Good alternative to rock salt

Worked quickly and know its better to use than rock salt.

Safe for Plants and Pets

This product does a good job of melting snow. It is best applied before the snow falls. I like that it does not harm plants or animals.

Thought I would be able to use during the recent snow/ice storm however my husband did most of the work and the rain did the rest. I did put some down as my husband was shoveling and the pellets are small so it looks like you would have to use a lot to cover a large area. Will try to remember to leave better feedback once I fully put it to use.

A little goes a long way

My first time using pellets - in the past, I've just done rock salt. Wow these things are effective! One handful spreads really far because they bounce across the pavement, and they melt the ice fast. Within 10-15 minutes, our walkway was clear. Very impressed and will be buying again!

Safe for Concrete

I ordered this because of the 96% Pure Calcium Chloride. I learned that regular snowmelt with lower concentrations of Calcium Chloride can destroy concrete over time. Therefore this product met the criteria. That being said, I also used it on my asphalt, but it's a bit expensive to use on a big area of asphalt, so I will buy less expensive ice melt for that. Either way, it's a great product. I could hear it working immediately like Rice Crispies cereal, "snap, crackle, pop."

FDC 96% pure calcium chloride snow & ice melt pellets - 15 lb. pail

This product came highly recommended by a family friend. It arrived by the projected date. Our weather started improving when the product arrived. However, we are looking forward to using this product. We may yet use it soon based on a recent weather forecast.

Mistake turned Awesome!

We purchased this product by accident as I meant to buy the Ice Pucks, but upon receiving we decided to use anyway. We had accumulated quite a bit of ice on our roof and needed to melt as quick as possible before we had it coming into the house as we had on a prior year and ended up with ceiling damage. Once we realized our mistake in ordering we decided to use anyway. We gathered a bunch of old socks filled with Ice Melt and laid every 1-2 feet on roof across ice dam. Within a day it was melting and within a week with the help of no snow it was completely gone. It was the best mistake we ever made!

This product works great. I used it on the driveway

This product works great. I used it on the driveway, sidewalk and even on the roof. I placed the product in a nylon stocking and tied a string to the end. I threw the stockings on the roof to stop ice dams. Worked much better than the roof tablets. The string made it easy to get the stockings off the roof and made sure they didn't get washed down the gutters.
