Perfect! High Quality.
I reupholstered my kitchen chairs. These previously uncomfortable chairs are now very comfortable for us. We actually spend a lot of time sitting on our kitchen chairs using the laptop, eating, playing with grandkids and watching tv so our old chairs were bothering our backs. I removed the old, thin foam and used this foam it its' place. I cut this with an electric knife (turkey carver type) with no problem. Nice clean cuts. The foam is thicker and denser than the original. I covered the chairs with some interior "Sunbrella" upholstery fabric that I bought. Now not only comfortable chairs but a nice updated look as well. I love that I can buy this on Amazon. I know that most places around the country don't have stores that sell foam and even though we live in a suburb of a large metro area, the shop closest to me recently closed. The selection at the big craft stores is well below the quality and density of this foam so just order this and stop hunting.

Not too soft but not too hard
Update: 3 years later and these foam pads are still comfy! My wife thought I was being silly but I thought it was a ingenious idea to put a shelf under my computer desk to kick my feet up when I want, however I wanted some cushion and after some searching I came across this and am glad I did. I made this purchase with the idea in mind that I was going to cut the foam to fit a wooden board. The foam came rolled up as you see in the featured picture but does stay flat once unrolled. The measurements are exact and cutting it wasn't too bad. Super glue seems to hold pretty well against the board the have it on and it's comfy. Hopefully it will last. Nice thick rectangular pad
I bought this to add fluff and height to an ottoman. It was a. It tricky to cut when trimming it from a rectangle to oval. It felt like it feels when cutting styrofoam. Fortunately it doesn’t feel like styrofoam in my finished ottoman. ***Yes, the ottoman is ugly. I tried. #FirstTime

Great foam, this stuff worked great for replacing some 10+ year old foam in our dining room chairs. I would definitely recommend this and the high compression rate gives a lot of extra cushion on the chairs! The price is also much cheaper than the foam I've found in local craft stores!

Convenient Size
This is a good quality, high-density foam. I appreciate the fact the description gives the compression rate in addition to the density. We bought this foam to make new cushions for counter stools. The size is perfect for this application with less waste than 24" width available in local craft and fabric stores and much lower cost.

perfect for repairing a seat
I acquired a vintage telephone bench with a seat that had seen better days. They must have had tough bottoms in those days because the original padding was next to nothing. So I bought some vintage fabric and this foam and it looks great, and a bit more comfy...if there ever was a need to sit on a telephone bench anymore. :-)

Great for a chair cushion
I bought this for a chair that I was reupholstering and couldn't be happier with my purchase. It was the perfect size to fit the seat and I liked the thickness. It molded easily and the chair looks great and is very comfortable.

Nice for making chair cushions
Purchased the "FoamTouch Upholstery Foam Cushion High Density 2" Height x 18" Width x 18" Length" to make cushions for an old oak office chair. I covered each with an old pillowcase (Makes the foam easier to put in covers). I then inserted each into a "H.VERSAILTEX Pillow Protectors 2 Pack Premium High Stretch Jacquard Lycra Pillow Cases Decorative Pillow Covers 18x18 inch, Sage " which I also purchased from Amazon. I still need to cut about 1" off the seat cushion to make it fit the chair seat correctly but the back cushion fits perfectly. I also need to add the ties to hold the cushions securely to the chair. Plan to do the same for another old oak office chair. The cushions are a bit firm but better than too soft. The H.VERSAILTEX Pillow Protectors have so much stretch that I am not concerned about cutting some foam off the seat cushion and having the cover still fit.
