Wish I would have got the X7 first

The X3 is the most basic of the bunch compared to the X5 and the X7. If you're looking to do your toe into flash carts, this is the best way to go. There is really no downside other than not being able to be used as a Ram backup cart for the sega CD and no save states.

Simple Setup, Requires microSD Card, Quick ROM Loading

The Mega EverDrive X3, which is the lowest of the 3 variants offered, has breathed new life into my Sega Genesis collection. Easy to setup, I had it up and running games in minutes. It's been great not having to switch cartridges whenever I want to play something different. I've been able to experience all of my old favorites as well as some titles I wasn't able to play back when the Genesis was relevant. The speed of loading is quick, and my 16GB microSD card (not included) held every ROM in the complete Genesis/MegaDrive collection easily. I sorted the titles into alphabetical folders to make it easier to find and have yet to find a title the EverDrive could not launch. I understand the higher numbered versions have support for the SegaCD and the X7 has the ability to save game states. Both nice features, but when the X7 is 3-4 times the price as the X3, this one fit my needs perfectly. I highly recommend anyone with a Sega Genesis or MegaDrive to pick one of these bad boys up; you will not be disappointed.

Works as expected

I'm using this with a model 1 Genesis + 32X and so far everything works great with it. Genesis and 32X games both work perfectly, including homebrew titles. I mostly use it for 32X games since 32X emulation is generally iffy. Since the games are running on original hardware there are no issues with compatibility or audio quality like on an emulator or clone system.

The perfect Genesis flashcart for my needs.

The Mega Everdrive family are one of the most robust Flashcarts on the market for any video game system and the X3 just gives me all the features I need. The other models have nice things like save states, a master system pause button and Sega CD ram cart compatibility, but for some one like me that only wants to play Genesis games the X3 offers crazy amounts of value at a price that cannot be beat. If I had to give it a con is that you have to reset to save your battery backups. But not only most Genesis games do not have a save function, but with so many games at your fingertips you’ll quickly get into the habit of resetting the system just to try something else anyway.

I have two flash carts from this manufacturer and they both work great and are incredibly easy to set up.

Fantastic Device!

This is an ingenious device that was effortless to set up and has worked flawlessly. I couldn't have asked for more, especially for price. The X3 does everything I wanted it to do.
