I was experiencing problems with my Stihl FS45 grass trimmer starting and running. I decided to purchase this kit to replace the old carburetor and fuel lines as they were a few years old. The kit had everything I needed (as well as a few spares) for a fuel system rebuild. I removed the old carburetor, installed the new fuel line with a new filter, and reassembled the air filter housing. I then replaced the spark plug, filled the weed eater with fresh fuel, and it fired right up. After a few minor adjustments to the Hi/Lo carburetor screws, the weed eater is running better than ever.

This was a great replacement for my Stihl, FS45 trimmer. The has always been difficult to start since I bought it. Last week It was really difficult to start and when it did it did not run very well. So I decided to buy a new carburetor. I was looking on Amazon, and came across this carburetor, for $15.98 verses a Stihl, for 3 times the price. I had mixed feelings about ordering it based on some of the reviews. I also was a bit skeptical about it for all the parts the kit contained. I wondered what kind of quality could these parts have, and how could Huztl, make a profit. Because Amazon, has such a good return policy, if it did not work back it goes. It took me about 15 minutes to remove the old carburetor, and spark plug, and install the new one carburetor, and spark plug. The trimmer started on the second pull ran great and only need a minor adjustment to the idle speed. I began using it immediately. I used it continuously for two and a half hours. It ran better then when it was new. When I had to stop it to refuel it, it started immediately with one pull just holding it with one hand and pulling the starter with the other hand, with the old Stihl, carburetor to start it I had to put it on the ground hold it down and pull it multiple time to get it started and sometimes I had to use starter fluid. Even after it ran for a while it was still hard to start. I can not say enough on how well the Huztl carburetor work. I also have other Stihl, equipment and if they have starting problems I will certainly purchase another Huztl product. I would recommend this Carburetor, to anyone.

Originally I wrote my trimmer saw the new carburetor and started for me without me replacing it...Well that did not last. I installed the new kit, cleaned out the spark arrester in the muffler, put the trimmer back together...a few primer bulb pushes and the trimmer roared to life!!! Thank you..Thank you for a great product, packaging (it came with everything pictured), service and Youtube for tips on installation.

Up and running, Stihl FS46 maybe 10-15 years old. It was not an exact duplicate replacement (stock carb has idle mix adj screw only) and needed modifying to clear the filter housing & gas tank, but started 3rd pull. Notes...top left adj screw hi spd mix, had to cut off plastic guard down to screw to clear air filter housing. Right top screw idle mix adj. Bottom screw idle speed adj, had to cut down also. Used a Dremel to cut off the plastic guards, easy to do. Still does not idle perfect (both mix adjs roughly 1 1/4 full turns out) but does not stall (surges a tad bit), but should dial in eventually playing with idle adjs. Otherwise for the price very satisfied so far and love the fact they provide a new fuel line, 2 filters, and gaskets. Total time about an hour, I took my time for I've never fixed up a gas trimmer before, lots of experience with snowblower and lawn mower carbs - and plenty of how-to videos on internet to guide the inexperienced. MUCH easier than rebuilding the old carb (keeping it anyway, may rebuild eventually).

My Sthil weed eater ran like crap, only after spending 30 minutes to start it. If it went dead, you'd have to wait till it cooled off to ever get it started again. It has always been hard to start since new. I bought this new carburetor, had fuel filter, lines and all changed out in 15 minutes, fired up on the 2nd pull, tweaked it a tad and the results were simply amazing. It starts and runs better than it ever has and I could not be more impressed. I have no idea how they can sell them for $15 and make any profit. GREAT buy and AWESOME product!!!

I have a Stihl trimmer with a carb that never seemed to run right no matter how much I adjusted it. I repair and rebuild small engines from time to time and the answer to the problem of not running constantly is usually a dirty carb or a fouled spark plug. This kit gives you a new carb, spark plug, and a couple other replaceable items for about $15. It's a great deal and when I swapped my carb out with this one it started right up. The fuel and air filters are nice, but honestly they don't really do much. The only time you have to replace a filter on one of these small engines is if it is completely clogged. The fuel lines are nice, but you only need to replace those if you have a leak. Good little kit. A new carb makes a world of difference.

Ordered to replace the failed carb on an FS45 trimmer. Slightly different design of mounting gaskets, however perfectly functional. Did have to remove one of the plastic caps covering an adjusting screw in order to reinstall the air cleaner housing. Trimmer fired on the second pull. Carb came with idle set screw backed all the way out, so just had to turn it in a bit to set a proper idle speed. The other components in the kit are perfect replacements for the OEM components. Highly recommend.

The kit contained everything needed for a fuel system rebuild plus a new spark plug and extra priming bulbs which may be needed before another Carb replacement. The fuel system related items appear to be of good quality and fit my FS45 perfectly . The spark plug is a "no-name" brand and I can't speak to its quality. The kit would be well worth the $16 I paid even without a spark plug. The trimmer started and ran without difficulty after the "rebuild." I did have to adjust the idle jet screw slightly so that idle would be smooth and sustained when the trigger is released. Easy-peasy.

I thought I might just need a spark plug since trimmer would run 5 min or so then quit, but this kit supplies a spark plug and just installing it made no difference. After the carb installed, it runs fine after a little adjustment. Here are some tips for the adjustment: First set idle speed high enough the machine stays running. Then adjust the screw labeled "L" until you get the maximum RPM's. Then set the idle speed low enough that the head doesn't turn. Then run it wide open at full throttle after the machine is warmed up and adjust the screw labeled "H" to get the machine running smoothly and high speed. But don't lean it out too much, you will score the cylinder and piston and overheat the engine. What you need to do is back the screw off enough that it starts running rich and stumbling a little, then slightly turn clockwise until it runs fast again. That will be the correct setting. Remember if this is a trimmer, have the maximum normal line length played out to get the adjustment correct when there is the correct line out. Hope this helps you. The kit is a great value with gaskets, primer bulbs, fuel lines, and spark plug. Great!

I usually don’t write reviews but I was so impressed with this item, I had to. First, I was skeptical with this being from China and being so reasonably priced. I didn’t want to spend a lot but I also needed my Stihl to run. Removing and replacing was very easy. 2 8mm nuts hold this on, remove the air filter, disconnect the throttle cable and 2 gas lines and you’re done. The one problem, as stated in another review, was the adjustment screw plastic cap. I carefully removed the cap with a loose grip from a pair of pliers. This screw can still be adjusted by the slotted head if needed. I reconnected the hoses and cable, and tightened the 8mm nuts, pressed the primer a couple of times and it started and ran great. I did need to turn the idle adjustment screw in one full turn for a better idle. I HIGHLY recommend this carb kit.
