I love this backpack! I had bought another sling backpack but returned it because it felt bulky and wasn't comfortable on my shoulder. This backpack is the opposite, very comfortable to wear and love the rope sling. I like how the company has so many different color varieties. I think it will withstand a lot of wear and tear. I plan on taking it to a trip to Disney soon. Also - It does hold an iPhone 7 plus phone in a case in the bottom zipper pocket.
Updating my review to 5 star after my vacation. This ended up being the perfect Disney daypack. It had enough room for the essentials, but was small enough that I wasn't tempted to pack non-essentials (if you know what I mean). I found that I could carry on my left shoulder or crossbody, which gave me an option when one side wore out. I've now switched it to be my commuter tote. I can carry my lunch, a small knitting project, my iPod, Kindle and a water bottle very comfortably. And it fits easily on my shoulder with my regular purse. Colors seem to be staying, so far. Hope it stays bright and kicky for a good long time! ----------------------------- I'm going to give this a provisional 4 star rating, but it could go higher if it holds up well on vacation (which was the reason for purchase). The colors are really vibrant and happy. Seems to be very well-made and organized for convenience with a good number of pockets. I like the way it fits (but I'm a little taller for a woman (5'8") and it might be a little overwhelming on someone petite). Really like the rope strap; looks stylish and utilitarian at the same time - which I find fun.
I got this bag for my everyday bag/purse. So I’ll start off by saying that this bag really holds more than you would think by just looking at it. Upon arrival I was a little surprised that it wasn’t as big as I thought it would be, given that most reviewers use this as a diaper bag. However, once I started packing my items in it, I found i was able to carry a lot more in it than a traditional purse or even the Meru sling bag. In the largest compartment I carry my kindle, glass case, 8oz bottle of lotion, keys, phone charger (and sometimes a journal). On the other side, in the slightly smaller compartment, I carry travel tissues, a small pencil bag for my personal care and first aid kit, and a 2oz bottle of an on the go stain remover. In the bottom compartment on the front of the bag, I carry my checkbook, small coin purse/wallet, two pens, and my iPhone 6. In the top front compartment, I carry 1oz bottle of hand sanitizer, ear buds, pocket knife, and lip balm. Don’t let the size fool you. It is able to hold quite a bit without it being uncomfortable on your shoulder. I don’t think I can ever go back to a cross body or hobo purse. I even have quite a bit of space left over. The multiple compartments make everything organized and easy to find. I love it so much I even bought a second one, the polyester one since that one is water resistant and easy to clean. **NOTE: this bag CAN fit an 11” laptop and be zipped up. In my pics, you can see my 11” hp inside my kavu. It definitely can not hold anything larger.
This. Bag. Is. So. Handy. I originally saw it because a friend got one in place of a purse- I loved it but it wasn't until I was going on a trip to belize that I bought one. This bag has been useful for SO MANY things. Its GREAT for a trip! Need to stow away a sandwich, sunglasses, a wallet, spare shirt, snacks, sunscreen, and bugspray? No worries, it'll fit! And guess what? You'll remain hands free, it balances the weight way better than any purse- saving your shoulders, the multiple pockets keep your stuff organized, AND its cute! I also have a dog, you know what I take out when I'm hiking with her? You got it! This amazing bag. Because I can fit a water bottle, container for her to drink out of, treats, poo bags, bug spray, sunscreen, a camping towel, chapstick, my wallet, etc. I also like to use this bag when I'm going shopping, again, it keeps all the trinkets I need but also keeps my hands free. I could go on, but I won't. I will say that when i first bought it I sprayed it down with waterproof spray - I would highly recommend this for my fellow adventurers especially but also those less adventurous because at the least it'll make it easier to clean in the future. I will say, the lighter gray color I have does show some dirt, but, I haven't actually washed it since doing all the above mentioned (plus camping and such) activities so thats hardly any surprise. My point is, I would suggest a darker color but whatever you get expect to be happy!
