Great colors for accents!

Felts VERY nicely! Great color variety and clean! My first felting project (shown), I used for the eyes, nose, tongue, black areas and paw pads.

Samplers of Colors-Perfect for Detail Work

This is a wonderful addition to any needle felter's arsenal-sample colors of around 60 or so-extremely high quality wool and felts easily. Absolutely perfect for small details such as mouths, ears, etc. Pros: 1. High quality wool-doesn't break easily and is soft to the touch 2. Enough wool in each sample for anything from very small detail work/shading to small parts of figures like limbs, ears, etc. 3. Incredible variety of consistent colors-every color of the rainbow included and some more shades in between 4. Fantastic packaging-samplers are neatly packaged in small individual resealable bags and collectively in a large resealable bag for easy access. Cons: None!

These bags of wool are probably smaller than you think,but go far

Brand new to felting, recieved this and thought the small bags of wool wouldn't go far...Boy was I wrong. Happily still haven't used up even one of them.(I did need to buy a large ball of roving wool for a base to build sculptures and not waste the colored wool) Anyhow...The colors are stunning AND if you card colors together with 2 carding brushes...or wire dog brushes...( or pile up and pull by hand to mix them) they can be combined to make many new colors. Who knew? Happy with my purchase and will purchase again.

Perfect for beginning felters!

This was the perfect starter bag for my mother, who's just getting into felting. She was excited about the large variety of color - at one point getting caught in a debate over which of two subtly different pinks would best suit her first "love bug" project - and while each little baggie only has a small amount of wool, it was just right for her. Mom has enough in each to work on a single small project, which is perfect for a beginner trying their hand, and when she moves onto more complex projects, she'll have an abundance of colors to use for variation and detail work. Some of the colors may seem similar in the picture, but in fact they're each slightly different, which is perfect for a picky crafter who wants to choose just the right one. (My mom took great joy in being picky with her love bug.) Overall, I found this to be a very worthwhile purchase, both for people looking to start out and for those who want a well-priced way of diversifying their color range. My mom is thrilled to have it. She's already proved that it works just as nicely as it looks!
