Great tablet for drawing and playing osu. It feels just like drawing on paper yet better with the sensitivity levels. The size is also just right, not too big that I’m moving my whole arm, and not too small that I have to focus on my hand instead of drawing. For osu! you don’t even need the drivers, just plug and play (preferably on 3x sensitivity). Drawing feels and looks great on this tablet. I highly recommend, especially for this price.

This is exactly what I have been looking for to sign documents I generate. I appreciate that the pen does not need to be charged and the writing pad is spacious. It does take a bit of adjustment if you have never used this type of system but relative easy to grasp after familiarizing yourself with the pen functions. I'm not a graphic artist or even close but there are many apps that you can use that even my 6 year old can color or draw with. I bought it mainly to use with photos & documents and so far it works great. It's a tough little unit that works as described and the bonus 20 extra tips will give you long usage as you explore how many ways you can use it. Small & light weight and plugs in via USB cable right to any computer you want to use it on. Very pleased so far and once you start using it you will find that it's also fun!

Excellent for touching up photos in Photoshop. After looking at many tablets, I decided to go with this XP-Pen due to the price and size. I did not download the drivers, I am using it as is on Windows Vista and Photoshop 5 on a very old laptop with no issues. For me, it works the way I wanted it to without the need for additional drivers; however, the drivers are a download away if needed. The tablet has a sturdy feel and handles pressure well. The pen feels nice and is well balanced, but the buttons do get in the way for me. I have no use for the buttons, so I would much rater prefer a plain pen. The tablet itself needs to be kept away from magnetic devices. I wanted to use the tablet on top of my laptop, but some type of magnetic interference got in the way. It made the pen jump all over the place, so the only way I could get anything done was to keep the tablet in front of my laptop which makes my already small display even smaller. The area may be small, but it's perfect for touching up photos. I use aggressive pressure and really work a tablet when working in Photoshop. I did start to see some light marks, but the tablet and the very first tip held up through 2 of my projects. I'm so use to using a mouse after my last tablet stopped working that I forgot cool these gadgets can be. I probably won't need the extra tips, but it's nice to know I have them if I do. Oh, and if you're like me, wondering what that little metal thing is - it's to pull out the pen tip for replacement. I'm sure it will come in handy if I do not misplace it. All in all, for me, the XP-Pen StarG640 came in handy. I like everything about this tablet - great purchase - I'm very happy!

It is a good size and really lightweight. It comes with a lot of nib replacements for the stylus so I'll never have to worry about that. It's also really simple to install and update drivers for which I appreciate, and the control panel is very straightforward and allows you to view your pen pressure in real time for adjustments. My only qualm is sometimes I click the right click macro while using the stylus but I think that's in how I personally hold the pen - just be careful! Overall I love it and I can see myself getting years of use out of it.

Super easy to use, with a number of configurations available when you install the driver. Works okay without the driver (it's a pointer device by default), but the driver lets you assign functions to the 2 buttons and tip, as well as how to utilize your screen and use of Windows Ink. I'm not an artist, I just have the need from time to time to annotate screen snapshots, and doing that with a regular mouse is just plain gross looking. This lets me create legible handwritten notes. I have 3 monitors on my PC and I keep the pen set to just one of them, and to absolute mode. Makes it pretty easy to always know where the pointer/pen is at. I find that having a piece of paper on the surface of the tablet makes my pen strokes more stable and legible. I use graph paper so that I can make a more consistent shape. I suspect this will wear out my tips sooner, so I'm glad I bought this model as it comes with a lot of extras.

I replaced my Huion 1060 with the XP-Pen Start G640 because the former tablet has a bunch of buttons I don't use (I use my tablet at a desk, not in my lap) and was therefore clogging up my desk. I couldn't be happier; the new tablet works extremely well for the simple stuff I do with it (I'm not a professional with this device by any means), and now my desk feels much larger. I highly recommend this tablet for anyone that does not know for a fact they need a much larger one.

