DIY USB C Hub

For some reason, no one makes a USB C Hub. Go ahead, search. I'll wait. Pleased with product and speed of receipt

After a disappointing purchase from another vendor (description was same but actual product was wrong), I had low expectations when I put in my order for this Basesailor USB C Female to USB Male Adapter. The description and picture looked right and the price was good (2 per pack) so even if it didn't quite work for what I had in mind, I would still be okay if the item worked overall. Thankfully, the adapter were exactly what I needed. An adapter for a USB-C adapter so I could use the USB-C adapter with a USB port. Such a small item, but quite an impact. Suddenly, I could use the USB-C adapter with my laptop via a standard USB port. That expanded how I could use my laptop and also the USB-C adapter. It isn't limited to just one or two devices in the household but any device that has a standard USB port. So I'm quite pleased with this product. Also bonus points on how quickly it came in. There has been delays on other items (not judging the USPS or Amazon as it has been a tough season), but this was received in good time and that was a nice surprise.

Works perfectly....

Was looking for this so that I could use USB-C power cables for iPad to charge my new iPad pro with the older version of iPad chargers. While the charging is a little slower since the old iPad charger is 12 watts and the new iPad Pro charger is 18 watts, it still works. This little adapter lets me do it. Works perfectly and is very compact. Plus as a two-pack, it is a great value. Highly recommend.

A great solution for using USB power adapters with a USB C charging cable

When I purchased the 2018 iPad Pro with a USB C connector and USB C charging cable, I realized I had one option for charging my new iPad Pro (the Apple USB C power adapter that comes with the iPad Pro). I began looking for an adapter to use the USB C cable with my existing USB power adapters. I found this product by Basesailor (with help from the seller) and it met my criteria. It is compact so it works well in tight spaces. There are two in the package, so the cost was reasonable. I am pleased with my purchase.

Great When I Need to Use a Cellphone Device On MY Laptop

Handy adapter when all you have is a USB C male cable but need to connect to a USB A port. I find this when I want to connect an adapter I generally use on my cellphone to my laptop. Since my laptop is a Dell which does NOT have any USB C ports , this is the only way I can use these accessories on the laptop.

Whatever consortium of great thinkers created the USB-C standard should all be banned from official engineering roles. Luckily, these adapters can be added to normal usb ports to provide the mystical backwards compatibility that USB interfaces usually have. Now if we can only get a USB-C hub! I use this because I have a USB-C Yubikey, which works perfectly on PC and MAC. I also used it to connect my Google Pixel, and it works. Data, charge rates are slowed down to USB 2.0 standards because this adapter only has a 4-pin USB-A interface. But I can handle that slowdown thanks to the opportunity of not having to buy another Yubikey.

Attach Older Electronics & Cables to Newer USB C Ports

I have an older phone charger adapter in my car that still worked perfectly well except that I couldn't connect it to my newer phone with a micro USB C port. This adapter fit into the existing cable I keep connected to the charger in my car and solved the problem of how to connect to my new phone. This was a very easy, inexpensive solution. I can still use my older car charger and cable, simply by using this small but effective adapter. I use it every day and so far it seems well-made and sturdy. It does what you need for a relatively small price

Works as I needed it to - something to connect ...

Works as I needed it to - something to connect my Yubikey USB-C to a machine with only USB-A ports available. So far it seems to work flawlessly.

So far works great. Bought it to use for a usb-c cable I have for my MacBook Pro so that I can still use it for charging/data on my Mac and charging from my powerbank while on a business trip I’m on. No complaints so far.
