- Attention: it can't be connected to the switch/splitter, only connect directly to the TV, monitor, projector
- Don't forget to go in the settings and change screen resolution from 480i to 480p. Some HDTVs do not support games at 240p/480i over HDMI: they only work through the composite A/V cords. If you switch the Wii to 480p mode they may work over HDMI

Excellent little gadget!
This little device is pretty great for the price. I was using composite cables with a converter box to hook up my Wii to my computer monitor (only has one HDMI port) before I bought this. I got this adapter in hopes to clean up the massive amounts of cords and plugs in my set up, and it worked! I was worried that this thing would be too large and heavy, and thus fall out of the console easily, but my fears have been put to rest. It is built sturdily (for the price) and it fits snugly in the console as to not flop around and fall out easy. It is fairly long, and sits about two inches out from the back of the console (I took a picture for reference), so make sure you have room around your Wii. It is definitely worth the money so far, as it allows the Wii to crawl its way into this new generation of only HDMI TVs . DO NOTE, however, that this device does not make your Wii look any better. The Wii is old hardware, and can only output at the 480 modes. What the seller means by "adapter to 720p or 1080p" is that the Wii will use those display modes and there will likely not be black bars on the side of your TV but the graphics will not be 720 or 1080 worthy. The Wii will look the best that Wii can with the adapter (which is very good), but do not expect it to look like the PS4 or X1, as the Wii is much older hardware.

Worth the upgrade!
Really amazing and works like wonder!! Installation is kinda scary at first since everything needed to be tight fit. You really need to insert the parts until you hear a snap. But after that, it's all sailing smooth! First of all, this does not upscale Wii and GameCube games to HD. It's just simply allowing it to be used on a HD TV. It still outputs 480p (or 480i depending on games) through HDMI input. Wii games by default outputs to 480p, so it looks and plays well. No input lag either, so it can be enjoyed as intended! GameCube games are mixed. Some GameCube games support progressive scanning mode which allows to be played in 480p. If the game does support progressive scanning mode, then it's as enjoyable as playing on an actual GameCube with no input lag! But if the game doesn't support progressive scanning mode, then it'll output in 480i, which is not good on HD TVs and will experience input lag. Other than some GameCube games compatibility issues, everything else is perfect! Games look good on a HD TV, and plays amazingly well! Worth the upgrade!

HDMI all the way!
I have a newer tv and only use HDMI. The set up is easy, just plug your HDMI cable one end to the tv and other to the converter! That's it..! My kids say the game looks more clear, but I honestly don't see any difference!

Old Wii with Modern HDMI - Works as Stated
I had no issues with this adapter. The video looks fine on my 55" 4K TV. Not exceptional but it is a Wii with only 480p output so I didn't expect much. The video is clear, the colors are true and the audio works well. It does make for a very long connection though. This was not an issue for me but if you don't have a lot of room behind your Wii then I suggest you get a swivel HDMI cable or 90 degree HDMI adapter to go with this. My audio system is connected to my TV with the TV's optical audio out via Toslink so I didn't need to use the 3.5mm audio jack and cannot offer any information on how well that works but the audio from the Wii to the TV (HDMI) and then to the audio system via the Toslink is working great.

Can finally play Wii again
Seems like newer TV's are getting rid of component/composite inputs so I haven't been able to play my Wii in quite a while. Figured I'd try this out since it's pretty cheap and it ended up working perfect. The instructions say not to hook it up to an HDMI splitter but I did anyways and it worked fine, also no need for the AUX port. No this thing won't give you 720p+ resolutions (Wii doesn't support it anyways) so don't go in expecting a whole new, sharper image. For the price you can't go wrong with this adapter, highly recommended if you only have HDMI ports

It works exactly as advertised
Exactly what I needed since my OLED doesn't have component inputs (stupid, beautiful, newfangled TV!). Of course the max resolution supported by Wii is only 480p which is less than half the resolution of Full HD so IT WILL LOOK LIKE GARBAGE ON A 4K TV but I'm not extremely picky so it works for me.

It did what I needed it to do.
I recently upgraded my AV system to 90% HDMI. The 10% hold-over was my old Wii console. I was forced to swap inputs on my monitor when going back and forth between the Wii and all of the other devices, which were HDMI. This little gem allowed me to keep the monitor on a single input and make all selections and adjustments through my receiver. A garbage pail full of AV cables has been replaced by three HDMI cables and a single optical audio cable (house sound). Of course I am not seeing World At War or Mario Brothers in high definition; that was not the goal. If I wanted that, I would have upgraded to WiiU. I purchased this device along with a $5 HDMI cable (a high-quality, expensive cable would have been wasteful). Installation was simple and the device worked flawlessly.

Works Fantastic
I bought this because I am running a youth event where we want to have a couple of Wii tournaments going but the project we have doesn’t have RCA/Composite hookups. Just tested it at home and it works great! As an added bonus it has a separate audio out jack so I can put the audio straight into the soundboard instead of having to fight with the HDMI to get the audio to try to play in the tiny projector speakers. If there is nothing hooked up in the audio jack the audio still comes through HDMI to the screen.

Picture looks good on high end TV/ Works perfectly
If you have a good TV then this adapter will work perfectly for you. The adapter when used to feed the video and audio to my plasma TV look very good. I can now use my Wii in 1080p and it is a very good experience. Your milage will vary if you are using a cheap TV. Obviously it’s just upscaled and not true 1080p, but if your TV is nice it will produce a very nice picture. There are no lines or fuzziness; just perfect video and sound. I did have to play around with the video settings in the Wii settings because I was getting a black screen for a while. I’m not sure what I did to fix it, but I just kept changing the settings until it worked.

Great Wii-to-HDMI Converter!
This works excellently for displaying output from the Nintento Wii game console on newer TVs which don't have the old-fashioned yellow-red-white inputs. The picture is excellent and it requires no additional electrical input like some other general converters not designed specifically for the Wii. This simply inserts in the back of the Wii in place of the original video/audio cable assembly, then any HDMI cable is needed to plug this into an available HDMI input on the TV set. And the price is very low for the excellent job that it does.