<<>>-PROS-<<>> Size: Perfect. Akin to the smallest Canson XL sketchbook, but the active area is a bit smaller. I've used the Huion H420 and a gigantic 12x9 inch Monoprice tablet, both of which were uncomfortable to use. This one is ideally medium-sized. It's super thin, resulting in top-tier portability, but this topic will come up again in a few. Pen: Really light, battery-less, pressure sensitivity well above it's price, and a sizable lift-off distance for hovering, at the tolerable cost of being a bit thin for my 18.3cm by 10cm caveman hands. Design & Pack-Ins: Very sleek and modern, giving the impression of being more expensive than it is. Uses a standard Micro USB cable. The one it comes with has a velcro strip attached for easy storage. Comes with 20 replacement pen nibs. Drivers: hawku's TabletDriver is an open-source driver that has a great GUI, less latency, and added functionality. It has three modes, Absolute (osu!), Relative (mouse), and Windows Ink (the only mode with pressure sensitivity). I wouldn't bother with the stock drivers unless you're too lazy to quickly Google this one. Make sure to disable Windows' "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service" as long as you don't require the on-screen keyboard. <<>>-CONS-<<>> Fingerprints: Get your microfiber cloth ready. Even if you wash your hands with neurotic frequency, I promise you, there will be smudges. Durability: XP-Pen don't lie when they call something ultra-thin. This thing probably won't hold up well to drops if you plan on carrying it around. The nice finish apparently wears off after heavy and/or continued usage, but this doesn't seem to affect the functionality, just the texture. You can extend the tablet's life by not drawing/dragging so heavily, getting a cover or protector, and just being careful. I read earlier that some osu! players will even put their mouse pad on top of the tablet before loading up a song. The buttons on the pen have a little bit of rattle, but it's negligible, especially considering that most sane people don't swing their writing utensils around like Light Yagami. <<>>-SUMMARY & THOUGHTS-<<>> You'll get your money's worth out of the StarG640 in no time at all. It's hard to find *any* good game peripherals for $30 these days, let alone one that doubles as both a mouse replacement AND a specialized input device for use in digital art workstations like Photoshop, GIMP, Clip Studio, Krita, SAI, Medibang, FireAlpaca, and every other program that an artist reading this could be sad that I forgot to mention. For just a bit more money than other commonly-recommended budget tablets, I think the larger active area and battery-less pen set this tablet tiers above, especially if you're going to treat it right and keep it safe.

This is a very good tablet every since I got it I have been playing osu with it and ever since then I have improved so much at the game the only thing I am worried about is when I play osu I have the pen tip touching the tablet so there are a bunch of scratch marks in the middle of the tablet I am afraid of it ruining the sensors in the tablet but I have not experienced any problems so far i really reccomend that you buy this. It is a very good size and is not too small and is not too big it is very high-quality and I am so glad that I bought it it comes with a lot of pen tips and a pen tip remover which is very useful because I have a lot of pressure on the tablet when I play osu if the pen tip breaks I can easily get a new one on. I really enjoyed my experience with it. Also the drivers aren’t complicated at all it is very easy to use first sight.

I wasn’t sure a digital stylus and tablet at this price point would be that good, but I was wrong! It works great! At first, I was having an issue using with the pencil tool in Adobe Illustrator, but I called tech support, spoke to an actual human being, and my problem was resolved. Kudos to the company for providing a high level of customer service!

I bought this as I was recommended this tablet to play with for osu! This is coming from using the Huion 420 tablet prevoiusly. I remember seeing this as an option when I was joining the tablet scene coming from being a mouse player, but ended up getting the more reviewed Huion 420. Wish I ended up getting this at the start as this doesn't require 1x AAA battery for the pen unlike my Huion 420 did which caused it to feel awkward, especially during spins, has good traction distance for hover players, and the side buttons doesn't interrupt with gameplay like my previous tablet did. Basically everything about this tablet is pretty much better than the Huion 420. Plus, drivers are better, you get more space, and the build quality is definitely there. It also costs the same as the Huion 420, but with more surface space. The ones with the same surface space the G430's are even cheaper than the Huion 420 if you're looking for the more compact sized one. I believe this one is perfect though. Even though this has bigger surface area, it's still compact enough to take along with you, plus it's very thin in width as well. I only use this to play osu! so not sure of the capabilities for it in that degree, but I'm sure it does such well as XP-Pen has a good reputation in that field. For anyone trying to swap to being a tablet player for the best money can buy at a fraction of the price, highly recommend this tablet!
