Grips work Great!

4 year old Autistic daughter loves the feel of the grips and likes the colors, we're still working on her training/grip. After a month (30 days) of training so far, her finger muscle has adjusted but her anxiety of having her fingers gently retrained slightly keeps her from wanting to use them often. Work in progress but as far as the product is concerned the material is soft and stretchy, and needs an adult to push the grip onto the pencil.

Helps with writing neater

My son is in 4th grade and was struggling with good penmanship. Most of his stuff you couldn't read. Not sure how his teach graded half his papers! We go him these pencil grips and it has helped TREMENDOUSLY! His writing still isn't great, but you can read it! In a few more years, he will be typing all his papers anyways, so these are a short term fix.

While I wish they were cheaper, these were the first pencil grips my five-year-old actually liked. She is on the younger side for kindergarten, and is struggling with handwriting. Her pencil grip with a little off, and she hated every other pencil grip I bought her. These finally have her hold her fingers in the correct spots, and she likes these so much better than any other thing we've tried. Will buy again.

A Great Find

I purchased these for my grandson who is entering the first grade. As an artist, I understand the value of learning to hold a pencil correctly, and am saddened when I see adults clutching pencils in awkward ways. But learning to hold a pencil correctly can be painful, creating blisters and writing calluses. After shopping around and reading reviews, I settled on Firesara 2018 pencil grips and sent them off to my grandson. My daughter was thrilled. Her feedback was that they are very soft and hold fingers in the perfect position. They are far superior to the triangular pencil holds she used as a kid. They fit her son's fingers and also hers, although she doubted they would work for a man. And she liked them so much she kept the pink one for herself to use. She will be recommending it to the preschool staff where she works.

I have a 5 year old that has struggled with her pencil grip over the past two years, developing some bad habits. We've tried a lot of traditional tools like triangle grips and newer ones like finger 'claw' grips or molded putty grips. none of them had any success I don't know how I came across this product, but I sort of halfheartedly purchased it. IT WORKED from the first day. More specifically, the butterfly grip worked immediately from the first time she used it, and I didn't even help to position her fingers on it. We will be using this from this point forward to see if it helps to create the correct 'muscle memory' going forward.

LOVE THESE

These grippers are a MUST if your child is struggling with their pinch grip. My 5 year old was still gripping his writing utensil with a three finger death grip. Both designs of these grippers have been a huge help in mastering his pinch grip. He still, occasionally, uses them at home, but doesn't need them anymore at school. :) My 3 year old is also using them at home. She wants to be like her big brother. They have helped her in mastering a proper pencil pinch grip. I will be buying more of these to gift to their teachers.

Restrain my daughter's fingers

I tried many different kind of pencil grips. This is the only one that really help my daughters. My oldest daughter is 13 years old. She doesn't follow using direction for other kind of pencil grips. This is the one can really restrain her fingers. Also the texture is smooth no sticky feeling. That's a plus to me.

Amazing & Immediate Results

My daughter always had issues with holding her pencils correctly, despite the countless times someone had been shown how to do so. This became an "issue" her first week of kindergarten, prompting a phone call from a concerned teacher. After some research online, I decided these pencil grips made the most sense and were the thing to try first. The change was pretty much immediate. The grips forced my daughter's hand (see what I did there?) and made her hold her pencil properly, improving her handwriting legibility tenfold. After a week or two, I replaced thr butterfly-styled grip with a fish-styled one, and have never had to correct her a single time since. She can pick up any writing utensil now, with or without the grips, and use it correctly and effectively. These little tools work and come highly recommended.

Great tool for teaching proper pencil grip

I purchased these pencil grips because my Grandson had spent most of his Pre-K school year holding his pencil incorrectly. I started trying to show him the proper way but he was so used to the other way, that he would quickly slip back. After ordering and using these grips, it didn't take him long to get the idea of how I wanted him to hold his pencil. He started off asking me to help him put his fingers back into the grip, then he would put them in there by himself, until gradually he would start off writing with the grip and then write some without the grip, until he eventually stopped using the grip altogether. He holds his pencil correctly now without me correcting him! My other Grandson learned easily with the little triangle wedges added to the pencil. However, if you have a child that is greatly struggling or determined on holding a pencil improperly, I highly recommend these grips...they worked like a charm!

My 5 year old was having trouble understanding the correct way to hold his pencil. He’s starting school this year so we purchased these in hopes they would help him get a better understanding of where his little fingers need to go. We let him choose the color he wanted on his pencil then placed his fingers on the positioning spots and he lit up out of excitement that he was holding his pencil like a big boy!! My almost 3 year old even liked using them on her crayons! I tried it myself and it was very comfortable. I highly recommend these for any child having trouble holding or learning how to properly hold a pencil! It made my son feel a little more confidant and excited to start school!
