This is an excellent planter, say goodbye to the funky plastic containers and hello to Patch. You have to do minimal assembly, instructions are easy to follow. Then you add soil and plant your chosen plants. It looks cool and the system for self watering is brilliant. You can use the planter inside or out of your home and water when necessary. It has a little hole on the side to prevent overwatering.

When this arrived, I really wasn't sure if it was going to work or not. The planter was easy to assemble, but I was still skeptical that it was going to do anything. It doesn't take up a lot of space, but so far, it's doing a good job. We've got little sprouts of cilantro growing in our kitchen. It's made from a plastic coated cardboard and I was expecting it to leak or something, so I have been pleasantly surprised with it. I'm terrible about remembering to water plants, so this is perfect for me. I usually don't think of it until it starts drooping or turning brown. I'm thinking about ordering another one so I can grow peppermint.

This Patch Planter is Sooooo Coooool. I think I’m going to order a few more. It comes all folded like an envelope and my first words were “What da’ Heck?”. But then I checked out the simple instructions and watched an online tutorial (you don’t even need the tutorial but I was having fun) and it all went together in a matter of minutes. I’m not sure what the material is but it feels like if paper and plastic had a baby you’d get this. This growth environment is perfect for windowsill growing of herbs in your kitchen. It’s a qualified winner for school science projects (you know, the man-in-the-moon marigolds & all). I actually use one to sit my potted orchids on. The water layer makes the perfect humid conditions to keep my pretties happy. Love, love, love.

We're living in a rental, but love growing our own herbs. This is perfect because it is lightweight enough to transport easily when we move. It's a great size for a couple herb varieties, and once built, is surprisingly sturdy. It's very well designed, and durable. Watering is easy through the little spout. This would be a great gift idea for apartment living!

Product really worked well. I no longer buy basil or thyme but grow my own right in the window sill

I used this to grow catnip for my cats. It worked great! The catnip grew nicely, indoors, which is awesome because I'm *terrible* at taking care of outdoor plants. Seriously, I suck. But the catnip is happy, and the cats are high, and everything's good in my house. Recommended if you want to grow herbs indoors!

This product works great. If don't want to spend the time trying to build your own self watering planter, this is an excellent soultion.

Easy to set up a low-maintenance window garden! I mixed herbs (for scent) and flowers (for color). Works perfectly. Clever idea—gave one to a friend, too.

Clever idea! I've to the seeds started, but it was easy to assemble and I can see the great ideas that went into the design of this. Way to go Patch!
