, and my sister all use the K2 and K3 models at our homes bringing the total to over 20 cameras. None have came DOA nor have I lost them to failure for any reason yet. So if you don't know where to start, give these a go, you won't be disappointed!

This is an update to my original review written 9/2017. Both my K2 and K3 cameras have operated flawlessly since their purchase in 2017. Two weeks ago I had to disconnect the K2 camera from the system for several days due to remodeling activities in the home. Last week I attempted to reconnect with total failure on my part to complete the task. I attempted numerous times using all the published protocol and several you tube videos. I was frustrated and convinced the camera was defective for whatever reason. Then I recalled the fabulous customer service I had received from Wansview when I did my original set up. So I emailed their support team and shortly received an initial email from Margie. We reviewed everything I had attempted and began a two day (because of time differences between the U.S. and China) project to revive my K2. Margie and I had about twenty emails flying back and forth and I followed all her possible solutions. She just would not quit until I was a satisfied customer. To make a long story short, Margie had me try a procedure I had never tried or was aware of and we had SUCCESS. My system is back up and will soon receive a couple of more cameras, K3s and possibly one wireless camera for exterior observation. I want the readers to know just what you get when you buy a Wansview product. In my opinion the products are a great value, excellent performance at a truly reasonable cost. The biggest extra feature is the quality of support you will receive from members of Margie's team. It is unmatched compared to many other customer support groups I have had to rely on over the years. Thanks again team. I recently received and installed my second Wansview 1080P Society Camera. I have had such excellent success with my first, rotatable Wansview camera that I decided to buy a second. The K3 was the perfect choice. I wanted to install it in my home office (where my two small dogs stay when we are not home). The K3 is very compact, measuring less than 4 inches high and 3 inches wide when installed upright. Perfect for a stealth installation. I was amazed at the quality of the 1080 video streaming on my 2.4 wifi system. When I tested the audio feature, I found it to be as clear as my larger Wansview camera. I was even able to pass commands to my dogs through the camera speaker from a remote location. Boy, did that confuse them. If you are considering or have a need for a reasonably priced security camera installation I highly recommend the Wansview Product line. The installation is simple and their CUSTOMER SUPPORT is amazing. They communicate extremely well and fast and apparently have a real customer concern policy. Now I am going to order a third K3 for my garage !!!!

This is my 3rd purchase of 4 cameras. A year ago I bought the 720 K2 cameras. Wanted a bit of security added to my house. I put 3 in the window sills looking out at the yard and 1 watching the living room when we leave. I turned off the nightvision as that does not work thru glass but the motion detection still does. I installed LED motion flood lights outside not too long before the cameras. Worked great because if lights came on at night the cameras could see and give me a picture. I also had one pointed at the front porch and the motion detection worked great letting me know someone was on the porch. Really nice part is getting alarm text messages. The app works good. Easy to get around in and easy to connect cameras to it. But you have to follow directions. You also use the cameras IP address to configure it even further. You can find the IP for each camera in the app. A really nice thing is you can just unplug it and move it to where you need it. Fully portable. When our kids come over the camera can be moved to keep and eye on the grand kids. We have the cameras recording 24/7. Twice the camera caught activity that required police and we were able to export video for that. After those incidences we decided to upgrade to the K3 1080p cameras. Also sent a 720 set to the kids. I have only had 1 problem and it seems that I caused it. All the cameras were working without a problem and then out of nowhere 3 of my cameras started dropping off and acting strange. Talked with tech help thru email for a couple of days and still could not get them working. Tech help called me at home and we stayed on the phone for close to an hour testing and working different things. Come to find out I put one wireless device too many on my network and was causing congestion. Changed the channel on my 2.4 WiFi and good to go. Thank you so much customer service.

PURCHASED THIS CAMERA JANUARY 2018: I love this camera! I use it for home surveillance and can log in while I'm away. Just recently (APRIL 2018) the camera all the sudden wouldn't let me log on, on my cellular data LTE to the camera and I contacted their customer service. Someone responded to me SUPER FAST and was extremely helpful. We did some troubleshooting and we were not able to connect to the camera if I wasn't on the same internet wifi as the camera. The resolution was that they mailed me a new camera exactly as the one that wasn't working. It now connects perfectly! I highly recommend their customer service if you have any questions. Here are some important things to know (1) IT WAS INCREDIBLY EASY TO SET UP!! (2) My camera is a bit aways from my router and it still works GREAT! (3) The night vision is amazing!! (4) I can log in to my camera and HEAR what's happening in that room and even SPEAK through the camera! (5) I know it has recording capabilities but I haven't yet figured that out, as I haven't needed it. (6) 1080 is really a pretty crisp picture. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this camera!!

Great camera. Good night vision. Crisp image. Nice web interface. Does not force you to purchase cloud service. I record my camera's on my pc 24/7 via RTSP(Real time streaming protocol). Camera has alarm(motion) events which will trigger cellphone notifications and also do other things like email pictures or even FTP a copy of the video if an event is trigger. With the wansview cellphone app you can bring up your video any time from anywhere you have internet. These cameras are very well priced and very functional. With great customer support.

This is my fourth Wansview camera & the first model K3 I've purchased to use in my home video security system using Sighthound software. The extra-long power cord with a right-angle micro USB connector makes installation easy. This camera replaces a D-Link DCS-930L camera looking out the window at my back porch & the difference is amazing! The wide angle lens gives me a much bigger view & the improvement in resolution is unbelievable! See attached photos. This camera I had up & running with my wireless network in about 10 minutes. Wireless range is good because the camera is at the opposite end of my house from the router & there have been no dropouts. Because the camera is looking through a window I can't use the night vision function but that's not a problem since the area outside is well lit at night. The option, that some other night vision cameras don't include, to turn off the IR LEDs is important. I have emailed Wansview several times with questions about my other Wansview cameras & their customer service is excellent. If I email from the US in the evening, a very helpful & understandable answer is waiting in my mail in the morning.
