Ok so I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to the Bose Soundlink Mini, which is just out of my budget. After trying several options, I finally found it in this bad boy right here! I didn't want to compromise sound quality (especially that sweet sweet bass) and with this Tribit X-boom...I dont! I'm not being paid for writing this review, I'm gladly writing it up so that if you're like me with a limited budget and expensive sound taste, you save time and money looking.

This speaker offers great value for the price. It has sufficient bass punch at even at low volumes. I keep the extra bass on all the time... why not? The sound at low volumes is just as clear as when it’s higher. Also the claim to have 360 degree sound holds up. I can place the speaker anywhere in the room and the sound is the same. It has plenty of volume for most people I would say unless you’re used to raves and/or have hearing damage because you added a massive subwoofer to your already small car trunk as a teenager. The intuitive and simple on and off sounds and the battery level indicator lights are nice. It also connects very easily and quickly to my iPhone . The Bluetooth range is great for my 1,000 square foot floor even when in other rooms. The feel of the speaker itself is solid and feels like it will hold up. The waterproof claim seems legit but I have not submerged the speaker. It does not have a battery percentage indicator icon on my phone which would be nice however I can always check the speaker itself by adjusting the volume up or down. I would highly recommend watching clavinetjunkie’s YouTube review on this speaker and hear for yourself. It helped to sell me on this speaker.

I like music. No, I mean...I really, really like music. I have several headphones (Sony, Grado, Sennheiser, V-Moda, Koss etc) just to listen to different genres of music. Even my whole house is equipped with wireless speakers (Denos Heos) and I have several bluetooth speakers for outdoor use/travel (a couple Sony's, a Doss XL and a pair of Ultimate Ears). So you can say I listen to various headphones and speakers everyday and know what sounds good. Having been a subscriber to Clavinet Junkie BT speaker channel on Youtube, I purchased a couple speakers based on his recommendations and have been pleasantly surprised. The Tribit was featured on the channel and given a good review and I decided to take a chance on this little speaker which seems like a mixture of a JBL Flip and Ultimate Ears (UE) Boom. To my ears it seems to take those two speaker designs and combines them to make a nice little sounding speaker. It takes the JBL's passive radiators , nice treble and then adds the UE's bass and control buttons to create the Tribit's X-Boom. When I got the speaker, I was amazed on how well it was made (it's also waterproof with IPX7), its relatively light weight and how it seemed to be very well balanced sound wise. Next I did some informal tests and compared it to my other BT speakers. First was the Sony XB30, which at the time I thought sounded pretty good until I listened and compared it to the Tribit. The Sony seemed very bassy and muddy with no treble but it's battery life is off the charts. Next was the UE Wonderboom, which is very bass heavy sounded but lacks definition especially in the mids and highs which the Tribit seemed to have. Then I tested it against the two other bigger speakers I have, the Sony SRSX55 and the Doss XL. Comparing the Tribit to those two speakers is a bit unfair since they have more drivers, subwoofers and passive radiators. At low volumes the Tribit could sort of hang with them but at higher volumes, the other two speakers surpassed it. But what the Tribit brings to the table is great balanced sound with nice high, mids and lows from a tiny package and great portability which the the Sony SRSX55 and the Doss XL can't do since these are heavier options and are more functional as stationary/desktop models. So if you're looking for a great little speaker for travel that's also waterproof and sounds great, look no further than the Tribit X Boom. You wont be disappointed.

A little background information: I work in a warehouse with loud machinery and so was in the market for a good speaker. Bought the xSound first and it didn't have the bass punch i was looking for but this thing blew me away. I have 2 people asking me to order them cause they thought this was a $150 speaker. Thanks for the awesome product! Only con is the battery life lasted me 6 hours on Max volume but other than that it's an amazing speaker that you should buy.

Absolutely amazing sound at a great price. I own a jbl Flip 4 and a Bose Soundlink Micro and can say without a doubt that the sound this speaker produces is superior to both. Tribit manages a well balanced sound on this speaker and manages to hold its integrity at even the highest volume while the jbl lacks bass once you turn the volume all the way up. The IPX 7 rating may not mean much to some but for those that like to listen to music outdoors it is a must have. Being able to submerge it in 3 ft of water for up to 30 mins adds peace of mind. Not that you would, but you could. The carrying strap makes it easy to latch on to almost anything. Very convenient. Overall a phenomenal speaker.

