I bought this so that I could change the brakes on my wife’s 2013 Honda Civic. Almost bought the rubber “pucks” but decided to pay a little more for this aluminum one. This thing works as it should. No regrets! And now for the best part. When I got done with the brakes, I went for a test drive and when I got back home, I realized I had forgotten this puck on the car. The magnets held on and it was still snug on the pinch weld!

Awesome product. This fits perfectly on the pinch welds of my 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata (ND) and is a much cheaper option then some of the custom welded adapters out there. Also much easier to use than the rubber hockey puck style adapters. The magnets are also extremely helpful to align and keep the adapter sturdy on the weld. In fact, those magnets helped me maneuver the adapter underneath the obnoxious plastic sills on the GT trim of my car - something that I thought was going to be a huge issue. Build quality is excellent, perfectly anodized without any mess. The fiberglass pad (inside the weld groove) also did not mar after using. There was also no scratching or damage to my pinch welds from the metal-on-metal sides - something I was also worried about. I also was happy that there was some anti-skid grooves on the underside of the adapter, so it wouldn't slide off my jack when initially raising the car. I'm using a Harbor Freight rapid pump jack (if that's helpful to know). Good stuff! Strongly recommended.

Simple to use along with a floor jack in place of the vehicles scissor jack. Keep in mind that this is not designed for use with a bottle jack, it needs a floor jack similar to what you'll see pit crews use changing tires during a NASCAR pit stop. The floor jack needs a saddle with an interior dimension of at least 3 inches to hold it securely. I lifted a Focus the day it arrived it so beats the modified 2x4 I was using. I think it'll work on pretty much any car the has a pinch seam. The magnets hold the puck in place on the vehicle while you align your floor jack, easy. Is this a must have? Not really, there are other means of protecting the pinch weld seam while using a floor jack, but none easier. For the price this is hard to beat. Be safe, be smart, read instructions. Get yourself some jack stands and use them if you plan on putting body parts under the vehicle.

Works good. Magnetized to the pinch welds and holds pretty good. I used it on my 2019 WRX and it fits on the spots that are on the front and the back of the pinch welds on each side. The only thing I wish it had is maybe a little strap that hangs down so you don’t forget to remove it when you’re all done, but other than that it works how it’s intended. The bright reddish-orange color will help with not forgetting it.

All of my BMW vehicles were purchased as pre-owned vehicles. Every time I buy a "new to me" used BMW I am never surprised when I lift it off the ground for the first time and discovered that the jack pads have been completely destroyed by either the previous owner, or, more likely, the people that have done maintenance on the vehicle on behalf of the previous owner. People who are new to the brand simply don't know how to properly utilize the jack pads that are fitted to every BMW vehicle. The jack pads are made out of hard plastic that is fragile if used incorrectly, but incredibly strong and provide extra stability when used properly. You must use a jack pad adapter of some type in order to utilize them correctly. Most people, however, simply don't want to spend any extra money to use them properly, or don't know what they are, so the jack pads get destroyed over time. Then the vehicle gets sold to someone like me who ends up having to replace all of the broken jack pads. It's my lot in life. What makes these Potauto Universal Aluminum Jack Pad Adapters SO useful is that they are very well made, they are durable because they are metal, you can get them in bright red, and they are very reasonably priced. Why does it matter to me that they are red, you ask? Well, I once drove around for two weeks with a black jack pad adapter made by a different manufacturer stuck up inside one of my destroyed jack pads without even know it. Once I had lowered the car, the adapter didn't drop out of the destroyed jack pad. It was dark, the jack pad adapter was black, I was tired, and I didn't notice that it was stuck up in the damaged jack pad. Can you imagine a metal jack pad adapter coming off at 75 mph on the highway! Luckily that didn't happen, and I'm surprised that it didn't. All of my jack pad adapters are now red, and I never leave one behind. Therefore, these Potauto Universal Aluminum Jack Pad Adapters in red are a must have if you work on your own BMW. Utilize them properly and keep your jack pads in factory condition.

Love this thing. I have an oddball Ford Transit Connect that cannot be jacked up properly without a lift or the hard to use jack that comes with the spare. As I do more repairs and maintenance on my car, I discovered this little gadget to help lift the van by the pinch welds, with is the proper way to do it without damaging the jacking points. This thing is a life saver and makes using the floor jack I bought much easier and safer to use. Even on a regular car with better points to lift the car safely, this is a handy little tool when a pinch weld point is needed or preferred to lift the car. Recommended.

Essential tool to have in order to properly jack a BMW with the silly plastic jacking "tabs". Common scissor jacks will damage the frame rail/body or destroy the tabs. The jack that is included with the car is junk. It is downright dangerous. I needed to change a tire at one point. On a level surface with parking brake..when pulling the tire- the BMW jack folded forward and collapsed. Luckily the rotor bolts hit the tire rim and stopped the car from completely dropping. My thumb was near the top of the tire. If it was an inch closer to the body of the car- I would have lost it. I bought a quality scissor jack, drilled two holes into the jack top and this "puck"- bolted them together..and now have a effective emergency option. This is actually a safety device..USE IT.

Made well and worked fine with my floor jack. Took me a while to get around to using the adapter but was a great addition to my set of jacking tools. Nicely radiused joints to reduce possible crack failures. Looked small when I first saw the pair but was more than adequate for lifting my 3100 lb vehicle. Don't know about 4500 lb vehicles but wouldn't expect them to have weld seams as those vehicles are built on frames.

This is perfect for vehicles without conventional jack points. This is used in conjunction with a floor jack. It sits on the jack pad and picks up the vehicle from the “pinch weld” check out some videos if you don’t know what that is. Perfect for my 2017 Camaro.

Worked perfectly on a 2017 Dodge Challenger. Looks and feels high quality. Fits easily in the lift cup of your jack
