Budget price, quality build

I was a little skeptical of the price when ordering, but I needed an inexpensive projector stand for my backyard movie setup. When I received this product I was surprised by the quality for the price. This tripod is very sturdy with metal legs and a thick metal platform for the projector. It is very easy to set the height with the independent leg extensions and even tilt the projector stand by making one or two legs longer. For fine tuning height adjustments there is a crank you can turn, and it works well. Vankyo even includes a mouse mat like pad for the projector and elastic straps to keep everything in place. The platform is ample sized to fit my Epson projector, a power strip, and my Roku stick with cableing. The only possible negative I can think of is the lack of a tilt adjustment on the head of the tripod. Personally I prefer that it doesn’t have a tilt adjustment because ones I have had in the past with that feature end up loose and whatever is mounted slowly slides forward or back. Plus you can adjust the tilt by extending a leg or two and it’s much more stable than a pivot point. All in all I highly recommend this for a sturdy, budget conscious projector tripod.

I Was Hesitant To Spend $40...

Afterall, you can always find a chair or table, right? Well I was getting ready for a bat mitzvah and I decided it was worth it just for the look in the hall. After seeing it, I'm glad I went ahead with the purchase. The tripod is light-weight and easy to set up. It snaps into place too so you don't have to worry about it falling down. The plate is heavier than I expected, but it's solid and it won't break easily. The whole thing takes seconds to put together and works great! I'm planning to mount a surge strip to the bottom of the plate and put a bag together with this, the portable screen, and the projector so I've got it all in one place! In fact, the only thing I still need to do is to order a second one of these for my laptop and a small chair for me to sit on and I'll be ready to project movies at campouts and other outdoor events!!!

Keeps projector level on a slope!

We host neighborhood movie night on our driveway, which has a nice downward slope similar to how movie theater seating slopes down towards the screen. The problem with this slope, however, is trying to keep the projector level. I bought this stand for the independently adjustable legs and it's perfect. Without much effort, I can make each leg the exact size needed to keep the projector level. The legs have a clip to "lock" the adjustments in place. The tray is nice and big and holds our projector (Vankyo 510) with plenty of room for the remote control to sit on it as well. The tray has a small lip to keep the projector from sliding off if it gets bumped. My only request would be to make the non-slip mat that comes with the tray larger and permanently affix it to the tray. I don't see the point of if coming off. Also, the carrying case (bag) only holds the tripod legs, not the table, so not sure the point of it. I bring up the last 2 points just in case Vankyo actually reads this review. :)

Sturdy, easily portable, holds projector and laptop.

The stand itself is sturdy and yet easily portable. I found I needed a book to prop the Vankyo projector VANKYO LEISURE 410 LED Projector with 2500 Lux, Carrying Bag and HDMI Cable, Portable Projector Supports 1080P, HDMI, USB, VGA, AV, SD Card, Compatible with Fire TV Stick, PS3/PS4, XBOX on to get it at the right angle for an old 49" x 48" Da-Lite VIP screen. The propping screw on the bottom of the projector doesn't lift it high enough, and this projector stand is flat, with no tilt. However, one good thing about that is I was able to put both the projector and my laptop on the stand together. I might have been able to lift the platform high enough, but then the projector would have been in the line of sight of the seated audience. This, my screen and a great little laser pointer Restar LP0001 RF 2.4GHz Wireless USB PowerPoint PPT Presenter Remote Control Laser Flip Pen [LIFETIME WARRANTY] were a great complete setup for my presentation to adults in a classroom setting.

Good design, light weight, Sturdy tray and easy to setup! Awesome Customer Service!!!!

