I purchased because my laptop took a crap and I hate using the virtual keyboard. Didn’t do much research other than a quick Google search of Bluetooth keyboards compatible with both my iPad and Samsung Galaxy phone. It got a good star rating and no huge red flags, plus the price point was in line for what I needed it for. A few things that I’ve read other people comment on that I think needs a a little clairification: “Out of box set up” - It’s pretty self explanitory when there’s a big button on the left-hand side that has the word ‘CONNECT’ on it. “Battery charge indication” - There is a little LED light next to the graphic of a battery and the big ‘CONNECT’ button. It will be green when you plug it into a power source and blue when it’s time to charge. It says all this in the instructions. Speaking of which ... “Instructions” - I’m not sure if people are expecting, an internal schematic of the thing, or what, because the instructions are pretty self explanatory as well. “Connectivity” - There are occasional periods where your virtual keyboard will pop up (indicating the thing timed out), but as soon as you touch a key the keyboard is back in business. I wouldn’t even call it a minor inconvenience. All in all I feel like it was a good Hail Mary buy for me, and I would recommend it for anyone that needs something for travel, work on a second screen platform where you find the virtual keyboard cumbersome, etc. I like it and I typed this review using the keyboard.

EDIT ON 4/30/2018: PLEASE NOTE THAT MY REVIEW REFERS ONLY TO THE BLACK KEYBOARD THAT FOLDS VERTICALLY AND DOES NOT HAVE THE PHONE STAND. I HAVE SINCE TRIED THE GREY ONE THAT FOLDS TRANSVERSELY AND HAS THE STAND. WHILE THE GREY ONE IS ALL METAL AND SEEMS MORE ROBUST, IF YOU SPEAK ENGLISH, DO *NOT* BUY THE ONE WITH A STAND. IF YOU EXAMINE THE PHOTO OF THE KEY LAYOUT, YOU'LL NOTICE THAT THE APOSTROPHE/QUOTE KEY AND THE QUESTION MARK/FORWARD SLASH KEYS ARE OMITTED FROM THE KEYBOARD AND ACCESSIBLE ONLY AS FUNCTION KEYS. THERE IS ALSO SOME DIFFICULTY IN THE SLIGHT SEPARATION OF THE TOP ROW FROM THE HOME ROW, THOUGH I THINK THIS COULD BE OVERCOME WITH PRACTICE. BUT THE LACK OF APOSTROPHE IS DEFINITELY A DEALBREAKER. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL IMPROVE THE LAYOUT, AND THEN THIS KEYBOARD CAN BE BRILLIANT LIKE THE BLACK LEATHER-LIKE ONE. IN THE MEANTIME, GET THE BLACK ONE AND SAVE THE FEW DOLLLARS, AS WELL AS THE TROUBLE OF PULLING OUT ALL YOUR HAIR TRYING TO FIND THE APOSTRPHE. :) FOLLOWING IS THE ORIGINAL REVIEW OF THE BLACK LEATHER-LIKE KEYBOARD: I’d almost like to include a gimmick in which I measure the length of time it takes me to write this review while using this keyboard, because the key action is so blazing fast. But I’ll be more thoughtful. If you read nothing further in this review, I’ll just tell you that this is the one to get. There are probably cheaper and more expensive keyboards out there, but this ought to give you everything you need. I was in China for two months around the beginning of the year, and went to all sorts of electronics malls also selling folding keyboards. Only a very few vendors will even let you try out the keyboard, and the few I tried were exceptionally disappointing. I wasn’t even tempted to buy one, no matter how cheap the price. The keys tended to be irregular in whether or not a character would appear. My normal typing speed approaches 100 WPM, and I don’t tolerate sloppy keys or arbitrary execution. I will admit that my first experience with even this keyboard was a little questionable. I had been using a miniature Logitech which did not fold, whereas this one is a full sized keyboard. The T, G, and N are slightly wider than the other keys. I haven’t figured out exactly why, but I assume that ergonomically it must provide some advantage. Anyway, the first time I touched the keyboard, I made so many typos that I thought the keyboard was going to have to go back. However, the learning curve was actually very short, and by day 2, I was in love. I just took this keyboard to a trade show and the excitement it generated from people walking by and seeing me use it was almost better than most of the exhibits. I could have sold dozens of units if I’d been carrying them on me. As it is, I should have started charging Jelly Comb a commission for as many people photographed my keyboard so that they would remember it when they went to buy it. Rechargeable with mini USB, and I haven’t figured out exactly how long it lasts, but I will say that it’s at least several days, and you do get some warning as the keyboard seems to become prone to disconnecting from the phone’s Bluetooth when the battery is in need of recharging. Admittedly this is not ideal, but without a battery counter (at least not that I’ve seen), it’s better than having it suddenly stop dead in its tracks. Pros: effortless connection to iPhone (in my case), lightweight, attractive, leather-appearing cover, slight magnetic closure preventing it from flopping open, ready to use as soon as it’s unfolded, then just fold when finished. Key action is smooth and feels solid. Quality commensurate with my OEM Logitech keyboard. Cons: Short learning curve with the key placement in my case. EDIT on 6/2/2018: After five weeks of my owning the keyboard, it developed a glitch in which several keys suddenly stopped functioning. I emailed Jelly Comb to advise them of the problem that I was having. Not only did they immediately send me a replacement keyboard, but they also paid for me to ship my original keyboard to them in China so that their tech lab could deconstruct the keyboard to figure out what had happened. They have already adjusted their process to prevent this from happening again, and the other takeaway message is that they expect their product to perform flawlessly. So you can too. :)

