Fast shipping, great quality, exclusive
Shipped really fast, This is a Xmas gift for my daughter, she loved Nintendo DS and is a huge Pokémon fan . The console was packed very securely in a box and when you open it it is bubble wrapped in its original Nintendo DS box. I opened it to try everything out as it will be getting wrapped and put away for Xmas day, everything worked great and I myself fell in love with it! I recommend this product to any Nintendo DS lover or collector this is so unique as it is the whole system that is made of pickicu it’s not a case it’s actually custom so I think she is going to be very excited with this! Thank you for such a exclusive great console!

Cuteness that will make you gush!
The New Nintendo 2DS XL is a pretty sleek clamshell designed system in general that gives you the power of the New Nintendo 3DS XL system in a streamlined, affordable package without the 3D option (that effectively plays a huge library of games in 2D)... for those who are unable to utilize a 3D feature--like myself and/or one’s not terribly interested in said feature. Too bad that there wasn't a power cord created & included that resembled Pikachu's lightning bolt shaped tail though. With that being said, it’s my humble opinion that the Pikachu edition is hands-down the most adorably vibrant edition I've owned thus far (still own white/orange-traded in black/teal). It will be very difficult to contain your inner-child when handling this system & I’m confident that you won’t be disappointed!

Cute little 2DS!
So I recently bought this 2DS, of course right as Nintendo introduces a newer, cheaper Switch... Anyway, that hasn't stopped me from enjoying this 2DS. Technically, it's still the same as all the other 2DS', but with a different outer shell. I've owned (and extensively used) a 3DS XL, a New 3DS, and a New 3DS XL. I've not used any other 2DS'. So, this DS is a lot lighter, and in my opinion easier to hold, than all other 3DS editions. I'm not a huge fan of the bottom flap that covers the cartridge and SD card slot, but I suppose it's better for kids. (So they don't accidentally eject a game and lose it.) The stylus is A LOT shorter, too. Not telescopic, and even I found it difficult to use. (I have small hands.) I'm not sure if the camera lenses being exposed will be a negative in the long run. So far, mine are fine, but I'm also a lot more careful with this 2DS than most. I'd definitely recommend a case if you're getting this handheld for a kid. The lights all being on the front is different. Not bad, but not always easily visible either. The notification light is built into the hinge, I really do like that! The hinge feels really good, but I don't know if I trust this design. Again, I'm more careful than most and have had no issues, but I feel like a misplaced grain of sand could destroy it. (I don't live near a beach, and I would highly advise to NEVER use a DS at the beach. ) The top screen is also different from the other DS', opting for shiny black bars. I love how this looks! It looks a lot more modern and sleek. The speakers are now on the bottom though, because of the redesigned screen. They sound fine, as long as you're not accidentally covering them with your hands. Also, thank goodness this DS came with a charger in the box! In the past, Nintendo hasn't provided chargers with their 3DS', which was really cheap. Oh, and as an added bonus, the prongs fold down! Makes it easier (and safer) to carry around. Now, specifically on this 2DS. It's beautiful, and a definite eye-catcher! Bright and vibrant yellow, with brown accents. Pikachu's nose is raised, which looks really cute. The red cheeks are also ever so slightly raised. And one last little bonus I noticed after a couple of weeks: the tiny dotted nose and cute smile, are actually made of a soft type of rubber, instead of hard plastic. It's super cute. So basically: it's a 2DS XL, but the cuteness factor made it absolutely worth it, to me.

Great buy for collectors
I have collected both of the pokemon edition N2dsXLs (the Pokeball one and this one) as well as an N3dsXL and I must say this has to be my favorite of the three. I prefer the N2dsXL line because of the easy access to the microSD card and it's a bit cheaper without the 3D feature that few games take advantage of and few people really use. The N2dsXL series is known for having a loose top screen and It might be because I haven't had it as long as my Pokeball one but it is a lot stiffer and isn't as loose as the other. The one thing that kind of bothers me would be how far the nose sticks out making packing it into a small carrying case with a few other things a little more difficult. This 2ds is also easily homebrewable for those who want to. This 2ds is more for the collectors and not really for kids. The normal N2dsXL is probably better for young kids who tend to drop and scuff up devices, while this is something you'll want to keep pristine and have as a collector because of how different it is.

