Bridge Rectifier works great

I was disappointed as I thought it was a flux capacitor. Got shot by the terrorists. My Dad never got to be a famous author. On the other hand I used this bridge rectifier in a successful LED light installation. AC from engine pigtail converted to DC for the LEDs. Works great. I do recommend getting a capacitor to eliminate the flicker. I installed it under the snow blower instrument housing with some Velcro. You can use a screw if need be.

Perfect for upgrading an Astron 35 amp power supply

This unit has significantly greater capacity than the original parallel units installed in my Astron 35 amp supply. I could have probably rewired to use only one and still have greater than original current carrying capacity, but I chose to retain the original configuration that only uses half of each bridge. I also chose to replace the original 2N3771 transistors with 2N5686's that have MUCH better specs. Even though they are more expensive, I would rather spend a few bucks now than need to make another trip to replace failed components again.

Pretty cool and solid performer. I needed to convert AC to DC for LED lights on a snowblower. Works like a champ.

1st one blew at 2amps or less

I used these for a power supply for a 2 1/2hp dc motor. Works great so far. Update, i take it back, second time using it i was running mabe 2 amps through it and it blew. Supposed to be rated to 50amps, noy even close. Thankfully it was a 2 pack. Hopefully the other holds up. I had plans for the second but not now.
