- VENTED GLASS: This 8” & 11” microwavable lid set allows coverage for most plates and shallow bowls. Our vented glass technology allows the steam to keep rolling, enabling your food to stay moist.
- CLEAN & DURABLE: Cuchina is made from tough borosilicate glass, a less toxic alternative to plastic. This glass won’t absorb smells or bacteria like plastic and silicone. Oven safe (up 450 degrees) and dishwasher safe.
- PRACTICAL: Steam, reheat, cook and retain nutrients with our patented flat design. A built in splatter guard helps to keep appliances and countertops clean.
- CUCHINA SAFE: Our products are the non-toxic alternative to plastic lids, wraps and paper towels commonly used in microwave cooking. Breast cancer survivor Susan Castriota’s innovative design will change the way we microwave! It’s time to throw away those nasty plastic lids and plastic wraps for a healthier glass alternative.
- SINGLE-PACK: Cuchina Safe’s durable lids are a safer alternative and handy kitchen multi-taskers, too—and we think that makes them a double good idea.

Great product
Great quality product. We try to use as little plastic as we can in the microwave and needed something to cover our food to cut down on the splatter. We normally would use paper plates or paper towels to cover our food, but it gets really wasteful. There isn't much out there for glass microwave covers, but I am glad we found this! It works like a charm. It is a little heavy, but that's not a problem for us. So glad we found this!

Fabulous!
This is great! I've wanted a glass steamer for a long time and this works nicely. It can be used a microwave cooking vessel with Cuchina Safe lids or as a plate cover. I have not tried it in a regular oven, only the microwave. I wish it were a little deeper, but otherwise am extremely happy with it.

TERRIFIC product!
TERRIFIC product!!! I have used the product for several weeks and needless to say I am very happy with my purchase & would highly recommend them. I have searched a long time for a "vented", glass microwave food cover & finally found it with the Cuchina Safe lids. Two thumbs up! The lids are extremely durable, easy to clean, foods cooks evenly and they're multi-functional. Similar products I researched or used had some part of their product made with chemicals that leach into foods when heated. I try to reduce harmful chemicals from my life as much as possible. I was fortunate to receive CS's COVER 'n COOK Microwave Plate Cover as a gift and found it works great for heating as well as preparing food in the lid when you turn it over and use as a covered cooking dish. Definite quality products overall.

Vented -- No Soggy Food!
So far this has been great. I love the fact that it is vented to keep the food from getting soggy, even though the inside does collect some condensation. I suppose it would be helpful if it had a handle, but since I only warm things, not cook them, this is fine for now. It's not usually in the microwave long enough for the glass to get very hot anyway. I just pick it up carefully by the cooler outer rim. Glass is very substantial, but not heavy enough to cause a problem -- even for most healthy older people, I think. Haven't encountered any problems, and I've been using it pretty much daily for the last couple of weeks.

Easy to clean
These are easy to clean, often just needing a rinse. The plastic cover I used to use required scrubbing and was often left with stains. These fit my various pots and microwaveable bowls. Besides easy cleaning, it's nice to know I am not being exposed to additional chemicals from plastics.

Much better than other covers on the market
I switched to glass covers, not liking to use plastic in the microwave. The other glass covers on the market are thin glass and the edges chip easily. Numerous times, I accidentally banged one against the microwave door and had to toss my food because of glass chards that came off of it. I finally replaced it with this and love how the glass is pyrex-ware thick snd strong. It feels like it would last forever like most pyrex glass dishes. In addition to being a superb lid, you can reverse it and use it as a dish. The lip is wide and strong which makes it easy to pick up. The curved edges allow air to circulate without splattring. I highly recommend this over the other glass covers on the market. Go with it frim the beginning and never have to buy another one.

Nice glass microwave lid
I was looking for a glass lid so I could stop using my plastic one. After buying and returning one that turned out to be mostly silicone, I decided to try this one and I'm glad I did. Easy to use and clean and no plastic or silicone anywhere! It seems sturdy and does have weight to it. I use it carefully but it's worth not having any plastic touch my food. The shape of the cover on the bottom works well for venting. It's nice that it can also be used for a baking dish. I plan on buying one or two of their lids to use in the microwave, as well.

Heating made easy. No mess in microwave to clean up. Dishwasher safe.
I saw the woman who invented these on a business TV show. I liked her passion story. And it turns out all her research and persistence pays off for users! No more wasting money on paper towels or plastic wrap, the latter which isn't great for the healthy of heating food. I specifically bought these because they're made of borosilicate glass—which is now hard to find!—a great material for daily use items. Glad I finally pulled the trigger. They're worth the price.

It is very stable even when the microwave platter is spinning and I can easily put a plate or other vessel on top of ...
I threw out all the plastic covers I was using in the microwave shuddering at the thought that I did not realize they were leaching contaminants into my food. I eat a lot of soup and the Cucina Safe Lid has been put into use extensively for that purpose. Since I use it almost daily, I found that the handiest thing for me to do was to clean and dry it and then just leave it in the microwave for the next use. It is very stable even when the microwave platter is spinning and I can easily put a plate or other vessel on top of it without fear of anything tipping or spilling over.

More useful than I anticipated.
I have a collection of glass bowls that often go in the microwave, which however have plastic lids. This fits them all. No plastic vapors in my food. Happy.