Cute & nicely made
I’m not a Pokémon fan but I really like this Nintendo. It’s cute & hard to misplace with its bright yellow case. And the case has a nice feel in the hand, not too slippery. Unlike some other reviewers, I don’t mind Picachu’s pointy nose at all. That being said, I don’t like some features of this model of DS. I don’t like the stubby stylus that doesn’t stay in its slot & gets lost. I also dislike the tiny on/off button, which is really hard to push. I have to use the corner of a fingernail & push hard.

Please Read! Important and this item is awesome!
When I say this Pikachu 2ds XL is awesome, I mean it. I been a die hard pokemon fan since 1995. This the handheld version of the Pikachu N64. When I opened this I was in awe because I love Pikachu. His face and cheeks are raised. Pro's- for adults and collectors in my opinion because you do not want to ruin this item nor the box. Con's- the 3ds or 2ds xls can be damaged easily by kids so for them I recommend highly the less expensive handheld non-flip version of the 2ds. If I could have afforded the new version I would have bought it. God bless Amazon for the price and Nintendo plus Pokemon for making this. I love you!!!! Also I recommend buying a phanie belt holster or a phanie pack for this if you get this because it's convenient and mom's n or dad's can hold their phones with it, games and charger. I included a photo as an example!

Convenience and Fun Wrapped in One
I wasn't expecting to get a 2DS XL with a fancy design, but I'm actually quite happy with the Pikachu face. The ease of use and weight of the device is perfect because I can carry it with me and whip it out when I'm just sitting around (like in a waiting room or in the car while someone else is driving). The battery lasts a while when it's not on the charger, with minimum play time, of course. There's a plethora of game options, but I choose to stick with games I played in the past or games with a link to something I'm familiar with, but the 2DS XL makes it fun to play all around. I don't have a problem with the size of the stylus, because really how big does it need to be? I hardly use it and when it's not in use, but I think I might need it later, it fits perfectly in my hand as I play. The pedometer function is cool, but I haven't explored much else of what comes built into the device. So if I'm in a game rut there's still something I can do with it. The highlight of this device that adds to its convenience is the ability to use Netflix and Hulu. I haven't watched anything yet, but it's nice to have another on-the-go device with the capability.

Awesome 2DS!
Bought this for my freshly 5 year old. It was a success and is used by all family members. We opened the box the night before his birthday to set it up and it had a full charge, ready to go! Easy setup, very straightforward. What’s really cool about this 2DS is Pikachu’s little nose and cheeks stand out. Very cool. Item came on time and in excellent condition WITH CHARGER.

Great system, very cute, and nice feel!
I have owned a number of 3DSs and 3DS XLs. This is my first 2DS, but it is by far my favorite now. From the moment I took it out of the box, I was very pleased with the feel and matte finish. It is lighter than my older 3DS XLs. I've added a couple of photos for comparison to the old Pikachu 3DS that came out a few years ago. To clarify, this 2DS XL is the one on the right in the photos. Just take note that on this 2DS, Pikachu's nose protrudes a little from the system to make a little bump. If you only have a small/form fitting case for other 2DS/3DSs, you'll have to get something that will have some space for the small bump. However that's really not hard to find at all and not really a con considering the plethora of cases out there. My only actual complaint: 1. The stylus that comes with it is very small. I always use a longer Nintendo stylus myself. But in case you were wondering, yes the stylus for this is small, perhaps ok for a child but not so much for an adult.

A real gem amongst handhelds!!
This New Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition is the best! From how his face is 3D textures on the top, to the colors chosen, and of course how easy it is to pick up and play on; you just can't go wrong with this model of 2DS XL!! I've already gotten many compliments on it with more than a few people wanting one of their own! It's just so unique from the rest, a real treasure to own especially if you are a collector!!
