These are NOTICEABLY better than the AmazonBasics USB-Powered Computer Speakers; these have much better clarity and bass. While standalone, electrically powered speakers will always sound even better than USB powered speakers, I opt for these for the sake of convenience. So far these are the best USB powered speakers I have ever used, much better than the AmazonBasics and Logitech USB Powered Speakers, and they're at such a great value too. They do begin to rattle a bit when the volume is near maximum with loud, bassy sound, but the rattle still isn't as bad as the speakers they are replacing. I think it might be due to the thin rubber around the part where the sound actually comes out of--something that could be improved on in a second-gen model.

These speakers came recommended on a couple blogs, but I was skeptical of anything USB powered, and was nearly certain I'd want something with a subwoofer. After giving it some thought, I decided these speakers were cheap enough and portable, so I could easily put them to use somewhere else, if they didn't live up to my unreasonable standards for word processing background music and the occasional webinar. These speakers are remarkably well balanced - and provide an incredible amount of clarity at their softest (which is much quieter than other speakers at this price point) and loudest (no distortion, granted, I haven't had much reason to test their upper limits). The bass is perfect at close proximity. It sounds much more treble at a distance, but the speakers are obviously oriented to serve one pair of ears sitting near the source - and they do that marvelously.

for the price, you get a great value. These are not speakers I would recommend for a conference room or warehouse since they don't have THAT much power to cover a larger room. I got these for my small office setup. First impressions, I am thrilled the quality is excellent for confined areas, your cubical will love these. These are not aggressive on the low end due to the passive low-frequency speakers. You DO get to hear the thumping on low end just not enough to start an office party. The form factor is also excellent for the price for sound comparison with other speakers on Amazon. The build quality is a sturdy solid plastic shell with the driver being exposed be careful setting these up around active areas. IF you have a desktop sitting on the floor the cable lenth is going to be an issue. These cable are short. Which is great for my setup but I could see how it would conflict with larger computer cases. The USB can be connected to any 2-5w phone carger to energize the speakers or use the USB directly from the computer or hub. I have also tried using these on my OnePlus6, power using an OTG type c to usb A and powered the speakers along with the headphone port for sound. Long story short, if you are looking for a good quality low footprint speaker set for you office, you're good with the creative pebble.

I needed some short speakers for my computer. I wanted some that looked stylish and different. They were a little larger than I thought they would be, but I think they would look strange if they were any smaller! ! I was going to get black because I wasn't sure if white would look very good but I decided to try it anyways and I'm so glad I did! They look amazing and sound great. They're just perfect for my small computer table. A huge deciding factor for me was the fact that it has a volume dial on the speaker itself, rather than on the cord.

My requirement for these speakers was to have something that sounded decent, looked good, but in the same token, I wasn't looking for earth-shattering volume and sound because I have 2 home entertainment systems and audiophile Bluetooth headsets that can do that. With that said, these speakers have a great sound field, the radiators provide credible bass, treble and mids are clear and they have more than enough volume for you go "yo! that's my jam" and you kick up the volume. These are plugged into my Realtek Audio HD built-in sound. These are replacing bigger and bulkier Bose desktop speakers and for the price simply can't be beaten.

I bought these speakers to replace my Logitech Z130 set, which developed a coil whine and occasional popping. I considered speakers anywhere from $25 to $100 but eventually settled on the Creative Pebble, and I'm glad I did. Obviously, these are not audiophile speakers or a 2.1 setup, so you shouldn't even be reading this review if you want those. For the price I don't think these can be beat. I'm going to get the most important thing out of the way, and that is probably the bass. Most 2.0 PC speakers, especially in this range, sound tinny or are missing quite a bit on the low end. My old Logitech Z130 sounded 'eh' listening to music, and when playing games explosions were quite lacking. The Creative speakers do not have those problems. I'm not exaggerating to say that when listening to music and playing games I can feel vibrations through my desk, something my old speakers could never hope to do. You can see the passive radiators on the back thumping as well. These will not ever have the sound coming from a 2.1 system, so if you want the most bass and/or volume, you should look at 2.1 systems or larger bookshelf speakers. For what these speakers are, though, the bass is surprising. Sound overall is very clear. If I'm playing a non-competitive game, I like to not even bother with headphones and let the speakers do the work. For casual gaming and listening to music, these sound nice! I should add that I had to change the equalizer settings to get the most out of the bass. My PC motherboard uses Realtek onboard audio for the sound. I went into the Realtek software and changed the equalizer to 'Club' and that created a much fuller sound. The 'Live' setting also works well. The speakers sound OK at default but to get the most out of them you'll have to find a setting you like or play around with an equalizer yourself. All the cables (speaker to speaker, USB, and 3.5mm audio plug) are 1.2 meters (~4 feet) long. You shouldn't have any problems with a traditional setup. The speakers are quite small and work well on my limited space desktop. I like that they are USB powered because I can turn off my PC and the speakers will turn off with it. I had to go into my BIOS and 'Enable ErP' for this to work. I would prefer having a separate on/off switch instead of on/volume but this will work instead. There are some potential cons but they didn't affect my review because I use these as PC only. The first con is there is no separate line-in jack on the speakers, so you can't connect your phone or another device to them. The second is that there is no headphone line-out jack either, so you can't connect headphones. Also, the audio indicator on the speaker knob is the same color as the rest of the speaker, so you'll have no idea what your volume level is in low light. There are other speakers in this price range that have solutions for all the cons listed (Logitech Z200 comes to mind), so I'm just throwing that out there. I would say if you're looking for 2.0 speakers up to $50-60 or so, the Creative Pebble should be high your list. Anything around $70-100 and you should check out Creative's T20, Logitech MX Sound, bookshelf speakers from Edifier/Mackie/Presonus, or even Bose. And if you are thinking of 2.1 systems, you have a massive list to choose from. But for casually listening to music, Youtube, or playing games without disturbing everyone around you, the Creative Pebble 2.0 speakers are hard to beat at this price!

