I was holding off on writing a review until I was able to fully test out these boots. Well, that time came today. I stepped in a puddle that turned out to be over my ankle, and not 1 drop got into my boot! And, I was standing in it for at least 10 seconds until I could find a dry spot to plant my other foot. I've been wearing these through the snow and rain, and they've been pretty good, not great on ice, but that's what ice trekkers are for. But to be waterproof while submerged in 4" deep water? Amazing in my opinion! They take a few days to break in and wear comfortably, but needless to say. I will be buying another pair of these boots when these wear out! I just hope they still make them. Buy with confidence. High quality boots.

I love these boots. They lasted me 7 months before the soles wore smooth about average for me. No tearing or delamination of the sole. Just bought my 2nd pair and did a 13 mile hike strait out of the box. Every other boot I've had in the past has destroyed my feet attempting such a feat. I'll be buying another pair in 7 months....

For a casual hiker (and someone who just found out he inherited a bleep-load of forest), these are terrific. They're light weight, well put together, and the treads are disturbingly 'catchy.' They're hiking boots, not work boots, so they probably won't handle a hunk of rebar being dropped on 'em, but on the other hand they weight a lot less -- so it's easier to run from bears. One note on size: I'm a 12-1/2 wide (in US size), so I ordered the 13 wide version. They fit perfectly, which tells me they run a teeny bit small. I'd order a half-size up and wear thicker socks if necessary.

Let me start by saying; I don't usually write reviews because most products fall short of my expectations...so this should tell you it's a big deal. I love these boots...very light, comfortable, well made and after wearing them only one day...i knew this is the best boot I've ever worn in my adult life. I had sealed these boots with mink oil (as recommended), and nothing is touching them; no water, no dirt no motor oils etc....Do yourself a favor and get these boots if you work on your feet daily as I do, that's right I said WORK. These boots are said to be hiking boots, I say these are hiking/every day work boots...men who are up on their feet all day....get these boots, seal them with mink oil and fear no more water, snow or anything else.

These boots are fantastic. The fit was spot on, and they were already water-proofed. I hiked a day after purchasing them, and I have had casual work shoes that were more difficult to break in than these. I hiked about 5 miles, in and out of water, and until I actually fell knee deep, my feet stayed completely dry. After my hike, they were covered in trail dust which turned to mud from getting dunked several times. After getting home, I simply rinsed them off and dried them with a towel, and a day later wore them to the office. They look and feel great. A lot of arch support. I did purchase shoe grease, but these really don't need it yet. I did notice that they made my feet really hot and yes I got a fierce itch. Put on some antifungal cream and nipped that in the bud immediately. But, yeah feet get hot but not sure this is any fault whatsoever with the shoe because if there was ventilation then these wouldn't be waterproof hiking boots! I would purchase these again with confidence. The tread was excellent on wet rocks, and anytime I fell it was due to my lack of balance and not these great shoes. I'm also looking into sandals and other gear from the same company. The price can't be beat for the quality. I don't offer 5 star reviews all that often. Also, I was not paid or given a free pair for my review. I really am gearing up and hiking more and more, but I might get a pair for work just because they look so great.

My husband ordered these for a trip to Oregon. Figured he needed something waterproof yet good to walk around and hike in. We also went to Mt Hood to play in the snow (about 6"). He was the only one in our group to keep dry feet so they definitely work! He also said they were pretty comfortable and he has a few foot issues. He ordered his normal size and they fit fine. Also worked well on the wet, slippery paths along the coast and all.

I bought these boots because in summer, I broke my leg. I convalesced for months, with an eye to the next winter. I spent a couple of weeks reviewing waterproof boots that came in my (10 1/2 wide) size. As far as defensive footwear goes for the winter of 2018/ 2019, I over-compensated. No one could have predicted that. BUT I've been wearing these since the freak November 2018 northeast US storm where 'a few inches' turned into 8-10 inches and almost shut down a state that really should have known better. At first, they were stiff. That was expected, but was only a minor problem because I had a plate in my leg almost perfectly aligned to the top of my boot. At first, my solution was to not lace up the very top 'quick release' catches. I'm sure there's a name for them, but I don't know what it is. There are 4 lace channels at the top that aren't completely circular grommets. However, after the third day of wear, I started lacing them all the way up. It's been over a month that I've been wearing these every day. They're pretty well broken in, and for someone recovering from a broken tibia, these offer a sense of security. They're so solid, and stable. They're comfortable to walk in, I may make these year round (I make that joke a lot. I probably won't, but I could, if I wanted to). It's kind of funny, when I step out of the first boot, I suddenly feel like my left leg is suddenly shorter than my right leg. Like, the drop for my foot to contact the floor feels like about an inch lower than I expected. I don't mind it, it's just kind of funny. I haven't waded through a creek or a river to test out the water-proofedness. I've been through rain, and puddles, and my feet are completely dry. They have never felt too hot and sweaty, but bear in mind, I have an office job and I'm making sure not to run any marathons for a little bit. Your mileage may vary, but my feet have never felt stifled or suffocated for air. The fit was exactly as I expected, and I'm glad about that. 10 1/2 wide was, indeed, wide. My left foot STILL has swelling (can happen up to 6 months post-op). With a little loosening of the laces on the left boot, the shoe fits insanely well. The right foot fit well with no limitations, fully and tightly lacing, and that foot had no problems! For an office worker who is recovering from a broken leg and has used the shoes to shovel once but otherwise walks through rain and puddles, these boots are the shiz. They get comfortable quickly, feet are dry and comfortably warm. I count this purchase as a total utter win.

There is nothing I can say bad about these boots, they were cheap. I work outdoors and bought these as a lighter option from the standard work boot. I walk many miles each day through different terrain for at least 12hrs a day with no trouble. This boat is as light as a sneaker and durable, I have had these boots almost completely submerged in water multiple times in the cold with with no leaks which is a huge relief for a boat of this size and cost. I will be a future customer

I bought these to replace some excellent Columbia Dillon Ridge size 13 boots that I wore several times a year in the winter time for the last 10 years. They are still in great shape, but I now my need a size 15 for toe space, so I gave them to my son. Because of the minimal use, I was looking for a decent quality boot that didn't break the bank. (I picked up my last pair on clearance for under $30). I spent quite a bit of time looking at both used and new boots and, to my surprise, the size I need dropped $20 on Amazon but only in this color, oddly named Silver Sage. I was a bit hesitant about this color which is, basically, khaki green, but when I received them, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the color looks much better in person than in the pictures. I have been adding Spenco Polysorb Arch Support insoles to all of my shoes and, once I replaced the basic insoles in these with the Spenco insoles and put them on, it felt as though they were my old trusty Dillon Ridge boots only without the toe pain. Wearing them around confirmed that they will do the job well.

I was a little worried when buying this because I was worried the boot would be too small. (I'm a size 12) However, they fit as expected and are really comfortable. They didn't even need to be broken in! I live in southern Florida, there really isn't much hiking to do around here as almost all of Florida is pretty flat and it's always warm or hot, I bought these for everyday wear, style, and so that my feet would stop getting soaked during Florida's bipolar weather, so far they have not failed me. They are warm, but not uncomfortable, but they are not that breathable. I wore my Asics running shoes and these boots during a full work day and didn't feel much difference.
