I love this, it is bright, adjustable and so much cheaper than the lamp it replaces. But the most important factor is the light bulb on the "other" lamp was a pronged slide in that when taking out would cut my hand on the bracket. This lamp uses a screw in LED bulb. Perfect, no blood letting.

Great lamp!

Perfect for it's intended purpose! I could never see the grill top on the grill I have on my patio when cooking at night. This light is at the perfect height to shine onto the grill as I'm cooking. Its bottom is heavy and won't tip over and looks like it will handle the weather on the covered, screened in patio where I am using it.

It works!

This has worked exceptionally well for my mother's chair. The base is heavy enough not to tilt, while small enough to tuck to the side. Assembly was easy - just pay attention to what you are doing. I like that the wire and switch as external, allowing easy access. Overall very pleased. BTW we use it with an LED bulb and it provides plenty of light.

Does the basics very well

This certainly is not a fancy floor lamp. It's a basic lamp that does its job very well. I have it set up in my living room where I work on my ebike, and it does a nice job of illuminating the dark spots in a dark corner. Yes, my living room is my bike shop. And this lamp works well.

Outstanding Design

I bought two of these lamps. When I first saw the lamp assembled I thought it might be too short, but not so. Perfect synching of high quality parts for 1-2-3 super-easy assembly. One of the very best purchases I've made on Amazon.

Nice lamp

Appearance: It's nothing fancy, but it does look good. Despite the very low price, it by no means looks cheap or flimsy. The gooseneck section seems to be zinc plated. The shaft of the stand, light cone and base feel like black powder-coat paint. Assembly: It ships in a surprisingly small package. Five pieces inside. Gooseneck/light, base, and three shaft sections. The three shaft sections are identical in length and threading, so you really can't mess it up. The on/off switch is on the power cord, which runs out of the bottom of the gooseneck section. No need to run it through the shaft. I use mine as a reading lamp. No bulb included. I put a LED bulb in it a does a great job. For price and function, I don't think you can do better.

Nice lamp

Nice basic floor lamp. The electrical is the best. The wire comes off 1/4 way down from the top of the lamp and goes to the floor. The light switch is clearly on that wire near the top. No more trying to thread the electrical wire through the whole stand and twisting it like crazy when you put the stand together. The on-off switch is clearly visible coming off the wire near the top of the lamp. I hate constantly having to look for how to turn on or off a floor or table lamp. No problem with this lamp. For the price it is a decent buy. I am happy with my purchase.

Fine lamp.

Its a fine lamp, metal shade is a plus, easy to assemble, compact cfls fit into the shade, light switch dangles from the stand, making it very easy to reach, (opposed to the floor or top of shades knobs), while possibly not as aesthetically pleasing. However, its the wrong lamp for us, we purchased based on a q/a that turns out not to match the lamp received. Be advised the length of the gooseneck is less than one foot, and further investigation of the q/a (from the seller) have the correct measurements. Back to the search for a long gooseneck lamp.

Perfect for small space

This wonderful little lamp is perfect for a space at the end of our couch where there is no room for a table. My husband uses this read by and look at his art books. We love it!
