So much fine grass dust....

Enormous bag, great price.
I unfortunately don't have the best idea of how much hay 96 ounces is but... it's a lot. This was an excellent price for the amount. It took maybe a third of the bag to fill half of my hamster's 55 gallon; I was totally expecting to have to dump the entire thing in when I purchased it, so I am very happy with this result. I won't have to order for another few cage cleans.

Makes for a happy bunny!
So I've been buying this product for a while now.. every few weeks I order 2 or 3 giant 96oz bags, for maybe 2 yrs now. I've never had an issue before, but felt obligated to inform others with my most recent experience. We have a bunny who we love dearly. And we want what's best for him. I used to think this brand satisfied that, but I'm starting to 2nd guess myself. With this last bag of Kaytee hay.. towards the bottom of the bag I found what looks like "fake hay". Which is disturbing because we feed this to our little guy. I know this may sound ridiculous but whatever it is.. it is not actual hay. It looks snd feels like hay-colored easter grass. It's reflective in the light, and feels like plastic shreds. I'm now asking myself how many times has this has happened and I just didn't notice. (Hopefully never!) I fear making this purchase again. I'm posting a picture below, but again it is hay-colored...sort of... so it might look normal to you in the pic, but it most certainly is not hay. In the pic there is a pile of actual hay you can compare it to. I'm sorry to write this review as I've been a loyal customer since our first purchase. Hopefully this was just a one time error, and the company will look into it. I'd hate to see "somebunny" get hurt. Original Review:: So I see a bunch of negative reviews with this KATEE hay. I don't know what other people are getting, but we are happy repeat buyers. We are fortunate enough to have an adorable little bunny in our home. His name is Gotham. We want the best for him, like most people do for their pets. This is the brand Gotham's vet said he uses for his rabbits. This one meets all nutritional needs (as far as hay goes.. remember they need dark leafy greens too!,) and it stays fresh even when this huge 96oz bag is nearing the end. It takes Gotham about a month to eat one bag. It seems like a lot to me but he's healthy and happy. We've tried other kinds of hay in the past, here and there, but this is the brand we started with.. even as a new little bunny. And its definitely his favorite. He will intentionally hop through me pouring the hay so that he gets showered in it. Though messy, it is quite adorable! And then he's busy for hours chomping away. With other kinds he'll get excited at first, nibbles a bit and leaves. On another note I'll never buy a 3lb bag for 12 bucks in store ever again! That's ludicrous in comparison to the prices here. And it is always delivered quickly! i. A+ for price, shipping and product. I think it's a great deal!

Guinea Pig rated 5 stars!
Kaytee Timothy Hay is my go to hay, for my little fuzzies. My guinea pigs enjoy this brand of hay, with it's fresh, edible sized grass and hay :=> I have tried other brands, but I usually end up with hay too big for my guineas girls to eat. That tears up their mouths, and ends up being used for a costly layer of bedding - that they didn't need.

Hay All Day
If you've got a hungry, hungry hippo for a rabbit you're probably going to need some hay (if you're not feeding your rabbit an all day hay supply, you're doing bunny parenting wrong, FYI). So save yourself a buck, and buy it in the largest quantity you possibly can. Sure, it's an enormous bag that doesn't entirely fit in any of my cabinets, but I'd rather have too much then not enough. In all seriousness, I've been buying this specific brand since I got my mini-rex when he was around eight weeks old (and he has - so far - lived a very long, very healthy life). There was one autumn when I attempted to buy a bail of hay (it was only $5) from a local farmer for the buns, but he wasn't having any of it. So, the Kaytee Timothy Hay is available for his munching pleasure all day, erryday. He especially likes the ones with the the feathery/furry tips. Definitely the only brand I'll ever use!

Great Hay - Our Rabbits LOVE IT!
We used to purchase this hay in smaller bags from PetSmart. This larger size bag lasts for several months and the consistency of the hay is great! The pieces of hay aren't too large to make too much of a mess and some is chopped up a bit here and there. Our rabbits love this hay and get this hay daily! One is more on the fussy side than the other but he still enjoys chowing down on this hay! No issues with any mold or bug problems and the bag is shipped safely and securely in a box to prevent bag tears. Will be buying again soon!

Works Great for My Guinea Pigs. They Love It! Would Highly Recommend.
I very happy with this hay, and so are my two guinea pigs. They absolutely love it. At first, I was feeding them hay that I bought from a rabbit rescue store. They sold pet food, including bales of hay for rabbits and guinea pigs. The hay was that long yellow stand kind and was packaged in the store in a plastic bag. My guinea pigs ate this hay at first, but over a few weeks, they were eating less and less of it. So I switched to Kaytee Timothy Hay. And they love it! They have been eating it for months now, and they get excited, making their wheek wheek sounds, when they hear me handling the plastic bag it comes in to restock their hay feeder. My guinea pigs also have a healthy diet of guinea pigs pellets and fruits and veggies. They get a serving of pellets in the morning, and fruits and veggies at night, with hay restocked in their feeder twice a day And they have a large habitat, 3 levels, so they can run around in. And this, along with them eating the hay, has them very strong, alert, active, and healthy.

The is the new place where I buy hay!
Far better quality hay than I used to buy at a certain large chain store nearby. And it's only two cents more per bag! I would buy the same brand at the store but for some reason it is just better from whatever Amazon gets it from! Plus, I'm not tempted to go to the store and buy a bunch of other things that I don't need when I only went in there to get hay!

Been using it forever.
Astounding price for astounglynlarge amount of hay. I have been using this brand forever with my rabbits and they all love it. It always arrives quite fresh from Amazon. I would suggest ifnyounonlynhave one rabbit like me and not a farm :) to get an airtight container to store this in so it doesn't go stale. You could keep the bag tied shut but I find it much easier to reach into a container.

Lilly Loves Kaylee Timothy Hay
This hay has no preservatives or additives and is grown and sun cured in the USA. I use to get big bales of Timothy hay during the winter months because I had more than one Guinea Pig. Now my son just has his little girl, Lilly. She has been looking rough lately and not hardly eating. So, I decided to try some better product hay. From the first day, I feed her the Kaylee Timothy Hay, that I bought from Amazon, she ate it all -every crumb. I’ve read a few reviews before buying this product and I have had no problems with this bag of hay being filled with bristles. I’ve seen improvement in Lilly’s overall health since she has been eating this hay. I recommend this hay and will continue using it.