So I might be in love I really love this and plan to use it as my daily purse. I have neck and shoulder issues so my rheumatologist recommended I wear a sling bag like this or a back pack. I so wanted something that looked relatively purse like, so this fit the bill. However be warned that it's not as big as some of the reviews might lead you to believe. I was apprehensive when I ordered it because I read reviews all over the internet and many of the reviews stated that it was too large to wear all the time, that it was being used for a Disney park trip, diaper bag, or one person who was 5'2" who stated that it was just far too large for a small person and looked ridiculous. Well I'm 4'9" and it's not ridiculous, it fits fine and certainly could be used daily. Further no way would it be serviceable for a Disney park or zoo trip in which I also planned to put my souvenirs inside (wtf? Several reviews I read said that, all my wuts, no you aren't fitting your wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle, snacks for your kids and your souvenirs in here, ain't happening). You could maybe use it as a diaper bag of you only need to get two diapers and wipes inside, but it's not going to hold a bottle, extra outfit etc in addition to a couple diapers, wipes and typical purse stuff, no way. But for me it's perfect. I love it already. If I still love it as much in awhile I'll get a second color. One thing I really like about it it's before I would have to swap all my stuff from my purse to a back pack of I wanted to go on a walk or a hike. Now I just take this, no swapping. One concern I have is sweat. I sweat a lot and there is no mesh on the back. Eventually I'm going to find out if this is washable I guess. Update: I cannot really use this in the winter. I live in a colder area and it really doesn't work well over a winter coat. I tried for awhile and eventually gave up. Oh well. Honestly it's also a bit of a pain to access when checking out, I have to unclip it to access it then I have to get it back on which isn't instant. Basically I'm back into a regular purse for now. This will definitely be used when going on outings where a purse would be a drag, but otherwise not for every day use.
I spent hours searching for a messenger type diaper bag and decided to give this a try. I love it! It holds everything I need, and sits comfortably across my back. It is so much easier than a big bulky purse diaper bag when I'm chasing my 3 year old! Because of the buckle, I can easily hook it to my stroller, too. The front pockets are small- I keep a pacifier and a mini hand sanitizer in those. My iPhone 5c can fit in the top pocket but it doesn't close. I usually just tuck it into one of the big pockets or my pants pocket instead. There are two interior pockets. One is large and the other is smallish. I keep my wallet in the small one, and cram the other one full of all my mom stuff. I only like to take the bare essentials, so if you are a "kitchen sink" type, you might want to stick to a giant purse. What I can fit: Pack of wipes 2-4 diapers 2 burp cloths Nursing cover Snacks Sippy cup A couple baby toys Keys, phone, wallet
This beats the old diaper bag any day of the week. I grab a diaper and a pack of wipes, still have another zipper pocket for my wallet and adult items and two outter pockets one Velcro I use for my keys and one zipper which fits my IPhone Max X perfectly so any smart phone in a case should have no problem fitting . I love that the strap is wide and unobstrusive , with a buckle so even if there isn’t a place to hang your purse you can loop it around and make sure it doesn’t hit the ground. I’m constantly surprised how much I love it and the price is very reasonable.
I am a long-time fan of Kavu since 2013. I am happy to say that I am still very impressed today with the Kavu Rope Bag. I bought my Kavu in the "Evergreen" color and am pleased! The front pocket is large enough to hold my cell phone and a few other items. I use the smaller top pocket for some medicine and lip balms. The overall size of the bag is great! I use mine to carry a book, a journal, my wallet, and fragrance mists. The second large pocket on the side is great for other smaller items. I love that the bag can be slung over to your front, and does not have to be taken off to access anything if you need it. I also own the Paxton pack. Both are great bags! I would say this is the best pack for hiking because I believe it can hold more items. The Paxton is great for everyday use and comes with a drink holder! Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
I love this backpack! I have 2 young children and needed a bag that wasn't too bulky and heavy but could still hold my essentials plus sippy cups, little toys and diapers. It's perfect for an active life style. I can wear it and still carry my toddler and groceries❤️ It's light, comfortable and seems durable. I got the "Out Foxed" pattern and I love it and I've gotten compliments on it already. I can't recommend this bag enough to moms with toddlers and older children.
Carried my wife’s KAVU sling at Disney and Universal in Orlando. Walked 20 miles in two days, I am an experienced hiker and I know a comfortable bag. I carried it loaded with stuff, through rain, heat, cold situations- it is bombproof. Even how the zippers zip upward on the bag shows real thought went into it. While standing in line to get on the Harry Potter ride at Universal, I ordered a black on for myself. There is even an elastic band that you put around the excess strap at the buckle to keep it from hanging down. Love it.