I love this little foldable Bluetooth keyboard. When I take it out from my electronics organizer bag that I bought before, it intrigues my colleagues' interest. It was paired well with Kindle Fire 8.0 HD and laptops, and even my Samsung galaxy 7 edge. This is small enough to keep in the bag with a charger and extra battery pack. The price is also very reasonable and affordable, too.

So far I'm loving this keyboard. I've been using my Asus Zenpad more and more but typing any significant amount of text with the touchscreen "keyboard" is a bit cumbersome. I finally ordered this keypad and I can now enter text at about the same rate as my laptop (there is a slight latency between hitting the key and the letter appearing on the screen, but hot bad) - just make sure you press the fn key and the Android key to set it up in that mode or the fn home/end functions (and probably some others) won't work. It's also lightweight and slim when folded meaning I can put it and the Zenpad in my Tumi clutch bag along with a pencil/pen, etc. I originally debated between this one and the one with the touchpad but got this one because it appeared to be thinner. So this, coupled with a capacitive stylus pen is "almost" as good as using a mouse or touchpad.

I am typing this review on this new keyboard. I just got it today, so these are first impressions: -Feels good to type on it; not cheap. Keystrokes are deep and comes across as a more expensive keyboard. -Connected immediately to my iPad. -Folded up size is comparable to my iPhone XR. -Nice fake leather texture when folded. I am taking this on a flight to Asia on Saturday so I will have lots of time to play with it. So far it’s great!

PROs - Pairs easily with my iPad; reconnects quickly when coming out of sleep mode - Highly portable - When folded, the keyboard is light and packs easily in any number of small pockets (in backpacks, purses, etc) - Keys feel great while typing; They are responsive and comfortable, and it’s pretty much as comfortable as using a regular-sized keyboard - Bluetooth connection is highly responsive; so far I haven’t experienced any lag CONS - Since the hinge runs right through the middle of the keyboard, some keys have a slightly awkward reach. But I’ve gotten used to it with more usage - Unlike a keyboard case, this can’t easily be used on your lap; it was designed to be laid on a flat surface - Although it doesn't feel cheap, this keyboard isn't designed to take a lot of punishment. It trades ruggedness for portability, so don't be careless with it I use this with my 9.7” iPad Pro. I have not tried using this with an Android or Windows device yet. Overall, this is a very convenient device. It's perfect if you are working on documents or emails while using either a tablet or mobile phone. Combined with a tablet, this keyboard presents a more portable option if you'd rather leave your laptop at home.

This keyboard is outstanding. I've purchase 4 different ones over the years to use with my tablet while traveling. I often have to fit all my possessions for extended trips into a single carry on. Size is everything on such trips. This is so far superior it is hard to explain. Compared to the others:, it folds up smaller and the key feel is better than any of them. I've had two that were bigger, yet the keys were too close together to touch type decently. This one fits my large hands very well. I haven't had it long enough to get a feel for it's battery life, yet. But based on some use, my tablet is the limiting factor. I wish this company made a matching bluetooth mouse, meaning much smaller than what they currently sell.

I take this on the road with me when I travel. At home I have (of course) a laptop computer that I use to teach my classes online at a community college. With this keyboard I no longer need to take my computer when I travel as the keyboard turns my Iphone 8 into a computer. I no longer need to take millions of cords with me when I travel. My electronic footprint in my suitcase is now much smaller. The keyboard connects very fast after it is paired and it has an elegant way of turning off(just shut the keyboard). And the price is very sweet!

Works well with my Kindle Fire HD8 even though this is the fourth time trying to submit this review. Think it is Fire Issue and Amazon at this point in time. Pros: Can type fast, Light, On when opened, off when closed, Textured exterior helps keep from slipping, broken English instructions work. Cons: Suspect may not be true Jelly Comb as missing packaging and marking on keyboard, who cares since it works. Can't replace battery and no manual switch for on off. Lacks trackpad, but this allows for bigger keys, plus I've tried other keyboards with trackpads and have found that they actually slow down your progress much of the time.

This is an outstanding product and the best foldable keyboard I’ve used so far. All of the other foldable keyboards suffer from two main issues: 1) they either are just too big, or 2) they’re so small that the keys are hard to press without making a ton of errors. This keyboard is close to full size. My only beef is with the Y key. It’s a bit smaller than any of the other keys and is a bit difficult to press. Just takes a little adjusting. But other than that, all of the other keys are fairly easy to reach. And the keys feel terrific as well. One of the best features is that the keyboard turns on automatically when you unfold it and presumably also turns off automatically when you fold it up for storage. Outstanding engineering.