I wanted a low cost option for my desktop, but also wanted decent quality sound. I wasn't expecting any hi-fidelity for the price point, but I wasn't going to settle for crap either. At first I was looking at 2.1 speakers with a dedicated subwoofer to get a good range of sound, but every system under $50 that I could listen to were terrible. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. So I decided to forgo the crappy subwoofer and go for an above average 2.0 system vs a subaverage 2.1 system. These Pebble speakers were exactly what I needed. The sound is surprisingly rich, full, and relatively loud for the little speakers. There's also minimal distortion at low to moderately high volumes. At max volume, the speakers act as expected and induce a grimace. The bass isn't chest pounding, but audible and discernable and are well balanced at moderate levels, and sound much better than some of the 2.1 systems with subwoofers that I listed to prior to buying these. For reference, I have a JBL Flip bluetooth portable speaker, and these Pebble speakers sound about the same as those. The speakers are the size of a softball. They don't take up a lot of room on the desk and are definitely more aesthetically pleasing than the majority of speaker systems out there for the same price. The on/off/volume dial on the speaker is actually quite convenient compared to using my mouse to adjust the volume via software. I have the computer set at 75% volume, and use the volume dial on the speaker to adjust. There's no grill over the speakers so they are exposed, but shouldn't be an issue for most people. I have the speakers in a room 12 ft x 10 ft and it fills the room well with good sound. If I want audiophile quality sound, I'll put on my headphones or head to the living room and turn on the dedicated stereo, but for low cost speakers for listening to Pandora while working on my computer or watching a YouTube video, these are just what I wanted.

needed new speakers for my office, Saw a review on PCMag about these and gave them a shot, really glad I did. Will these bump and rattle the walls? no, will they crank to 115 db? no. But an even extremely low and moderate volumes they sound great - they capture all the frequencies including the low end and are amazingly articulate for a $25 speaker. These way outperformed my expectations and fit the bill perfectly, for an office type setting the angle of the speaker also helps give you the sound you want with the ability to keep volume lower to not bother others. Very impressed for size and cost. Wouldn't recommend for gaming or if you want bass you can feel

Beats out all the competitors in the price range. I saw a review citing it as the best cheap speaker over others that cost a fair bit more, so I decided to give it a try when it was restocked. I'm very glad I did. I saved money, got an unexpectedly well-performing sound system, as well as an aesthetically pleasing one. For small rooms, the volume is more than loud enough just below medium capacity. If you turn the volume up more than that, it can go up really loud. Like make your neighbors pissed off loud. Sound is rich enough that I can enjoy music as well as audiobooks. Mid to high range is quite good. Of course given there's no subwoofer, the bass isn't spectacular, but that's to be expected. The speakers look like the Zen garden pebbles they're named after and are very nice to look at. I got the white ones, which have rose gold accents in the center and look classy. They're also fairly small, which is great considering how small my desk is.

These Pebble speakers are tremendous. I'm no audiophile but I know enough that these speakers produce great sound. And at the price point offered you can't go wrong with them. There is no distortion at loud settings and the bass is actually quite good. The overall quality of sound highlights both high and low midpoints very well. I mainly use them to listen to YouTube music videos but also us them continuously for all purposes. The only negative that I have read is that it may be hard to use these speakers if you are traveling. And there is no protective "screen" over the speakers themselves. But these are minor points. For one, they are not meant to be used for traveling, they are desktop speakers. And with proper handling the speakers protective "screen" being missing is not an issue if you are careful with them. Overall, these Pebble speakers are awesome and highly recommended!