When my Tribit arrived I immediately placed in on a charger. What I DID NOT KNOW and what is not indicated in the instructions is the Tribit can only handle a 2amp charger. NO where in the instructions is this mentioned. The rating of the speaker is only indicated in "Specifications". SO right off the bat I fried the speaker. Sent a email to customer service and about 3 weeks later I have a new speaker plugged into my 2amp port. (Tribit PLEASE either supply a designated charger OR take more prudent steps to alert buyers to the consequences of using a charger stronger than 2 amps (which everything I have is over 2 amps except for the port on this computer). Now on to the speaker itself. I am VERY satisfied. The sound coming out of this tiny thing is better than I ever expected. Good base, clear highs, no distortion. The sound comes out of the top and bottom of the speaker so seems best to lay speaker on its side for best sound possible. I am very pleased. Truly wish I had not had the initial problem but one of the reasons I picked this speaker was for the reviews indicating great customer service...they were right on the money. I have no reservations recommending this company or this speaker...I would/will purchase from them again.

Was looking for another bluetooth portable speaker. Originally had the beats pill which was purchased years ago. I was eyeing the Bose and JBL line mainly. I was just about to commit to the JBL Flip 4 (of course I thought Bose is the better buy but saving money). I saw a lot of other portable speakers on amazon which were a lot cheaper. I came across a lot of them but when I came across this one and watched several youtube reviews I went for this one. Best choice ever made. This sounds comparable to the Bose (my brother has one). Very clear, nice on the lows, crisp and clear highs. I played several different types of music. Rap/ Rock/ Jazz/ Alternative. Sounded great on every level. Sound fills up the room nicely good for larger rooms to. If you do decide. to purchase this you won't be disappointed. I will say this is 5 times better than the beats pill.

For being a 360 degree speaker like the UE boom products I had a low expectation for bass and sound dispersion, but this speaker blew all my doubts away rather quickly. I am now considering getting another to replace my aging Sony speakers

Since March 2018, I've ordered (3) Bluetooth speakers and returned each for one reason or another. I didn't just buy these willy-nilly, mind you, I did a lot of research, including watching countless audio review videos from such experts as clavinetjunkie on YouTube (look him up, he's a genius!). The first one I bought was the Tribit XSound Go ($40). It was OK, but just lacked "punch." I really debated returning it, but in the end, it just didn't sound as deep and heavy as I wanted. Next up was the JBL Flip 4 ($79.95). I decided maybe I needed to drop a little more money to get the sound I wanted. So, I doubled up and paid twice what I paid for the XSound Go. This speaker was good, and was a slight upgrade -- it had more bass and filled up the room better. However, after less than two months, it started just cutting in and out and dropping its Bluetooth connection. So annoying! The 30-day Amazon return window had closed, so I had to sell it on eBay at a loss of $25. Bummer, and also the last JBL I'll ever buy. Next, I decided to buy (2) speakers; one for upstairs and one for down. I went with the OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA ($41.99/ea.). At first, I was satisfied with these, but after a couple weeks, I noticed just how tinny and tiny they sounded. No bass whatsoever and just not the type of machine you want to hear good music out of. So, I went back to clavinetjunkie's page and was surprised to see a new and very positive review of the Tribit XBoom ($69.99). This speaker had yet to drop, with only pre-orders available on Amazon. In fact, no one on the internet even had anything about it save for clavinetjunkie's video. I watched the video about three times and then waited and checked by the hour until the speaker finally went live on Amazon. I snatched that joker up the second I saw it was available and spent the next two days with an electric giddiness coursing through my body in anticipation. REVIEW: So, I opened the Amazon box about 10 minutes ago, paired up my phone and put on some ZZ Top and Jason Mraz (don't judge). The verdict? This thing sounds amazing! Like, at every volume, low, high and in-between, it sounds crisp, deep and has that "punch" I was looking for. I think this is it -- I've found my forever speaker. I could not be happier. Well, except for one small thing... Unlike every other Bluetooth device I have, this is the only one that doesn't show its battery life on my phone's Bluetooth notification panel (Google Pixel 2 XL with the latest version of Android). It's not a deal breaker, but I just don't understand how something brand new with Bluetooth 4.2 doesn't have this. It's really helpful to know when you have to charge something before leaving the house or just in general. Maybe Tribit will address this with a firmware update. Anyway, I highly suggest this, and even though I've only had it for, like, 15 minutes now, I am very satisfied. UPDATE: I had a couple issues with my speaker, but Tribit's Customer Service Department went above and beyond to assist me. Highly recommend this product!
