Very happy with my purchase. Yes there are limitations when compared to a high end PC unit (graphics and 3DoF controller) but if you buy knowing this you won’t be disappointed. Far better than Oculus Go, but if your willing to wait 6+ months save up for the Quest this spring. I purchased with the anticipation that google already has a 6DoF dual controller prototype update in the works now which will probly hit the market around the same time the quest does which will make the mirage solo even better! My only complaints are: *included earbuds feel a little cheap, headphones will work best so plan on spending a little extra for that. *no wrist strap/lanyard included for the controller which sounds minor but would have been nice to have and at hardly any cost to throw one in the box. *the foam face padding around the edges has already started falling off at the top where your forehead rests (3 days of use and had to glue it back in place) *both headset and controller recharge using a usb type-C plug in but only one cable and adapter are included so unless you go buy another one you cannot charge BOTH headset and controller at the same time *needs more software support, not very many games/apps to choose from and what they do have available all costs money not a lot of free stuff. Although what is there is very good quality and still entertaining

This is awesome...I love watching Netflix on this, and now that Chrome is supported my options are limitless. The kids really enjoy playing games like the snowball game. I didn't think this would fit my son's head (who is 10), but it fit with no issues. They actually enjoy the google exhibition app and learning about different places.

they are amazing and i dont get motion sickness

This headset has become my favorite retro gaming device with one update! Official beta support for 2d apps has been added you can browse the 2d play store, download almost any app, change the orientation of the app, resize it, and reposition it. I installed Retroarch with mame 2003, paired an Xbox one controller, and was playing the arcade versions of mortal kombat on a massive screen! Downloaded fps and played psx games in opengl, true widescreen, high res textures, and everything! Also it's great at media watching. Although because it has an sd card you can load it with roms and relive your childhood! Way better than the Go for me now!

This is a great VR headset. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and really comfortable to wear. Connecting to your Google photos account and exploring is a great way to relive trips of the past, while the downloadable apps are great way to explore the future.

So I bought this on treasure truck while visiting LA...the whole thing is very interesting. At first I was thinking why do I really need it. Then during the demo there, the guy said that Netflix works and now you have your own private theater! I used it to watch Netflix and YouTube. Really good experience....but the main thing is that the headset is comfortable to wear for long period. There are tons of apps....and I like that I can watch my photos and videos even the VR ones in this headset. Finally VR for the non techies...easy to use... no PC or phone needed as well. One minor thing...the headset that is included needs to be longer and the plug needs to be white not black.

I bought this perfect piece of electronical magic from this wonderful website The Lenovo Mirage Solo Standalone is completely awesome & a masterpiece of VR workmanship..thank you Amazon & Lenovo for have this product at a beautiful price & Lenovo for creating this masterpiece of wonderfulness...

This headset costs almost double its more popular competitor, Oculus Go, but the reason for this extra cost is whats known as 6DOF - Six Degrees of Freedom. That means you can walk around a bit within the virtual space, look around corners, and peer over the edge of a building with full 3D parallax shift. It's a striking effect that makes a big difference compared to the Oculus Go which does not have the 6DOF technology. If only Google-Daydream would invest in more content. Blade Runner: Revelations is free with purchase of the Lenovo headset and that game alone is worth the price of the unit. If they has more titles like Blade Runner, this would be a must-have headset. We shall see what the future brings as it relates to Virtual Reality but for now this is a worthwhile purchase for those interested in exploring its potential.

I used Lenovo Mixed Reality headset before, but this product is far better than PC windows version! There's no eye strain whatsoever, no headache, nothing! Very comfortable, although after two hours of playing Blade Runner I needed a small break so my nose and forehead can get some rest. Also it was time ti charge, so.. I didn't notice any discrepancy with my virtual and real head movements even in the dim light of my dark room with a single dim light source. It was just as reliable as Oculus except you don't need base stations. Very, very good product, exceeded my expectations quite a bit! It still bugging me how they were able to deliver such a high quality real time 3D CGI with a mere snapdragon 835 - last year smartphone chip! I mean literally, most hardcore PC games prior to 2010 looked far worse. In Blade Runner you notice tiny details like water droplets on the windshield, pens and little items on desks, - so realistic! If someone told me before that this quality CGI is possible on mobile headset I wouldn't believe him. This headset is the first that I will actually use on a daily basis as opposed to PC tethered VR's or mobile VR's.

I've had my Mirage Solo for a couple of weeks now and overall I'm very satisfied with it and recommend it. I will focus on the device itself rather than specific apps since these are more subjective and vary in quality, though I will say that there are many good choices available. This is my second VR headset, I also have the Samsung Gear VR, so it is my baseline/comparison point. The packaging of the Mirage Solo is very good, as you would expect for high end electronics, and can be reused to store your headset when it not in use. Compared to the Gear VR, the Lenovo has many advantages. Comfort of the unit is good and the built in dial to adjust the fit is well made and easy to use. This is a big step up compared to basic Velcro straps on the Gear VR. The unit is front heavy but I never felt a need to stop the fun due to discomfort. Also, it is a fairly bulky device so it's more for home use than for portable entertainment, though I wouldn't feel safe being fully immersed in VR in public anyway. 6 degrees of freedom is a game changer and makes the Mirage so much more realistic than my old 4 dof Gear VR. Movements are much more natural and help you really get lost in the virtual world, which is the whole point, right? Being a standalone unit is also a huge plus compared to mobile phone powered headsets. Simply put it on and start playing versus multiple steps needed to hook up your phone. My old Gear VR would drain my phone's battery quickly and shut itself down at times because the phone got too hot and I would worry about damaging it. The Mirage Solo's battery life is very good, at around 3 hours you won't need to cut your session short. The handheld controller is well designed and intuitive to use. I like that you can swipe in addition to point and clicking. My old Gear VR only had buttons on the headset itself, no separate controller, so this is another huge improvement for me. One minor criticism is that the controller feels sort of cheap because it is very lightweight and basic plastic. Higher quality materials and some heft would help give it a higher end feel. The interface and menu system are well thought out and easy to navigate. If you can navigate a mobile phone then this will be a breeze. The built in Google Play store has many titles to select from and I like that the 6 dof worldsense enabled titles have thier own section instead of being mixed in with all others. The price is a little steep but the ease of use and quality of the product and overall experience means I will likely continue to use it regularly, so I feel like the cost per time being entertained is well worth it.