This is an overall good product, well designed and easy to assemble. Its inexpensive and it's mainly made of aluminium and I'm not sure how much it will last. I guess if one takes special care it should last long. The tray is very strong and sturdy. The height is optimal and it stands very balanced. I would recommend it despite a few small things that happened to the item I received (explained below and in photo 2) NOTE: after assembling it, for some reason the stabilizing tube under the base separated and I cant get it back in place, I'm not sure that this is how it should work (see 2nd photo), I guess not and I will be contacting VANKYO and see what they say (I'll have the chance to test their Customer Service). I really need it for a short event so I will use it and might return later just because I don't have much choice. I will update on how everything worked out. UPDATE 9/13/2018 (4 to 5 Stars) I contacted VANKYO (VAN-DIRECT) Customer Service on 9/11/2018 and today (9/13/2018) I received a brand new replacement at my door, no questions asked and they actually sent me a prompt message apologizing for the inconvenience. What Customer Service!!! They rock at VANKYO (VAN-DIRECT) Customer Service and I'm so grateful and happy with their service and quick response! They really worry about customer satisfaction. This replacement came well packaged, in perfect condition and working as expected. I'm sure the defect was a mistake than could happen to anyone but they do their very best to solve any issue promptly. I would buy their products again without hesitation and will definitely do business with them again without a doubt. I truly recommend doing business with VANKYO (VAN-DIRECT) and I recommend buying this projector stand because of it's design, light weight, sturdy tray and easy to setup. Perfect For My Vankyo Leisure 510 Projector!

Tripod is perfect for my Vankyo Leisure 510 projector and remote. It is lightweight but sturdy. Each leg locks in place nicely and can be adjusted accordingly. You can also add more height by using the hand crank which raises/lowers the center pole on the tripod. Just don’t forget to lock the center pole in place by tightening the screw below the level indicator (See Picure) before you place your projector on the tray. Also comes with a storage bag that houses the tripod itself. It does not house the tray as it is too large to fit into the bag. There is also a rubberized Mat that you can place on the tray to prevent slippage. The mat is not fixed to the tray. It is removable. If you want to have it stick permanently you can just use some double sided tape to keep it from moving.

Fast and sturdy set up.

Tried this for the first time this past weekend and it was great. I installed a screen under my patio and was using a small table for a stand. Since the floor of my patio is sloped for any drainage I needed to shim up the legs and sometimes the projector it self plus I had no height adjustment. This stand fixed all that. I was up and going in about 5 minutes. Everything was solid. Great stand. You won't go wrong with it.

Unexpected height and stability.

I really like this product. When I first took it out of its box, I thought "classy and durable." It truly looks amazing. At first, I was disappointed because I thought it was a bit smaller than I expected and wasn't stable on carpet. As it turns out, I was still able to extend it past the second level and into the third (as can be seen in the picture with blue circles - it turns from that into the other picture fully extended). With the legs further extended, the stand is also more stable on carpet (duh). I was only able to find that out as I was putting it away. The other features I was impressed with was the knob and crank, also circled in one of the pictures. They're very handy in adjusting the height, and the knob keeps the extended pole pretty stable. The only thing I am discontent about is the strap(s) used to hold my projector in place. It's elastic, but it's not big enough to hold my projector onto the tray. No worries though, I'll live as long as I don't knock it over. XD. The projector I have is the VIVIBRIGHT Projector C90 for $104 at the time of writing this. a little buddy

I used this to go to a event and ended up loaning it to a person that need a music holder. It dose not tilt but it was great because it could hold the music and have something to hold it so it would not blow away. I can even use it to stand while working on things so I don't have to get up and down a lot. I was told that this might even accommodate a microphone because of the threads that hold the shelf on are big. Because of being plastic be careful with the handle to raise the telescoping part for the platform area. It could get hard to move up but just take your time. The only off thing, is the bobble to level the unit. You can't see it if the platform is already screwed on and it does not measure to sensitive. It goes from outside the red circle to inside the circle. It is like a jump in and out, not a gradual motion to stabilize the unit. Have fun with this and it is great for a laptop for standing work. The reason for the buy was for a projector and that did not work out because the light out did not make it possible to read documents. but a movie was ok and the speaker in the unite was ok. Sent it back and am looking for a new one. I also use it for side table for paper work that I am working on and need more space aroune me to lay out the project. I goes any hight you need.
